Michael Schmidt, the New York Times “journalist” behind the alleged “Trump-Comey Memo”, told fake news anchor, Brian Williams, that he has NOT seen the memo Comey allegedly wrote. Schmidt stumbled over his words as he commented to Williams, “Someone that had seen [the memo] had recounted details to me.” You can watch a video of Schmidt below: (Video) GotNews reports: Schmidt has been called out for getting a story wildly wrong before thanks to his anonymous sources. Schmidt, citing his anonymous federal law enforcement sources, claimed that one of the San Bernardino terrorists had talked about jihad openly. She didn’t.
Something that occurs to me, and I´m surprised nobody else has brought this up: Even if Comey can produce a ´memo´ this would be nothing more than something he scrawled on a piece of paper. There is no assurance it really represents notes taken at the time, or even if it was that it reflects what was actually said. Comey could write down anything at any time and claim it to be such a memo.
li·bel ´lib?l noun 1. LAW a published false statement that is damaging to a person´s reputation; a written defamation.
I´m not a lawyer, but the circumstances in this case appear to be such that President Trump could have a serious case of libel against the NYT and this journalist. They printed a false assertion without any confirmation or evidence, and they did so with malicious intent knowing (actualy pre-celebrating) that it would be damaging to the President. Trump has successfully won such cases before. I´d like to see him become the new owner of the NYT.
It is Jayson Blair deja vu all over again: history repeating itself, first as tragedy, then as farce. The Old Faithful of Fake News spouts again -- and gets caught again and again and again. Welcome to the Enemedia Unreality Show, season eternity, episode infinity.
Everyone, why do you think Obama brought Jarrett back to DC. This is all Obama´s doing. Please remember that the day the fake news hit about Trump telling Russians secrets and the same day this memo came out was the day that the information about Seth Rich hit the street. I´m telling you that all this fake news was to a smoke screen so that you would not pay attention to the real story of the day.....Seth Rich.
#10 - Exactly! And in so doing the democRats have re-defined the term “Preposterous” and in the process expossed all the J. Fred Goebbels J. School deciples and their ring-kissing RINOs who got sucked into the vortex of democRat lies! (can you say Kasich?) This is the new day that will live in infamy!
How much proof do you people need? We´ve already been told that Comey is a person who always writes down the details of his meetings -either during or shortly afterwords ,while it´s still fresh in his mind. I think that is something they teach in law school.
Time to impeach the President! I think they teach that at organ-grinder monkey class, too.
Numbers of us have already expressed our opinion that the memo could have been written at any time and it would still be a matter of “he said, he said”. Bear little weight.
Comey is realizing now that others know that had his “memo” described a Trump request to cancel the Flynn investigation that rose to the level of interference with that investigation, he (Comey) was required to inform Congress. He didn’t.
If he persists with this memo he puts himself in jeopardy.
He’s kind of in the soup either way, isn’t he. But backing down on his memo, admitting it doesn’t exist or that it doesn’t say Trump broke any law, only costs him face. The other could cost him far more.
We already knew he hadn´t seen it, he said so in the article. He also said his source only read parts of the memo to him and that it was unclassified. It is outrageous he would print such an inflammatory story without actually seeing the evidence. He didn´t even hear the whole thing so couldn´t possibly have known the context which as we know is critical. Fact is no one has seen it, yet "predictably deranged democrats and their unhinged allies" (h/t Sean Hannity) are so disturbed and screeching impeachment all over hell and half of Georgia. Some of those unhinged allies are Republicans - John McCain (D-Mole).
This whole thing has gotten way out of hand and Michael Schmidt should be chastised and shamed for publishing with such thin sourcing. Any "journalist" worth his salt would have insisted on seeing the memo before running the story. It all may be true but nobody, including Schmidt, knows for sure.
And Pinch was just running around, practically setting his hair on fire to get subscribers who cancelled subscription to come back- "Give us another chance- We promise to push Liberalism and global warming to the hilt- After all! We hate Trump, too! If you´ll just renew your subscriptions!" Waaaaa!
What a disaster of a "Noose Paper" Pinch has put around his neck.
No fiction writer would come up with nonsense like this.
When I was in the Air Force (1974-1986), Memos for Record were considered a form of Official Correspondence, with rules of format and distribution. Format was simple, just state the topic and summarize the action. Distribution: One copy to your files, and one sent to the other party/parties involved. That way EVERYONE knew what happened and had the same record of it.
Seems to me, since the Dems/Enemedia do not have the votes to do anything but screech like evil retards, that they should just be ignored or possibly given a middle finger in passing. No sane person is compelled to take their witch hunts or mock trials seriously, much less participate in them. Let them screech, knowing the Electoral College landslide will stand until 2020, and that we have trumped their former power to deceive with votes to spare. Best, just ignore them and get on with the work of reversing all BarackHussein´s damage.
If the memo exists, I´d have to believe he dictated it into his phone or used a computer so that metadata would exist to prove WHEN he made the memo. If in fact he wanted to leave a paper trail or build a case, he´d make sure it could be documented and verified. I doubt he used handwritten notes. If, as he claims (although I can´t be 100% sure he claims this because I haven´t spoken with him), it was his practice to create these memos after private discussions with important people, then he should be able to produce hundred or thousands of memos from conversations with others. If there ARE no others, then we have to wonder WHY ONLY Trump.
This is not "fake news"! This is not lying! This is sedition! The news media is overtly trying to take down the government! There is no other way to put this and anything less is sticking your head in the sand! Our MSM is actively anti-American!!!!
The democrat media & McCain have been crying wolf every day for 10 months. Now no one believes a word they say. A couple of years ago I heard Obama say he had his own little army, could this be the non media?
Doesn´t matter. Now that the Republicans have caved on a Special Counsel, Dems will block everything claiming the PDT is "still under investigation". Meanwhile Meuller will be setting Perjury traps left and right to "Scooter Libby" somebody.
Unless and until someone in the DOJ starts identifying and prosecuting the leakers we are screwed.
The organizers of the left-wing Women´s March are upset after American authorities deported a convicted terrorist to Jordan. Rasmea Odeh was convicted in 1970 of two bombings in Jerusalem, the Associated Press reports. One of the bombings killed two men at a supermarket. Odeh pled guilty to the charges; although, she has since made unproven claims that she was tortured into confessing. Odeh was sentenced to life in prison, but in 1979, was released during a prisoner swap with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. In 1994, Odeh applied for a U.S. visa without mentioning her criminal convictions
Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts was accused of hypocrisy Wednesday by WRKO radio host Jeff Kuhner for reliably railing against the one percent despite being worth millions of dollars. Warren, who was at the WRKO studio in Boston for an interview, met Kuhner in the hallway and the situation escalated as Kuhner asked why Warren has built her career haranguing the one percent when she herself is a member of that class. Warren defended herself, citing humble beginnings as the daughter of a janitor who was able to advance to her current position due purely to the “equality of
City attorneys in San Francisco and Oakland, California, sued five oil companies in two coordinated lawsuits on Tuesday, arguing that the courts should hold these companies responsible for climate change, and force them to financially compensate the cities for harm the plaintiffs claim those companies are causing to the planet’s environment. The two cities are suing five of the top petroleum companies from around the world: BP, Chevron, ConocoPhillips, Exxon Mobile, and Royal Dutch Shell. These local municipalities are suing them under California law for being a public nuisance. The lawsuits use virtually identical language, like accusing the oil companies
Amidst the liberal media’s undying support for Jimmy Kimmel’s emotion-driven push to socialize health care, conservative icon and podcast host Ben Shapiro demolished Kimmel’s fact-free, liberal claims on his Wednesday show. “Because of the merge of entertainment and politics, we’ve basically said that those hearts are the fullest, we’re just going to grant that their brains are also fullest. I don’t think that that’s necessarily true,” Shapiro argued at one point in the 20-minute-plus takedown. (Video) Shapiro brought up the fact that, like Kimmel’s son, his daughter needed heart surgery so she was treated by the same doctor
he University of California Berkeley is taking a proactive measure in helping its students understand the concept of "freedom of speech," by providing them a nifty training website that explains exactly why the Constitution is important, and helps them understand why they don´t need to riot when someone they disagree with speaks on campus. The site, called "Berkeley Free Speech," is a project of the UC Berkeley Office of Communications and Public Affairs, naturally, since a burning campus can quickly tank even a stellar marketing strategy. The site contains "links to articles about free speech, campus policies on hosting
CIA Agent. Fundraiser for Hillary Clinton. Apparent anti-Semite. Valerie Plame is many things. The left-wing darling just tweeted an article accusing Jews of starting American wars. After the predictable blowback, Plame first encouraged her audience "to put aside your biases" and read the article before admitting that she "didn´t do my homework on the platform." (Tweet) An especially embarrassing gaffe for a veteran intelligence analyst, the UNZ.com article in question asserted, among other things, that Jews "own the media," that Jewish people should wear labels while on national television, and that their beliefs are as
NEW YORK– President Trump took executive action on Thursday to crack down on individuals, banks, and businesses that are involved in trade with North Korea, as his administration seeks to further pressure Pyongyang into abandoning its nuclear and ballistic missile programs. "Foreign banks will face a clear choice: do business with the United States or facilitate trade with the lawless regime in North Korea," Trump said during a summit with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and South Korean President Moon Jae-in. "It is unacceptable that others financially support this criminal, rogue regime." (Video) Trump said
Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), who previously has called for the impeachment of Donald Trump, on Thursday told a Congressional Black Caucus Town Hall on Civil Rights that she expects other members of the black community to back her up: “Don´t come here and tell me, ‘Maxine, you keep on doing what you do.’ But when you gonna give me some support?” she asked. “How many of you in your organizations have said, ´Impeach 45´ ?” Waters urged the crowd not to get hung up on what law to invoke in the impeachment process: Impeachment is about whatever the Congress says it is. There is no law that dictates
Touching video shows the moment a father who lost everything in Hurricane Harvey breaks down when his five-year-old son is given a new Woody doll after his beloved toy was destroyed. Sports photographer Michael Orta´s Port Arthur house was destroyed after it was filled with four feet of stagnant flood water. He found his son´s precious Woody doll floating in the water. (Video/Photo) Even though Orta and his son Maddox lost everything in Harvey, the pair went to help others by unloading a donation truck. ´We´re still blessed because everyone´s still alive and we have family,´ Orta said. ´But when
Beijing is quickly recognizing they have painted themselves into an economic corner. Beijing enables the DPRK. President Trump specifically targets this reality as the solution to North Korea’s aggression: ¹Beijing tells DPRK to do stupid thing. 'DPRK does stupid thing. ³Trump hits Xi Jinping with economic punishment for stupid thing. In an effort to keep the panda mask as the primary focus of the international (investment) community; and facing another set of financial sanctions by President Trump and Secretary Mnuchin; and after President Trump explains to Xi Jinping that unrelenting economic pressure will only get worse; Beijing
The Washington Post reports that, although President Donald Trump and his staff were hesitant to campaign in Alabama for establishment-friendly Luther Strange, Swamp Republicans forced the president’s hand — fearing that a victory for Judge Roy Moore would motivate several allies to retire from the Senate rather than face Breitbart-backed challengers in 2018. From the Washington Post: White House Chief of Staff John F. Kelly, who has tried to control what information Trump receives about the Alabama race, was initially wary of the president appearing with a senator who might lose. He preferred Trump spend his time on
Former Trump press secretary Sean Spicer granted an interview to Washington Post media blogger Erik Wemple, which naturally focused on Wemple’s loathing of Team Trump’s media-bashing – which usually ignores Team Media’s relentless Trump-bashing. Wemple began with how Spicer´s apparently too radioactive for a cable-news pundit gig, as Obama´s spokesmen Jay Carney and Josh Earnest (not to mention "bimbo-erupting" Clinton aide George Stephanopoulos) did immediately: "Spicer spent months berating White House correspondents, sticking up for a president who’d called certain media outlets ´the enemy of
Hillary Clinton compared herself to Revolutionary War hero Paul Revere on Tuesday, saying that she is “Paula Revere” sounding the alarm on Russian active measures during the 2016 presidential campaign. (Snip) In her interview, Clinton suggested that she has led the push to call out the Russian government and Russian president Vladimir Putin about their involvement in the U.S. election. “I am saying as clearly as I can — I feel like I’m a bit of a, you know, Paula Revere — I’m trying to sound the alarm about this,” Clinton said to a smattering of laughter and applause. Clinton’s
If you had plans for the weekend, a Christian numerologist says you won’t get to them because the world is about to end. David Meade, a self-proclaimed “researcher,” is predicting that a series of apocalyptic events will begin on Sept. 23 and, “a major part of the world will not be the same.” According to Meade, the mysterious rogue planet Nibiru, also known as Planet X, is on a collision course with Earth, which will bring world-ending tsunamis and earthquakes. The numerologist claims the dates of recent events like the Great American Solar Eclipse and Hurricane Harvey’s flooding of Texas were all marked in the Bible.
Special Counsel Robert Mueller´s team is reaching back more than a decade in its investigation of Paul Manafort, a sign of the pressure Mueller is placing on President Donald Trump´s former campaign chairman. The FBI´s warrant for a July search of Manafort´s Alexandria, Virginia, home said the investigation centered on possible crimes committed as far back as January 2006, according to a source briefed on the investigation. The broad time frame is the latest indication that Mueller´s team is going well beyond Russian meddling during the campaign as part of its investigation of Trump campaign associates. Manafort,
Hillary Clinton´s "What Happened" had a big debut. Clinton´s book about her stunning loss in 2016 to Donald Trump sold more than 300,000 copies in the combined formats of hardcover, e-book and audio, Simon & Schuster told The Associated Press on Wednesday. The book´s hardcover sales of 168,000 was the highest opening for any nonfiction release in five years, according to NPD BookScan, which tracks around 85 percent of retail print sales. Mark Owen´s "No Easy Day," a 2012 memoir about the killing of Osama bin Laden, sold more than 250,000 copies in its first week. Sales for "What Happened"
A new fifth grade teacher at Canopy Oaks Elementary is asking students to use gender-neutral pronouns in the classroom. Math and science teacher Chloe Bressack sent the request home in a letter to parents headlined "About Mx. Bressack." “... my pronouns are ´they, them, their´ instead of ´he, his, she, hers.´ I know it takes some practice for it to feel natural,” the letter reads, “but students catch on pretty quickly.” The letter also asks that students use “Mx.," (pronounced ´Mix´) when addressing the teacher rather than Mr. or Ms. The note alarmed some parents. United Nations - The Latest on President Donald Trump and North Korea (all times local): 8:00 a.m. Former Secretary of State John Kerry says President Donald Trump´s United Nations speech may have put America in isolation and danger. Appearing on MSNBC´s "Morning Joe" show Wednesday, Kerry criticized Trump´s harsh rhetoric against North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. Kerry said, "You have to ask yourself: Is America safer because of ´rocket man?" He was referring to Trump´s characterization of Kim. Kerry said that kind of harsh language will make it harder for the United States to engage in diplomacy on
In Federalist No. 68, his pseudonymous essay on “The Mode of Electing the President,” Alexander Hamilton wrote that the Electoral College could shield the United States “from the desire in foreign powers to gain an improper ascendant in our councils.” (Snip) Hamilton and his colleagues never could have envisioned a year like 2016, when an enemy state—Russia—was able to manipulate America’s election process with stunning effectiveness. But it’s clear the national security rationale for the Electoral College is outdated and therefore it should be retired. Simply put, it enables foreign powers to more easily pierce the very shield Hamilton imagined
Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown of California compared President Donald Trump supporters to prehistoric cave dwellers Monday during a New York climate event. Brown, an outspoken Trump critic, issued an usually harsh derision of Trump supporters after dismissing the president’s rhetoric on climate change science and U.S. policy toward North Korea as “stupid and dangerous and silly.” “They’re both kind of very similar,” Brown said. “You should check out the derivation of ‘Trump-ite’ and ‘troglodyte,’ because they both refer to people who dwell in deep, dark caves.” Brown attended the climate event, which coincided with the U.N. meeting in New York,
U2 frontman Bono unloaded on President Donald Trump in a Rolling Stone interview published Wednesday, revealing that his Irish rock band’s new album will take on the “bully on the bully pulpit” because “silence is not an option.” In January, U2 founding guitarist The Edge revealed that “Songs of Experience,” the band’s follow-up to its platinum-selling 2014 album “Songs of Innocence,” was delayed because of Trump’s election. Now Bono says “there’s a couple of reasons why we delayed Songs of Experience. One personal, one political.” “The world around us was certainly changing out of all recognition, we nearly lost the
Lawrence O’Donnell had a really bad night on August 29, 2017.We draw that conclusion based on the above clip obtained by Mediaite, showing behind the scenes footage of a furious O’Donnell absolutely going bananas in what appear to be breaks in his show. The video, which lasts a full eight minutes, is a collection of clips from one evening (given O’Donnell’s consistent outfit) and show the MSNBC anchor fuming about earpiece malfunctions, blasting off obscenities and screaming at his staff. We were able to link it back to the August 29 show. After introducing a clip about President Donald Trump, O’Donnell pauses,
Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper suggested on Wednesday that "it´s possible" that President Trump´s voice was picked up in a wiretap as he spoke with his former campaign manager Paul Manafort. "It´s certainly conceivable," Clapper said on CNN. When asked by host Don Lemon if it was likely, Clapper said he couldn´t say, but again asserted that there is a chance. "I wouldn´t want to go there, but I will say it´s possible," Clapper said. (Video) A CNN report earlier in the week said that Manafort had been wiretapped under a FISA warrant over suspicions that Manafort had encouraged some
Armed FBI agenst with guns drawn busted into Paul Manafort’s home as Manafort and his wife lay in bed. The FBI agents insisted on searching Kathleen Manafort for weapons — after they barged into her home. This is Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ FBI. Sessions needs to go now. (Tweet) The New York Post reported: Gun-wielding FBI agents busted into Paul Manafort’s home as he was asleep in bed and even searched his wife for weapons, it was revealed Tuesday. Agents took an unusually tough approach in executing a search warrant, dealing with potential financial crimes by President Trump’s former campaign chief,
