Prisoners´ family: Trump ´personally´

Washington Examiner, by Anna Giaritelli

An American woman and her Egyptian husband who had been imprisoned by the Egyptian government for three years arrived at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland late Thursday and will visit President Trump at the White House on Friday. Aya Hijazi and Mohamed Hassanein were among the group of six aid workers who were locked up in 2014 over allegations of child abuse and trafficking charges. After years of failed negotiations by the Obama administration, a family member of the couple credited Trump with "personally" stepping in to free him and his wife, as well as the four others. My guess is that the msm will give obama the credit rather than blaming him for supporting the muslim brotherhood in Egypt who imprisoned them.

At the risk of feeding the troll, Aya Hijazi is a natural born American citizen of legal immigrant parents. Her lawful husband by extention deserves respect.

Trump won´t tout his wins, so those that benefit will have to do it for him. Here is a man that knows how to be a President. It is a hard job to bring the USA back from years of attempted ruin by former Presidents. MAGA.

Attorneys for Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl want to ask potential jurors in a court-martial for their views on President Trump and whether they voted for him, according to news reports Wednesday. At a pretrial hearing Wednesday, Berdahl´s lawyers submitted the questions to the judge in the case, out of concern that jurors may be swayed by negative comments Trump made in the presidential campaign about the soldier. "The principal issue has to do with ensuring we are able to identify people who have been nominated to be on the court-martial panel — the jury — who are not in a

They have gone 0-4 in the last special elections, and they keep blaming the wrong people and coming up with the wrong reasons for their losses. Here are ten reasons why they keep losing. 1. They have broken the federal budget. We´re still $19.8 trillion in debt, and this makes people nervous. We have to be patient for the GOP to fix the problem. The Dems don´t even seem to believe that there is a problem. 2. They keep promoting the multiplier effect. That is, if the government gets bigger and bigger and keeps spending money, then the economy will

In the late 1700s, the newly independent republic of the United States was continually beset by piracy at sea from four Muslim Barbary Coast states: Algiers, Tunis, Tripoli, and Morocco. The U.S., with limited military resources and staggering debts from the War for Independence, sought to establish secure routes for international commerce to spur rapid economic growth needed to build the emerging country. Yet the U.S. faced constant Ottoman attacks on its merchant ships. American and European ships venturing into the region routinely faced capture of crewmembers, who risked being held as slaves until hefty ransoms were paid. The persistent

The Senate health care bill, being drafted by Republicans behind closed doors, finally came to light. The Washington Post got a draft of the legislation Wednesday afternoon, which was being passed among lobbyists and aides. The bill would repeal most of the taxes that pay for Obamacare, roll back expanded Medicaid coverage under the Affordable Care Act, reshape its subsidies, give states wider latitude to opt out of its regulations and eliminate federal funding for Planned Parenthood. Michael Crowley reports in Politico Magazine that Professor Graham Allison of the Harvard Kennedy School met with Trump’s National Security Council staffers last month to discuss the “Thucydides Trap” – a term he coined to explain how the fear of an emerging power can spark conflict with an established power. In Thucydides’ telling, “What made war inevitable was the growth of Athenian power and the fear which this caused in Sparta.” According

Democrats pulled out all stops in their effort to show that the #Resistance isn’t just about marches and slogans and insulting the president, but also about flipping the House in 2018. They cast the race as a referendum on Donald Trump, and a bellwether for 2018. Republicans will be elated with the outcome, and hopeful

Republican Karen Handel has defeated her upstart Democratic challenger in a Georgia runoff election. Handel, an experienced politician and former Secretary of State for Georgia, emerged on Tuesday night with a narrow win over 30-year-old Jon Ossoff. Incomplete returns show she is on track to receive about 53 per cent of the vote. Her narrow victory in Georgia´s 6th Congressional District allows Republicans a sigh of relief after the hotly-contested race, which is considered the most expensive in US House history. The special election was considered one of the first tests for Donald Trump´s controversial presidency, with voters given a chance to put another

Jon Ossoff was on a trajectory to defeat Karen Handel narrowly, poised to deliver a humiliating blow to the White House in a race billed as a referendum of Donald Trump’s early months in office. Then the Republican voters in Georgia’s 6th Congressional District unexpectedly showed up in droves. Pollsters say sky-high turnout drove Handel, the GOP nominee, to a nearly 4-point victory on Tuesday, despite most pre-election surveys showing Ossoff with a small-but-shrinking lead. Mathematically, a 4-point loss for a Democratic House candidate in a district that has traditionally elected Republicans by wide margins is an encouraging result for
