After State Department Snub, Senators
Look to ‘Other Means’ to Investigate
Tax Dollars Propping Up Soros Work

Daily Signal, by Fred Lucas

Republican senators could investigate U.S. tax dollars funding liberal billionaire George Soros’ networks abroad “through other means” if the Trump administration’s State Department doesn’t provide answers. Six GOP senators wrote Secretary of State Rex Tillerson in March to ask for a State Department probe into how the federal grants are being used by Soros-funded Open Society Foundations, specifically in Macedonia and Albania, to promote progressive causes and undermine conservative and moderate political leaders in those countries. The State Department Bureau of Legislative Affairs responded not by addressing the question of a probe, but defending the U.S. Agency for International Development, or

Comments:
This is disturbing. Maybe it´s just because there are too many holdovers in the State Department. I don´t want to think about other possible reasons the department won´t investigate Soros´s trying to bring down the democratically elected government of Macedonia.

Why George Soros is still walking around free and causing so much havoc here and in the world is a travesty of justice. If I were dealing with the State dept on this, I would simply tell them: ´We can do this the easy way, or the hard way. But one way or another, we will have answers.´ Thank you Judicial Watch and Sen Mike Lee for all you´re doing to bring this criminal to justice.

Look to John McCain.
How much did his McCain Institute get from Soros to do Macedonia´s bidding?
Remember when he called Sen. Paul a Russian spy because he shut him down?

"In thirty years of experience with the United Nations, I never heard a braver or clearer speech," Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Tuesday regarding US President Donald Trump's maiden speech at the United Nations General Assembly.
According to The New York Times, the person who wrote the speech is Stephen Miller, a Jew. The first part of Trump's speech discussed the UN's founding, immediately following the Second World War. At the time, Trump told the Assembly, the US helped Europe overcome the war's devastation by creating and implementing the "Marshall Plan,"

LoOS ANGELES – Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa al Khalifa has denounced the Arab boycott of Israel and said his subjects are free to visit the Jewish state. The statement by the head of the Persian Gulf country, which does not have diplomatic relations with Israel, was revealed at a multi-national event last week in Los Angeles, hosted by the city´s Simon Wiesenthal Center. As some of you know, on yesterday´s Clubland Q&A I discussed why, for the first time since we launched SteynOnline in 2002, we did not re-post material from September 11th 2001 and the days that followed. As I put it: If this is a war, there´s no agreement on what we´re up against: Terrorism? Islamic terrorism? Islamic extremism? Islam? Whatever it is, a president who, on the campaign trail, mocked his predecessor´s inability to use the words "radical Islam" himself eschewed all mention of the I-word today. September 11th 2001 was supposedly "the day everything changed" - if by "everything changed"

I paid no attention to the fact that Hollywood was producing a biopic of Ted Kennedy’s famous “accident” at Chappaquiddick in 1969, and would have assumed that it was a typical gauzy pro-Kennedy puff piece if I had known. But Variety magazine, the main trade journal of Hollywood, offers a review that not only says that the forthcoming movie Chappaquiddick is suitably harsh on Teddy, but that he—and the Kennedy reputation—deserve it: The film says that what happened at Chappaquiddick was even worse than we think. Kopechne’s body was found in a position that implied that she was struggling to keep

It’s tempting to mock Richard Florida: the hipster urbanist with the hipster name, the new day’s heir to yesterday’s Jane Jacobs. In 2002, he wrote a book that just everyone with an ounce of hipness bought and read—a book about how hipsters were saving the nation’s cities. And now, 15 years older and not quite as hip anymore, he’s written a follow-up that says, in essence, whoops. But the temptation to mock Florida for his change of heart should be resisted. Over the past decade, his writing has shown a growing worry about the condition of urban America, a growing unease

The images refer to the largest grocer in the state, H-E-B, with about 350 stores scattered throughout Texas and Mexico. At a time when retail watchers question the future of brick-and-mortar stores due to Amazon´s continued ascendance, the 112-year-old retailer is drawing widespread praise after managing to open 60 of its 83

The Pope is not an oracle, and it’s not Catholic to view him as such. Sometimes I think Pope Francis is a gift to the Catholic Church, especially when he says something silly, clumsy, or even stupid. He allows serious Catholics to take the papal cult less seriously than they have been doing for generations. Overall, that’s a good thing. It began almost gently, as a matter of style, with the way Pope Francis offered pungent insults in his homilies and interviews. He called out archetypes. He slammed what he called “airport bishops.” He characterized Christians who complain too much
