Lindsey Graham: Russia probe
‘now a criminal investigation’

New York Post, by Mark Moore and Marisa Schultz

Original Article

Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham on Thursday said it’s clear that after Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein briefed the Senate on the investigation into Russian involvement in the presidential election that it has become a criminal probe. “The shock to the body is that this is now a criminal investigation,” Graham (R-SC) told reporters moments after he exited the Senate chamber. He said now that it has become a criminal investigation instead of an counterintelligence probe Congress may be impeded in carrying out its own examinations. “You’ve got a special counsel who has prosecutorial powers now, and I think we in Congress

Comments:
Republican stalwart Miss Graham loves a live mic and a good probe, especially if it serves the interests of the Democrat Party.

Following his quote at the bottom, he may have jusy done something smart, actually. If Congress stops "investigating", it gets them off the front page, and let´s them move on. This might be clever.

FOX online livestream all day. Lindsay Graham mentioned the word "criminal" but even if he had not, the talking heads and anchors are excitedly framing it so.

The Democrat Senators are full of boloney as no FBI nvestgations were stopped by President Trump so there was no obstruction of justice.

There is no telling where the Special Counsel investigation will lead, the Democrats may be very sorry that they harped on appointing a Specal Counsel, especially during the run up to the 2018 elections.

Once again Little Ms. Lindsey shows her ignorance. Or just plain meanspiritedness?

This “investigator” has the power to charge individuals with crimes should any turn up.

Normally investigators - the FBI for example - do not have the power to file charges. They must turn their findings over to a prosecutor.

She said, that because there were no new facts revealed by Rosenstein, it was ´probably´ a criminal investigation. Rosenstein did not say it was a criminal investigation!

How about because there were no new facts there is nothing here!

The transgender issue is the most sensitive in Britain today, sparking passionate debate among equal-rights campaigners. But now that passion has erupted into the sort of outright violence normally associated with football hooligans. Two factions – the Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminists (or so-called TERFs) and their bitter enemies Trans Activists – clashed in an unseemly bust-up that ended with a 60-year-old woman being bundled to the ground and punched in the face. The incident was caught on video and is now being investigated by the police. Mother-of-two Maria MacLachlan, who describes herself as a ‘gender critical feminist’,

Trump administration works

The Trump administration is quietly moving to allow energy exploration in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge for the first time in more than 30 years, according to documents obtained by the Washington Post, with a draft rule that would lay the groundwork for drilling. Congress has the sole authority to determine whether oil and gas drilling can take place within the iconic refuge’s 19.6 million acres. But seismic studies represent a necessary first step, and Interior Department officials are modifying a 1980s regulation to permit this initial activity. The effort represents a twist in a political fight that has raged for decades.

Almost no commentator, no reviewer, has mentioned the most newsworthy fact about Hillary Clinton´s latest memoir—which is the near total lack of anything actually newsworthy in the book. With What Happened, Clinton would at last "let down her hair," Simon & Schuster´s publicists loudly proclaimed before the book´s publication. And that was the line dutifully repeated by reporter after reporter, as though it were a fact. As though, coming from Clinton´s people, it didn´t need to be checked or reported with even the slight distancing of "Hillary Clinton says she´s let down her hair in her new book." But then,

When Congress hauls in Equifax CEO Richard Smith to grill him, it can start by asking why he put someone with degrees in music in charge of the company’s data security. And then they might also ask him if anyone at the company has been involved in efforts to cover up Susan Mauldin’s lack of educational qualifications since the data breach became public. It would be fascinating to hear Smith try to explain both of those extraordinary items. If those events don’t put the final nails in his professional coffin, accountability in the U.S. is officially dead.
