After Mueller, Trump Critics Worry:
Maybe There’s No Scandal

American Interest, by Jason Willick

Original Article

Posted By:Pluperfect, 5/19/2017 4:55:29 AM

Eli Lake is right: The DOJ’s appointment of widely-respected former prosecutor Robert Mueller to lead the special inquiry into the Trump campaign’s potential collusion with Russia is a reprieve for a Trump Administration in crisis—a reprieve that it will almost certainly squander, but a reprieve nonetheless. How do we know? Because the responses from Trump’s most dogged critics on the Russia question betray a kind of anxiety about the Mueller appointment—an anxiety that the no-nonsense law enforcement wise man will lower the temperature in Washington without actually uncovering enough damaging material to bring down the President.

The liberals just want you to believe that Donald Trump is in crisis mode. They also want you to believe that he is disorganized and doesn´t know what he is doing. The liberals just don´t get it. . .

The Liberals should remember Ken Starr where he started in his investigation and where he ended up. Mueller may be led to Hillary´s e-mails, or her uranium deal with Russia or John & Tony Podesta´s big buck deals with Russia. And maybe to Seth Rich´s murder.

He may also be led to Obama officials who unmasked Flynn and others. For instance, Susan Rice and Valerie Jarrett. But that will set off BLM and the pink hatters.

President Trump is not tired; he is not overworked, he is not confused, and furthermore he is not anything the media wants you to think. I´m 5 years older than he is and I am still working a full week and walking to work from the train. Only difference, I don´t have the huge load of crap the media puts on his back expecting him to tote it.

Despite the manufactured daily crisis, followed by media created hysteria - we know there´s nothing there.

No scandal. No crime.

What´s going on behind the scenes is a carefully orchestrated attempt to completely hobble President Trump. The haters goal is to render our President powerless. They are ´the swamp.´

It´s safe to assume Hillary Clinton, President Obama, Comey, Reid, along with the rest of the socialists, marxists, fascists, and progressives - are working together to make this happen.

The haters are highly experienced and highly skilled. There is no shortage of ´useful idiots,´ like the reporter who leaked the supposed Comey memo without ever having seen it.

Trump critics should be worried.

Young Willick (a senior at Stanford three short years ago) seems to share the antipathy toward President Trump. His writing highlights the Dems and GOPe’s concern that Mueller will not be able to do enough. That he will only deal with any illegal activity. That other contacts with Russia will somehow go unpunished. “Rats! Foiled again!”

Their desire for a “special counsel” (they like “special prosecutor” better because of the implication that crime(s) will be found) was based on their desire for an independent fishing trip into every corner of President Trump’s and his people’s lives. A witch hunt with no prior evidence of witches.

Do any of these people realize that in today’s world having “contact” with a country with which we are not at war is not a cause to upturn our country’s government? The name of the Russian ambassador keeps coming up, yet we have already heard that Kislyak is a social butterfly who meets with anybody and everybody…

This is about personal hate. Envy. Frustration that he won. We won. All of the more base things in humanity.

If the establishment would stop taking orders from Hillary, it would do everyone a great deal of good. The sinister players behind the scenes don´t care if there´s no crime. They just want to roll the, "Trump was under investigation", for the next midterms. However, the fact there won´t be any good outcome for the establishment will eclipse any benefits they expect to derive from the witch hunt, er investigation. The democrats might even try to fabricate evidence and that too will backfire.

If Trump is being investigated, then the investigation should include all past politicians also including Obama, and Bill and Hillary Clinton along with their staff people like John Podesta and Valerie Jarrett. There are certainly more things to see concerning the Clinton Foundation and Obama´s Iran "Deal" and they should be exposed and prosecuted for abuse of power and other crimes while in office.

Anyone remember the uproar from the left during the Starr investigation about how many $millions it was costing the poor tax payers? And how many poor children could be fed with that cash?

I guess that after the left and their messiah doubled the national debt, a few dozen millions is no big deal.

It will be interesting to see how many leftist smoking guns are uncovered by Mueller. Be careful what you wish for, demonrats.

The only crime that seems to have been committed was all the hacking of the Democrats. Has anyone identified the hacker(s)? Until that is done, motive cannot be determined. Neither can collusion if any exists. All the lefties trying to tie Trump to Russia conveniently ignore this. The left wants to convict Trump without any crime. It doesn´t work that way.

If Mueller is impartial, the left should be very concerned. He can take the case in any direction that indicates crime. Not sure if Mueller will be impartial. Isn´t Mueller originally a Bush appointee? No love lost on Trump with regard to the Bushes.

Since it´s been many months now that NO information of any kind that has surfaced that Trump had any actions with the Russians that had any effect on the outcome of the election, it´s safe to say that there ISN´T any said information. What we here is the Dims screaming long and loud that they lost the election even after the "polls" told them that Hillary was a shoo in. They simply can´t get past the idea that American voters did see thing that they did. And with all of the mess that is going on now, has the Dims ever thought that just what might happen in the future? That a lot of American voters can see and what they are doing and why? That the Dims are essentially telling those voters that their vote doesn´t mean a thing? That those same voters just might turn on them even harder that they have done during the past 8 yrs? It´s something that they should consider.

Unless you work in it, it is impossible to know exactly what goes on inside any administration. The thought processes behind actions and statements are calculated and self-serving, no doubt. It’s usually not that difficult to rationalize why people acted as they did – or it was before the Trump White House. But now, more often than not, from minor to major actions, it’s often impossible to see any rationale for what is going on. I know I’m going to catch hell from some people for this, but I have to ask some questions. Most pressing is this: Is there anyone involved

The disgusting resurgence of white supremacists in 2017 America, aided and abetted by a White House engaging in toxic moral equivalence, has gotten an assist from a tiny left-wing cadre. This loosely organized band calls itself antifa (“anti-fascist”), and — unlike the broad coalition of activists arrayed in opposition to much of the Trump agenda — its members unapologetically embrace violence as the only sufficiently strong answer to those they see as enemies, even when those enemies are engaging in nonviolent protest. Down this road, madness lies. In a civil society — fingers crossed, that’s what this still is — unprovoked violence is

Democrats have responded to the tragic events in Charlottesville by obsessively picking apart President Trump’s multiple statements about those events, while steadfastly refusing to admit that the far-left antifas had anything to do with the violence they precipitated, and by demanding the removal of Confederate monuments. The departure of Steve Bannon from the White House won’t have a big impact on the day-to-day operations of the West Wing. An economic nationalist who served as Donald Trump’s political id (as well as his chief strategist), Bannon was effectively sidelined back in April, after he was removed from the National Security Council and was accused of insulting Donald Trump’s adviser and son-in-law, Jared Kushner. Bannon’s planned in-house think tank, the Strategic Initiatives Group, never quite got off the ground. Steve Bannon’s White House departure Friday was largely predictable — but not so its impact on Donald Trump’s presidency. At the least, it may help stem some of the White House infighting that has frequently undercut the president’s agenda. Bannon’s removal became all but certain when he gave an interview to The American Prospect mocking Trump’s “fire and fury” threat against North Korea. Such insubordination clearly made his continued presence as chief strategist untenable. Nor did it help that he also bad-mouthed other Trump aides, picked fights and ridiculed those he opposed.
