Last October, Harry Reid, the ruthlessly partisan former senator from Nevada, wrote a nasty and bumptious letter to FBI director James Comey. The letter remains a significant piece of evidence in Obamagate, as it confirms his role as conduit for Obama administration’s political espionage against Trump. “In my communications with you and other top officials in the national security community, it has become clear that you possess explosive information about close ties and coordination between Donald Trump, his top advisors, and the Russian government,” he wrote. “The public has a right to know this information. I wrote to you months ago
If an operation is sleazy, illegal, and poorly managed all at the same time, then there is a good chance that Harry Reid is involved. He would be a far more sinister character if he had the brains to keep his mouth shut but, luckily for us, he is a shallow, self-approving martinet with a taste for publicity. America has been blessed throughout its history with villains who are not very smart. My favorite image of Harry Reid is of him getting smacked around in his own bathroom by rubber exercise bands. That does not form the picture of a man capable of bringing our great country low.
Dirty Harry Reid -- who makes his successor, the steaming, stinking, slippery pile of schumer, look like Mother THeresa and smell like roses -- was always very careful to plant himself squarely under the protection of the Constitution´s "Privileges and Immunities" clause, and is thus likely to escape prosecution -- and perhaps even from testifying -- on his role in this horrendous political crime. But it is also quite certain that eternity is going to be a real hillaryclinton for Dirty Harry. His brother should have killed him instead of merely maiming him -- and better yet, Harry Reid´s mother should have aborted him, saving the world one less demon.
Ooops -- before the morning coffee kicked in, I cited the wrong Constitutional umbrella Harry Reid always hid behind: it was the Speech and Debate Clause. Let me say a word that never passed Harry´s vile lips: Sorry!
The unrelenting destructive efforts of the Left bring to mind some words of wisdom from an article on Wisdom in an exceptional study Bible: “The righteous, who are wise, walk in the way of life as God created it. The wicked, who are foolish, walk in the way of death, which is contrary to God’s created order.”
The more and more that I read about what has been going on in our government and what is still happening, I´m coming to the decision that this country needs to have itself another revolution. I firmly believe that that is the only way that we can rid our government from the corruption that is our federal government. With a revolution, we can get rid of the entire government, make necessary changes in the Constitution, and start the government over again. And we can have President Trump lead the way. And even at my age (72) I will be among the first to join up.
Unfortunately the spoilers have tried over and over to get a Constitutional convention so they could destroy or nullify the bill of rights and even the governing style. One of the first was Hamilton who wanted to form the English style complete with Lords and an enduring Royalty. He of course was to be elevated and that was the real cause of the duel. He considered Burr his only block and with him gone all was set up.
Eric C. Conn, the convicted ringleader of the biggest Social Security disability fraud in history, was supposed to be sentenced Friday. Instead, he’s on the run, and the two whistleblowers who helped expose his scam say they fear for their safety. Conn cut his ankle bracelet in early June and has evaded the FBI ever since, including seemingly taunting agents in repeated missives to newspapers and TV stations in Kentucky and West Virginia, as well as The Washington Times. A man purporting to be Conn said in the messages that he’s escaped the country, leaving behind a legal mess, hundreds of people
265 + 742 + 765 + 953 + 7,474 = 0. This fuzzy math sums up Democrats’ orthodoxy on vote fraud: As the bulletproof evidence of fraud adds up, they still claim, “There’s nothing to see here.” Not even these hard numbers, based on verified vote-fraud cases, move their acceptance of this reality into the realm of positive integers. This pathological denial is even more intense, now that President Trump has taken vote fraud seriously enough to appoint a bipartisan panel to get to the bottom of it. While the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity is chaired by Republicans Vice President
There’s no way this isn’t a shot at Hillary, right? A communicator as savvy as Bill can’t be oblivious to the fact that he’s stating the single most widely shared criticism of his wife’s candidacy here, that it had no message beyond “Trump is unfit” and “It’s her turn.” In fact, early on Team Hillary reportedly considered “It’s her turn” as a rallying cry for the campaign because “The candidate herself could not articulate vision for why she wanted to be president in calls and internal meetings with her staff.” Imagine that. At a moment when the country was retching
Republicans are not in the position to lose votes if they hope to repeal ObamaCare, so pressure is being placed on senators like Sen. Dean Heller, R- Nev., to declare allegiance on the newly crafted bill. If Heller supports the bill, he would likely be parting ways with Nevada´s popular GOP Gov. Brian Sandoval in a state that did not support President Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election. But if he opposes the bill, conservative groups will likely come after them like they did earlier this year after he opposed the GOP´s initial health care bill. And Democrats plan to target
It’s been a rough week for the White House, so reportedly — yet again — Reince Priebus might get fired. Surely, no high-level government official in American history has been on the verge of ouster so early and so often. Being the subject of shake-up rumors is practically Reince Priebus job description. If he’d been fired every time the possibility had been raised in the press, he’d be the Billy Martin — the legendary oft-fired and re-hired Yankees manager — of the Trump administration. Priebus isn’t the only one. You don’t truly qualify as part of the Trump team unless the president
Former Vice President Al Gore compared the fight to end man-made global warming to the abolishment of slavery and the push for gay marriage. “The abolition of slavery, woman’s suffrage … and more recently the gay rights movement,” Gore said Thursday about the importance of staying ahead of the curve on environmental issues. The mission to reduce the Earth’s temperature is on par with other “great moral causes” that have improved humanity, he told an audience at the EcoCity World Summit in Australia. Gore has made similar comments in the past. He told reporters in 2013 that so-called climate change “deniers” are like
I have a confession to make: I’m a hater lurking at a convention of haters. Our thoughtcrimes are clear and inexcusable. I’m at a meeting of Christians who believe the Bible is true, who believe that mankind is fallen and in need of a Savior, and who believe that we should live according to certain moral rules — including rules that govern sexual conduct. We believe that we should have the basic liberty to live according to that faith, and we also believe that other human beings should be able to live according to the different dictates of their consciences,
Sometimes when you’re working late defending the president of the United States in a federal investigation into whether he colluded with the Kremlin, you need to take a break to threaten a total stranger who wrote you a snotty but polite email. With any other public servant, this would be cause for immediate firing. With Trump, it probably puts Kasowitz next in line to replace Jeff Sessions as Attorney General. The man, a retired public relations professional in the western United States who asked not to be identified, read ProPublica’s story this week on Kasowitz and sent the lawyer an
Three Palestinians opened fire on Israelis Friday near an important Jerusalem holy site-- known to Jews as Temple Mount-- wounding two seriously before the attackers were killed in a gunfight, Israeli police said. The attack occurred near a gate of Jerusalem´s Old City and the shooters then fled toward a mosque at the nearby holy site, Luba Samri, a police spokeswoman said. Police gave chase and they were shot dead at the compound. The attackers were armed with 2 Carl Gustav machine guns and a pistol. The city is on lockdown. Cellphone video showed several police officers giving chase to
Every 90 days, the State Department must certify whether Iran is complying with the nuclear deal that former President Barack Obama struck with the Tehran tyranny in 2015. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is approaching one of these 90-day deadlines. Instead of rubber-stamping re-certification, as his predecessor John Kerry did regardless of Iran´s behavior, Tillerson should finally do something the U.S. government hasn´t been doing for years. He should tell the truth about Iran´s flagrant noncompliance with the deal, thus opening the way for Congress to impose sanctions against the rogue regime. This is what four Republican senators — Tom Cotton, R-Ark.,
Imagine it is D-Day, June 6, 1944, and you are a young private. You are hitting Utah Beach in the very first wave, into the teeth of the German army, against a rainfall of enemy gunfire, artillery shrapnel and gore. You are filled with fear. And there on the beach in front of you, stands an old man. An American brigadier general—bull frog-voiced, pop-eyed, 5-foot-8 inches tall, and directing traffic with his cane. Calm as a man can be in combat, he is Ted Roosevelt Jr., the son of the famous president and the only general on the beach. At
A Seattle, Wash., councilman implied that a new effort to clean excrement off the side walk outside the local courthouse could be racist Tuesday. The crime and smell of urine and excrement have gotten so bad outside a King County courthouse that two judges are scrambling to find ways to fix the situation, reports the Seattle Times. Seattle councilmember Larry Gossett isn’t a fan of one solution to power wash the feces from the sidewalks to tamp down on the smell. Power washing the sidewalks is too reminiscent of civil rights activists being hosed down, he said. The area around the courthouse is
The Minnesota cop who shot and killed an Australian bride-to-be opened fire on her after being startled by a “loud sound” near his patrol car, investigators say. Officer Mohamed Noor, 31, began blasting at 40-year-old Justine Damond, of Minneapolis, just moments after he and his partner, Matthew Harrity, heard the noise in the alley behind her house, according to the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. The agency provided an update Tuesday on their investigation into the Saturday night shooting. Officers Noor and Harrity had been called to Damond’s home after she called 911 to report a possible sexual assault happening
WASHINGTON — President Trump said on Wednesday that he never would have appointed Attorney General Jeff Sessions had he known Mr. Sessions would recuse himself from overseeing the Russia investigation that has dogged his presidency, calling the decision “very unfair to the president.” In a remarkable public break with one of his earliest political supporters, Mr. Trump complained that Mr. Sessions’s decision ultimately led to the appointment of a special counsel that should not have happened. “Sessions should have never recused himself, and if he was going to recuse himself, he should have told me before he took the job and
Heading to church one evening in late March, a farmworker and her sister were stopped for speeding in the village of Geneseo, N.Y. They were driving with their five children in the back of the minivan. Two were not in car seats, as required. The police officer, trying to cite the driver for the infractions, discovered she had no driver’s license, so he called Border Patrol to review her Guatemalan passport. Both sisters were undocumented immigrants. They were detained and are facing deportation. Under a Trump administration that has taken an aggressive stance on illegal immigration, the moving car has
President Trump sat down with Russian President Vladimir Putin for a second discussion at the G-20 summit in Germany this month — a talk the White House never disclosed, according to reports. The talk came hours after their two-hour bilateral meeting on July 7, towards the end of a “couples-only social dinner” at the summit, National Security Council spokesman Michael Anton told CNN. Trump and Putin conversed in the room where the dinner was being held. “No staff or Cabinet were at the dinner at all, for any of the countries,” Anton said, adding that translators were present. The White
Target Corp. Chief Executive Officer Brian Cornell is sounding alarm bells over the state of Hispanic shoppers in the U.S. -- a key growth demographic for many retailers and consumer brands. “The Hispanic consumer in the U.S. is shopping much less,” Cornell said at the Fortune Brainstorm Tech event Tuesday in Aspen, Colorado. “They are staying home. They are going out less often.” Cornell didn’t mention President Donald Trump by name, but he talked about a shift in behavior this year and mentioned “border towns” -- where retailers for years have depended on shoppers from northern Mexico for higher revenue.
Health Reform: There were lots of celebrations on the left side of the aisle after the Senate GOP bill to repeal and replace ObamaCare died. The good times will be short lived, because one way or another ObamaCare is going away, and it´s not at all clear that Democrats will gain additional leverage over what comes next by waiting for its collapse. It was amusing to hear Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer say, after the Senate bill failed, that Republicans should "work with Democrats on a bill that lowers premiums, provides long-term stability to the markets and improves our health care
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) has been diagnosed with brain cancer, the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix said Wednesday. The tumor was discovered after the senior Arizona senator underwent a minor procedure last week to remove a blood clot from above his left eye. "Subsequent tissue pathology revealed that a primary brain tumor known as a glioblastoma was associated with the blood clot," the hospital said in a statement. “The Senator and his family are reviewing further treatment options with his Mayo Clinic care team. Treatment options may include a combination of chemotherapy and radiation."
Arizona Senator John McCain has been diagnosed with brain cancer. The 80-year-old veteran politician was given the diagnosis last week after he had a blood clot removed. In a statement late Wednesday, doctors reveal that McCain has been diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive cancer. The statement says the 80-year-old senator and his family are reviewing further treatment, including a combination of chemotherapy and radiation. The senator has been recovering at his Arizona home after doctors at the Mayo Clinic removed a blood clot above his left eye. The former presidential candidate, who has represented Arizona since 1987, went for his annual checkup, complaining of fatigue
Dunkirk is a great movie but there aren’t enough ‘women’ or ‘people of color’ in it, according to a review in USA Today. The movie – with a cast including Mark Rylance, Kenneth Branagh, and former One Direction singer Harry Styles – has been given a slew of five-star reviews for its vivid, nailbiting depiction of the evacuation of the British Expeditionary Force from Dunkirk in 1940. But though USA Today’s reviewer praised it too, he couldn’t resist giving it a little rap on the knuckles about its shameful lack of diversity and equality: The trio of timelines can be jarring as you
The Somali-born Minnesota police officer alleged to have shot and killed an unarmed Australian woman on Saturday had been lauded by Minneapolis’ mayor and feted by the local community when he joined the force in 2015. “I want to take a moment to recognize Officer Mohamed Noor, the newest Somali officer in the Minneapolis Police Department,” Mayor Betsy Hodges wrote in a Facebook post when Noor began serving the city. “Officer Noor has been assigned to the 5th Precinct, where his arrival has been highly celebrated, particularly by the Somali community in and around Karmel Mall.” In fact, The Washington
Donald Trump Jr. is reportedly "miserable" and can´t wait for the next four years to end. A friend of President Trump´s sons told People that Trump Jr. and Eric Trump "never wanted this." “Don can’t do any deals, because he’ll be overly scrutinized. He just goes to work every day and is miserable," a source in their circle added. Trump Jr. is facing backlash after news surfaced earlier this month that he took a meeting last year with a Russian lawyer. Last week, Trump Jr. released a chain of emails detailing his conversations about setting up the meeting with the Russian
The Wall Street Journal unloaded on President Donald Trump late Monday night, lambasting the president for being mired in an investigation into Russian involvement in his campaign and for continually hiding damaging details that inevitably are leaked. Following a weekend when Trump’s attorney attempted to put out the fire – and failed spectacularly — the Journal editorial board finally had enough. Under the heading “The Trumps and the Truth,” they wrote, “Even Donald Trump might agree that a major reason he won the 2016 election is because voters couldn’t abide Hillary Clinton’s legacy of scandal, deception and stonewalling. Yet on
