Minneapolis Mayor Betsy gave a wide-ranging State of the City speech Tuesday at a mosque in north Minneapolis, covering everything from Nicollet Mall and President Donald Trump to affordable housing and workforce development. Running for re-election in November, Hodges said the city must embrace the discomfort of transformation, a theme of her campaign, and work tirelessly to create “One Minneapolis” that “works for everyone,” and where everyone contributes to making the city work for everyone else. (Snip) Hodges repeated her commitment to resist Trump and stand in the way of his “attack and unfairly targeted policy” against Muslims. “When Donald Trump
Comments: Never mind the Muslim terrorists caught in Minneapolis just the other day, or the little girls just killed and maimed by a Muslim terrorist in Manchester... Mayor Ding-a-Ling promises, at a mosque, to oppose the hateful agenda of Donald J. Trump. Meanwhile, among her opponents in the upcoming mayoral race is one Aswar Rahman. Why not elect him instead and really embrace the new vision for the city?
Was in the city recently. My impression...what a horrible , cold- blooded, place to live. I helped steer a blind man to his destination when many passed him by as he turned in circles, I helped a disabled vet with how service dog find a ride when the car rental wouldn´t rent him a car, as EVERYONE ELSE ignored him. Never want to go there ever again. You morons deserve your pathetic politicians.
My dear friend´s son is in the military. He is stationed in the city of Minneapolis. Now as Texans, his young family wasn´t exactly expecting the famous friendliness of our state, but sheesh it isn´t just the weather that is COLD. Brrr.
Basically the mayor of Minneapolis has created a safe haven for Islamic terrorists in her own city. At some point in the future she will have blood on her hands when a terrorist attack originates from there.
Used to vacation 50 miles south of Mupples in the early 80s and was amazed by how the Somalis that had taken over most of the downtown area of what was always billed as an "All American City". No attempt to assimilate-drying fish on the roofs of high-rises and the smell of human excrement everywhere. That was over 35 years ago. Can only imagine what it´s like now and have no plans to find out.
I travel to Minneapolis frequently on business. It is inundated with Muslims. They are rude, pushy, and many obviously don´t shower. But we are talking about a State who elected a Big Time Wrestler as Governor and sent a comedian to represent them in the Senate. Avoid Minnesota if you can.
FTA: "Standing on a podium in white ankle socks" The very IMAGE of a leader against the 7th century death cult. With her sweet little girl look. HOW MANY little girls were wearing ankle socks in Manchester when they were blown apart by a MUZLIM???
Several teenagers who were involved in a deadly crash after stealing two cars had a whopping 126 arrests between the six of them. Keontae Brown, 16, Jimmie Goshey, 14, and Dejarae Thomas, 16, died after allegedly racing a stolen car through a red light going 100mph and smashed into another car. Keontae Brown´s younger brother Keondrae, 14, was also in the car but survived after the vehicle was launched into the air before bursting into flames in Palm Harbor, Florida on Sunday morning. They were allegedly playing a ´cat-and-mouse´ game with Kamal Campbell, 18, and Deyon Kaigler, 16, who were
A 26-year-old man was found dead at the home of a well-known Democratic party donor late last month of an apparent drug overdose. The incident occurred on July 27 around 7.22pm at the West Hollywood home of Ed Buck, a high-profile political activist and wealthy contributor to the California and Los Angeles County Democratic Party. (Snip) ´[Buck] would have my son to go out to… Santa Monica Boulevard looking for young gay black guys so he could inject them with drugs, see their reaction and how [they] would react and take pictures of them.´
This picture is believed to show the suspected terrorist shot and arrested in connection with this morning´s attack in Paris, which saw six soldiers injured when a BMW mowed down their patrol. Hamou Bachir, 36, is under armed guard in hospital after he was ´seriously wounded´ in a fierce gunfight close to the northern port town of Boulogne-sur-Mer after he was intercepted driving towards Calais. (Snip) The suspect - who also uses the name Benlatreche - is thought to be an illegal immigrant who was subject to a ‘foreigner infraction’ notice meaning he faced deportation to Algeria, which used to be French
During a sweep, immigration agents nabbed 32 convicted sex offenders on Long Island and held them for deportation. The offenders, with convictions ranging from sex abuse to attempted rape, were grabbed during a 10-day crackdown that ended Aug. 3, Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials said. The initiative was dubbed “Operation SOAR,” an acronym for Sex Offender Alien Removal. (Snip) Twelve of the nabbed are registered sex offenders, including a 24-year-old man from El Salvador arrested for sexual contact with a 4-year-old girl in Wyandanch, ICE officials said. A 36-year-old Guatemalan man was picked up
New video has emerged showing Malia Obama dozing off after a ruckus night at Chicago´s Lollapalooza music festival on Friday. The video shows the former first daughter being driven from the festival site in a golf cart like a true VIP. Sitting in the passenger seat of the vehicle, 19-year-old Malia appears to have already fallen asleep. But the movements of the car causes her head to jolt up a few times, though she doesn´t seem to open her eyes. A Secret Service officer in a yellow jacket clears the way for the golf cart, while another man drives the vehicle.
Brussels police opened fire on a car packed with explosives after a high-speed chase through the suburb of Molenbeek. Shots were fired at the vehicle after it became stuck in traffic and the driver reversed into a police car. Police cordoned off the area and told residents to remain indoors while military units checked for explosives. (Snip) ´When the police arrested him, he claimed to have explosives so not to take any risk, the army has been called in to check.´ She said ´mentally unstable´ suspect was from Rwanda and was not known to have a police record. The vehicle was reportedly registered in Germany.
President Trump lashed out at Sen. Richard Blumenthal in a tweetstorm on Monday, calling the Democrat a “phony Vietnam con artist!” "Interesting to watch Senator Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut talking about hoax Russian collusion when he was a phony Vietnam con artist!,” Trump wrote on Twitter. (Snip) ”He told stories about his Vietnam battles and conquests, how brave he was, and it was all a lie. He cried like a baby and begged for forgiveness like a child. Now he judges collusion?” Trump wrote.Blumenthal had said he served “in” Vietnam. But the New York Times revealed that he had received
Washington — The Republican tax reform leader in the Senate said Sunday it would be “miraculous” if President Trump could achieve his lower tax brackets for Americans. Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) cast doubt on the ability of Congress to pass legislation to lower tax rates to 10 percent, 25 percent and 35 percent. “If we could get to those rates, that would be miraculous,” Hatch, chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, told Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures.” Hatch also poured cold water on Trump’s plans to lower the corporate tax rate to 15 percent. (Snip) “We’re certainly going to hit the rich, there’s
The Republican Party should have cut off Donald Trump’s “birther” movement in its infancy, an anti-Trump Republican senator said Sunday. Sen. Jeff Flake of Arizona said he regrets that his fellow Republicans kept quiet years ago as Trump rallied his phony conspiracy theory that former President Barack Obama wasn’t born in the United States. “I wish that we, as a party, would have stood up...when the birtherism thing was going along,” Flake said on NBC News´ “Meet the Press.” “That was particularly ugly.” Flake also condemned his party for supporting Trump’s “lock her up” campaign rally chants about Hillary Clinton,
Our sources south of the border say to keep an eye on the business interests of former Mexican President Vicente Fox, a vocal President Trump critic. “He wants to be the R.J. Reynolds of marijuana,” our spy said. And there seems to be some substance to the rumor. In June, Fox was the keynote at the National Cannabis Industry Association’s convention and told the audience that Mexico was poised to make 60 percent of all the legal weed consumed by Americans, according to the San Francisco Chronicle, which quoted the former Mexican leader as saying, “This product cannabis has to be integrated
Since the 1970s, a buzzing noise has been playing from a mysterious Russian radio station, along with intermittent code words and numbers. The station, known as ´The Buzzer´, or ´MDZhB´, can be tracked to the middle of Russian swampland near St Petersburg. But what the Buzzer is doing, or who is broadcasting it, remains a mystery - with theories ranging from the Russian military to alien research. (Snip) Its noise has changed slightly over the years, but it has always involved some form of regular buzzing, interrupted by a voice on rare occasions seemingly reading out a message.
London council planners have told developers that a new block of flats must include a gay bar - and they will send inspectors to check it´s gay enough. Tower Hamlets bosses will only let the site of closed gay bar the Joiners Arms be built on if the developers promise to include a pub that will ´remain a lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender-focused venue for a minimum of 12 years´. London´s culture at risk officer Ed Bayes will make sure the person running the bar is ´sufficiently LGBT´. Council chiefs issued the diktat because Tower Hamlets has lost seven of its 10
Hillary Clinton´s pastoral adviser urged her to keep her head up following her unexpected Election Day loss in November and compared the election to Good Friday, the day Jesus was crucified. "It is Friday, but Sunday is coming ... This is not the devotional you wish to receive this day. While Good Friday may be the starkest representation of a Friday that we have, life is filled with a lot of Fridays," wrote United Methodist City Society Executive Director the Rev. Bill Shillady in an email to Clinton obtained by CNN. "Friday is the day that it all falls apart and
The debut of Megyn Kelly´s morning show is nearly a month away, and NBC is working hard to try and make sure America falls in love with the real her. The former Fox News host was featured in a glowing segment about taking her family camping as part of the Today Show´s ´Summer of Yes´ series. Megyn, her husband Douglas Brunt, and their three children Edward, seven, Yardley, six, and Thatcher, four, were filmed hiking, singing around the campfire, and touching worms. ´Sadly, I haven´t spent a lot of time outdoors since I moved to New York. I feel the
CNN senior White House correspondent Jim Acosta unleashed a series of tweets throughout the day on Saturday blaming President Trump for the white supremacists rally and subsequently deadly violence in Charlottesville, Virginia. “These are the consequences of sanitizing white supremacists who seek to be rebranded as part of American ‘right.’ They are peddling hatred,” Acosta complained in his first tweet. Acosta made no attempt to look at his own employer or the rest of the news media in the mirror for the amount of free publicity they’ve given neo-Nazis over the last few years, but that would require a level-headed kind
Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) made it clear he has no intention to stop reminding people that President Trump is bigoted against Muslims. The congressman spoke with radio host and Mediaite contributor Dean Obeidallah, where they discussed the fallout from the recent bomb attack against a mosque in Minnesota. The Trump Administration has been noticeably reluctant to comment about the matter, and Gallego slammed the president for marginalizing Muslims around the country with his rhetoric instead of promising to protect them as citizens. “It’s disappointing that Trump doesn’t show any leadership – doesn’t even do attempt to do it on his own –
Chelsea Handler suggested on Friday that U.S. generals should carry out a military coup to replace President Trump, who she called “our idiot-in-chief.” “To all the generals surrounding our idiot-in-chief…the longer U wait to remove him, the longer UR name will appear negatively in history,” the TV personality wrote on Twitter. (Tweet) Handler’s comments come as the Trump administration, including the Defense Department, are on heightened alert over a rhetorical battle between President Trump and North Korea. Handler, a Hillary Clinton supporter who cried when the Democrat lost in November, frequently makes controversial statements about Trump. Earlier on Friday she
These pictures show the inside of Pyongyang´s 360ft deep metro system - that will double up as a nuclear bunker if war breaks out between North Korea and the US. Images show commuters using the world´s deepest underground train system which includes two lines with a combined length of 18 miles beneath North Korea´s capital. Construction work on the Pyongyang Metro started in 1968 and was inaugurated in 1973 by Kim Il Sung, the grandfather of current dictator Kim Jong-un. And while it is usually busy with commuters, the depth of the subway system means citizens could also use it as
Worst. President. Ever. Barack Obama executed the weakest economic growth in US history, the worst recovery since World War II, a genocide of Christians and minorities in the Middle East, and a disastrous foreign policy. The Democrat Party suffered historic losses under Barack Obama. (Chart) Democrats lost 1,042 state and federal Democratic posts during the Obama years including senators, representatives, governorships and the White House. (Tweet) But have faith Democrats– Barack is coming back to help rebuild the Democrat Party. The Hill reported: Former President Barack Obama will re-emerge on the national scene this fall, though Democrats expect him to
In many quarters of the American news media today, seasoned journalists seem incapable of pondering those parts of reality that don’t complement their political worldviews. It goes beyond “bias”—we’re all biased. This is negligence. Consider the trove of emails between FBI and Department of Justice officials published this week. The emails concern the June 27, 2016, meeting between former president Bill Clinton and then-attorney general Loretta Lynch. As readers may remember, Clinton paid an apparently impromptu visit to the attorney general aboard her DoJ plane while it was parked at Phoenix’s Sky Harbor airport. It was extremely improper for the two
Former President Obama will re-emerge on the national scene this fall, though Democrats expect him to do so with caution. One aide describes the beginning of a "delicate dance" that aims to put Obama in the Democratic fray, but prevent him from remaining the face of the party. Aides will huddle with Obama in the coming weeks to plot out what shape the former president´s fall schedule will take. Advisers close to him say that while he will play an active role in helping his party rebuild, much of his work will be behind the scenes. He is likely to
Democratic representative Keith Ellison said Friday that he believes Neil Gorsuch is an “illegitimate” Supreme Court justice. Speaking on a panel at Netroots Nation, a conference for progressives in Georgia, Ellison accused Republicans and Trump of assaulting the United States’ representative democracy and the independence of the judiciary. “I said the other day that I thought that Neil Gorsuch was an illegitimate justice,” Ellison asserted. “I had a great progressive come up to me and say, ‘Oh don’t say that, that’s what they say.´” “I said,’No, wait a minute. This guy escaped every rule that you’re supposed to go through
Col. David “Wil” Riggins, after a highly decorated Army career that included multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, was on the verge of promotion to brigadier general in July 2013 when he got a phone call at the Pentagon from the Army’s Criminal Investigative Division to come in for a meeting. Once there, he learned that a blogger in Washington state had just accused him of raping her, when both were cadets at West Point in 1986. An investigation was underway. Riggins waived his right to an attorney and immediately gave a statement denying any sexual assault of the woman, Susan
When we last checked in on newly released information regarding that infamous tarmac meeting between then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch and Bill Clinton, we learned that the media wasn’t terribly interested in discussing the matter any more than absolutely necessary. But as reporters continue to dig through the trove of Justice Department emails obtained by the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) through a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit, we find out that there were some people who were very interested in talking. The people in question would be Lynch’s staff and they were having a flurry of discussions with
