Sweden today announced it has decided to drop its investigation in to rape allegations made against WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. The dramatic decision was revealed by Sweden´s Director of Public Prosecution, Marianne Ny, who said the probe had been ´discontinued´. The 45-year-old Australian has been living inside the Ecuadorian Embassy in London for almost five years and has been granted political asylum. Moments after this morning´s decision, he tweeted a picture of himself smiling. It was immediately retweeted by actress Pamela Anderson who has visited him at the embassy several times. He denies the 2010 allegations which he feared would see him extradited to

Ecuador doesn´t have an extradition treaty with the US? :runningtolook:

OK - yes, we do have an extradition treaty with Ecuador; however, they don´t usually extradite Americans.

The art of the deal? Stay tuned, folks, and watch things unfold. And by the way, Barack, Bill and Hillary and all your armies of toadies and enablers hiding in plain sight in the enemedia, the permanent federal bureaucracy, the "Deep State" and all the other stinking schumer-holes in the vast and slippery Washington schiff-swamp -- you should be afraid. Very afraid. Very, very afraid. Have a nice day.

Make no mistake, the Swedes would never do this unless they thought dropping the charges against Assange would, in some way, help the Democrats and hurt President Trump. How, is a mystery, but the motivation is obvious.

The ´victim´ has changed her story. She and Assange had consensual sex, but she says he told her he nwas wearing a condom, but did not.
(In Sweden, that constitutes rape.)
Wouldn´t a woman check such things before engaging in sex??? What if the condom came off during sex? Is that still rape?

The Swedish rape charges against Assange were ridiculous. The victim claims she had been sleeping with him and having protected sex. In presumably the last instance, she discovers that he was not wearing a condom. For this he was holed up in the Ecuador embassy for 5 years to avoid arrest and probable extradition to the US.

Note that this constitutes a rape in Sweden where muslims are given a pass for gang raping their Swedish victims. Are they using condoms?

Oh come on, L Dot Com Staff, I lived in Ecuador for two years and it was very nice :-) The worst part about Ecuador was that it´s very difficult to get anything done, and the government becomes more Socialist by the day.

I now live in Colombia, which is both very dynamic and well run -- and solidly pro-American. Colombia is also incredibly beautiful, and the people extremely kind and helpful. And the coffee -- it´s nectar of the gods.
