How Dare Trump Fire Comey!
Frontpage Magazine, by Daniel Greenfield

Original Article

Before the election, Nancy Pelosi had hinted that Hillary would fire FBI Director James Comey. "Maybe he´s not in the right job," the House Dem leader had coyly suggested. "I think that we have to just get through this election and just see what the casualties are along the way." The FBI Director was at risk of becoming a “casualty” over his handling of the Hillary investigation. There was no outrage and no front page editorials at the New York Times and the Washington Post. No comparisons to Watergate or calls for an investigation. A top Dem suggesting that the FBI Director would

Maxine Waters, on MSNBC yesterday, was bat sh*t crazy. The MSNBC guy tried really hard to understand her positions that Comey was bad, should have been fired by a president Hillary, but it was wronng for Trump to fire Comey.
After several attempts to find a speck of sanity in Maxine´s positions, the MSNBC guy said, ´I´m confused.´
Maxine´s comeback was ´no, you´re not.´
It was weird, even by MSNBC standards.

This fine article should be the last word on the Comey firing. But alas, it won´t be.

Trump is the President. Nobody else. Employees of the Executive Dept serve at his pleasure, and it was apparently not his pleasure that Comey be the FBI Director.

Trump Grinds the G20, the Bureaucratic

This was a week of startling contrasts. The President reasserted (against a decades-long leftist attack on it) the significant achievements of Western civilization and the need to vigorously defend it. His speech prefaced the G20 meeting in Hamburg, where leftists rioted, burned, and looted while the G20 leaders ponced about and wined and dined in style, apparently oblivious to the havoc which their open border policies and multiculturalist mindset had birthed. As Trump worked successfully on trade and defense issues in Europe, his administration was quietly plugging security leaks and maladministration in our own bureaucratic underground. A. Trump In Poland: "Our Civilisation Will Triumph"

Interrupted repeatedly by chants of “Donald Trump! Donald Trump! Donald Trump!” as he was speaking in Poland on Thursday, President Trump delivered a ringing affirmation that he would defend Western civilization: “Just as Poland could not be broken, I declare today for the world to hear that the West will never, ever be broken. Our values will prevail, our people will thrive, and our civilization will triumph.” Now, we’re used Presidents affirming that civilization will triumph. Barack Obama did it, too. Trump’s remarkable innovation here, and sharp departure from the example his predecessor set, is in declaring that Western civilization would

There is little in the news today quite as delightful as watching the mainstream media do the CNN Two-Step. The CNN Two-Step is a simple dance. Step One: Put your foot in your mouth. Step Two: Shoot yourself in the foot. The results are bloody but hilarious. The latest iteration comes from CNN´s own Jim Acosta. Acosta seems to have modeled himself on the Grandfather of Fake News, Dan Rather. Rather made his name by shouting biased and hostile questions at a president despised of the elite. Acosta has made a fool of himself doing the same thing. Acosta beclowned himself

George W. Bush is a gentleman and his father, George H.W. is too, even more so. Both were attacked maliciously and aggressively by the media and by their political opponents. I admired the civility of both presidents who were above the fray. But their presidencies suffered defeats because they were unwilling to fight fire with fire. Donald J. Trump is a different man, a different politician and a different president. Trump is a street fighter. He is going to be aggressive and cunning when politicians and the media come after him. The New Left´s Fake Patriotism

If anyone doubts that patriotism really is the last refuge of a scoundrel, a recent CNN article boasts that liberals are reclaiming patriotism. After going through their musty attics, tossing aside copies of Howard Zinn’s revisionist Marxist history of America and all the “U.S. Out of Everywhere” buttons, they found their patriotism, moth-eaten, covered in dust and a little worse for the wear. But otherwise intact. That’s right, progressives are patriotic again. Again refers to the brief period between the end of the Hitler-Stalin pact when the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union necessitated a sudden outburst of pro-war sentiment and

Hillary Clinton will be remembered for many things but being a gracious loser is not one of them. Ever the narcissist, Clinton blamed Russia, fake news, wikileaks, Comey, anyone but herself for her humiliating defeat. The bare truth is that Clinton was a supremely flawed candidate who was perceived as untrustworthy. Her flirtations with identity politics while hobnobbing with the bicoastal elite did nothing to enhance her image among blue collar union folk and the middle class. But perhaps most damning for Clinton was her email scandal which dogged her campaign like a bad rash that wouldn’t go away. Clinton

There are many discussions about the President Trump “wrestling” CNN tweet, but it’s time to get to the heart of the matter: that the tweet was brilliant, anticipating a ridiculously overwrought reaction by the legacy media, and boy, did they deliver. It’s one thing to say the media is fake and can’t be trusted, and quite another to show it to the American people. So consumed with their loathing of the president, some in the legacy media can’t see past themselves and did exactly what you’d expect the pathologically obsessed to do: pathologically obsess. While everyone else was laughing at the tweet

I wrote about it here. Read it, you might find it interesting. When I had a pizzeria for a few years, hard men would come in and ask me to fix their guns; I politely declined. What is it about “gender issues” that drives the media/political elites mad? The government of Canada handed gender activists the crucial precedent they need. As the BBC reported yesterday: An eight-month old Canadian baby has been issued a health card without a gender marker, in what could be the first case in the world. So serious are the issues of child abuse here that I must put them aside, possibly for another time. I want to confine myself to the manner in which what has to be called fantasy has permeated the ruling class when it comes to the denial of biology. Now,

Set aside for a moment that for Dem loons just electing Trump irreparably tarnished the stature of the office. Donald Trump has reportedly had trouble getting a hotel room for the upcoming G20 summit in Hamburg, Germany. In an ironic twist for the hotel chain owner, every luxury hotel in town seemed to be booked up. There do not appear to be any Trump-owned properties in the northern German city. Early on election night last November, artist Bunny Burson looked to New York City’s Javits Center ceiling, expecting confetti to fall to celebrate Hillary Clinton becoming the nation´s first woman president. But the confetti never fell. Crushed by Clinton’s loss to President Donald Trump, Burson began an almost two-week journey to track down the confetti, which she thought would make great material for artwork. She used the confetti to turn a window at Bruno David Gallery in Clayton into a massive snow globe titled “And Still I Rise.” Her purpose? To flip Clinton’s defeat into inspiration for women and girls.
