In a major victory in the ongoing Lois Lerner scandal at the IRS, non-profit election integrity organization True the Vote defeated an IRS motion to quash discovery in True the Vote v. IRS. The ruling means that everyone involved in the scandal could be compelled to submit every document related to the case and be deposed by True the Vote´s legal team. From their press release: Judge Reggie Walton of U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia just issued a critical order in True the Vote v. IRS case. The order compels the IRS to submit to discovery and
Case will surely be appealed by what can only be called the Obama/Trump IRS to the full appeals court for review. This D.C. Appeals court is stuffed with Obama appointees. If either side loses at this level, it´s onto the Supreme Court in 10/18. The Supremes then have to decide whether to grant a review, which would occur in 2019. This time frame means that the IRS, which has already admitted to erasing 47 of Lois Lerner´s back up email files, will find and erase all other incriminating records. Only taxpayers have to keep records under penalty of law.
Sadly, Trump´s IRS is part of this obstruction, meaning that this particular swamp wiil not be drained and Lois Lerner and the people who aided and abetted her Tea Party obstruction will never be brought to justice. I hope that I am wrong.
Here is my far left looking solution, written by a conservative, who is almost libertarian. The U.S. needs to create NATIONAL ID CARDS WITH THE PERSON´S DNA EMBEDDED. At the same tine, we need a flat income tax, with no deductions. The national ID card would serve as voter registration/voter ID. If we did that, we would turn the IRS into a book keeping operation, of tiny size, compared to today, We would eliminate voter fraud, depoliticize the IRS, and have a DNA base to check when certain crimes are committed. Illegal immigrants would also be cut down. If my Giant Eagle grocery store can issue a card that works, so can the federal government. I know this sounds ´big brother´ but...
Late night host Jimmy Kimmel slammed Fox News co-host Brian Kilmeade and other Republicans on Wednesday night for their criticism of his commentary on the Graham-Cassidy Obamacare repeal bill. Kimmel, whose son was born with a congenital heart disease, has been an outspoken critic of the Republican efforts to repeal Obamacare, and most recently, of the bill proposed by Sens. Lindsey Graham (R., S.C.) and Bill Cassidy (R., L.A.) because he believes it doesn´t protect people with pre-existing conditions like his son. The late night host took Cassidy to task during his show Tuesday night for what he said is
President Trump received glowing praise Thursday from Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani for the new war strategy, which was credited for turning around the 16-year war against Taliban militants and other radical Islamic terrorists. “It is a difference of day and night,” Mr. Ghani said at a meeting with Mr. Trump. “The cloud of uncertainty has been lifted, but equally important is your commitment to a political solution at the end of this process.” Mr. Trump announced the new strategy a month ago. It included setting long-term goals for the war effort, sending more U.S. troops to train and assist the Afghan military and

Former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power attempted to "unmask" more than 260 Americans´ identities during 2016, even during the final days of the Obama administration. Power is scheduled to testify on Capitol Hill in October, one of several Obama administration officials slated to do so, for her actions regarding revealing Trump associates´ identities in intelligence reports, according to Fox News. House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., submitted a letter in July to Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats that said the committee was aware "that one official,
Philadelphia found hundreds of non-citizens who were registered to vote; many went on to cast ballots. But the Democrats say that voter fraud is just a myth… The Washington Times reported: City Commissioner Al Schmidt said Wednesday the voters are all self-admitted non-citizens who went back and canceled their registrations later — but not before casting illegal ballots a total of 227 times in elections spanning 2006 to 2007. Most of those non-citizens signed up to vote at PennDOT, the state motor vehicles bureau, when they went to get a driver’s license. While legal residents and long-term visitors are allowed
Hillary Clinton got a little taste of what life would had been like had she won the election, in the form of a very entertaining gift from The Late Show host Stephen Colbert during an appearance on his show. The former Democratic presidential nominee, 69, was handed a top secret packet of papers by the talk show host - the contents of which were the entire list of jokes and skits he and his producers had planned to use had Hillary won the election, including a very NSFW take on her campaign slogan, ´I´m with her´. Colbert, 53, sobered his
Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper suggested on Wednesday that "it´s possible" that President Trump´s voice was picked up in a wiretap as he spoke with his former campaign manager Paul Manafort. "It´s certainly conceivable," Clapper said on CNN. When asked by host Don Lemon if it was likely, Clapper said he couldn´t say, but again asserted that there is a chance. "I wouldn´t want to go there, but I will say it´s possible," Clapper said. (Video) A CNN report earlier in the week said that Manafort had been wiretapped under a FISA warrant over suspicions that Manafort had encouraged some
Jews across America welcome Rosh Hashanah this week, the Jewish New Year, and receive greetings from our president. You might assume that the annual presidential greetings are meaningless boilerplate, but they are actually quite revealing of the presidents´ feelings toward Jews and Israel – and toward the Muslim threat to America. Here is President Trump, whom the Democrat media would have us believe is a new Hitler: I am proud to stand with the Jewish people and with our cherished friend and ally, the State of Israel. The Jewish State is a symbol of resilience in the face of oppression
President Trump said he´s looking at "maybe, ultimately, peace in the whole of the Middle East" before a bilateral meeting today with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly. Trump called it a "great honor" to meet with Abbas and his team, "who have been working very hard with everybody involved toward peace." "I think we have a pretty good shot -- maybe the best shot ever -- and that´s what we´re looking to do," he said. "And I just want to thank you for all of the time, all of the meetings,
Former national security advisor Susan Rice didn’t mince words Wednesday when criticizing President Donald Trump’s speech at the United Nations. Rice, who served under former President Barack Obama, was especially unhappy with Trump’s insistence that the Iran Deal is a “one-sided deal” and “an embarrassment” to the United States. “We could begin a process of dialogue on what comes next after the deal,” Rice said. “But we can’t do that when hurling threats, when threatening to walk out, when acting like a spoiled child at the dinner table.” “So opening that relationship, having that dialogue, working with those on our
Fox News’ Lou Dobbs went off on the corrupt federal government as he spoke with president of Judicial Watch Tom Fitton on Wednesday night about the Mueller investigation. (Photo) Lou Dobbs began by discussing the cozy relationship between Special Counsel Robert Mueller and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, asking, “What is going on here?” Fitton answered by saying, “Mueller is investigating himself in my view. The firing of Comey led to his appointment. Comey’s leaking of information led to his appointment and Sessions recused himself almost immediately…” Fitton called Mueller an unelected bureaucrat who doesn’t answer to the American people.
U2 frontman Bono unloaded on President Donald Trump in a Rolling Stone interview published Wednesday, revealing that his Irish rock band’s new album will take on the “bully on the bully pulpit” because “silence is not an option.” In January, U2 founding guitarist The Edge revealed that “Songs of Experience,” the band’s follow-up to its platinum-selling 2014 album “Songs of Innocence,” was delayed because of Trump’s election. Now Bono says “there’s a couple of reasons why we delayed Songs of Experience. One personal, one political.” “The world around us was certainly changing out of all recognition, we nearly lost the
Hillary Clinton compared herself to Revolutionary War hero Paul Revere on Tuesday, saying that she is “Paula Revere” sounding the alarm on Russian active measures during the 2016 presidential campaign. (Snip) In her interview, Clinton suggested that she has led the push to call out the Russian government and Russian president Vladimir Putin about their involvement in the U.S. election. “I am saying as clearly as I can — I feel like I’m a bit of a, you know, Paula Revere — I’m trying to sound the alarm about this,” Clinton said to a smattering of laughter and applause. Clinton’s
If you had plans for the weekend, a Christian numerologist says you won’t get to them because the world is about to end. David Meade, a self-proclaimed “researcher,” is predicting that a series of apocalyptic events will begin on Sept. 23 and, “a major part of the world will not be the same.” According to Meade, the mysterious rogue planet Nibiru, also known as Planet X, is on a collision course with Earth, which will bring world-ending tsunamis and earthquakes. The numerologist claims the dates of recent events like the Great American Solar Eclipse and Hurricane Harvey’s flooding of Texas were all marked in the Bible.
Special Counsel Robert Mueller´s team is reaching back more than a decade in its investigation of Paul Manafort, a sign of the pressure Mueller is placing on President Donald Trump´s former campaign chairman. The FBI´s warrant for a July search of Manafort´s Alexandria, Virginia, home said the investigation centered on possible crimes committed as far back as January 2006, according to a source briefed on the investigation. The broad time frame is the latest indication that Mueller´s team is going well beyond Russian meddling during the campaign as part of its investigation of Trump campaign associates. Manafort,
Hillary Clinton´s "What Happened" had a big debut. Clinton´s book about her stunning loss in 2016 to Donald Trump sold more than 300,000 copies in the combined formats of hardcover, e-book and audio, Simon & Schuster told The Associated Press on Wednesday. The book´s hardcover sales of 168,000 was the highest opening for any nonfiction release in five years, according to NPD BookScan, which tracks around 85 percent of retail print sales. Mark Owen´s "No Easy Day," a 2012 memoir about the killing of Osama bin Laden, sold more than 250,000 copies in its first week. Sales for "What Happened"
Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports,” while reacting to President Donald Trump’s speech at United Nations, former White House press secretary for the Obama administration Josh Earnest said the overall speech lacked “coherence,” and Trump mocking North Korea’s leader Kim Jong-un was “foolish.” Earnest said, “Having sat in the hall of the United Nations where the president of the United States delivers an address for gathered world leaders — that’s something I did for the last three years—what you know world leaders are looking for in that room is a coherent strategy for taking on the biggest challenges around the
United Nations - The Latest on President Donald Trump and North Korea (all times local): 8:00 a.m. Former Secretary of State John Kerry says President Donald Trump´s United Nations speech may have put America in isolation and danger. Appearing on MSNBC´s "Morning Joe" show Wednesday, Kerry criticized Trump´s harsh rhetoric against North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. Kerry said, "You have to ask yourself: Is America safer because of ´rocket man?" He was referring to Trump´s characterization of Kim. Kerry said that kind of harsh language will make it harder for the United States to engage in diplomacy on
In Federalist No. 68, his pseudonymous essay on “The Mode of Electing the President,” Alexander Hamilton wrote that the Electoral College could shield the United States “from the desire in foreign powers to gain an improper ascendant in our councils.” (Snip) Hamilton and his colleagues never could have envisioned a year like 2016, when an enemy state—Russia—was able to manipulate America’s election process with stunning effectiveness. But it’s clear the national security rationale for the Electoral College is outdated and therefore it should be retired. Simply put, it enables foreign powers to more easily pierce the very shield Hamilton imagined
Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown of California compared President Donald Trump supporters to prehistoric cave dwellers Monday during a New York climate event. Brown, an outspoken Trump critic, issued an usually harsh derision of Trump supporters after dismissing the president’s rhetoric on climate change science and U.S. policy toward North Korea as “stupid and dangerous and silly.” “They’re both kind of very similar,” Brown said. “You should check out the derivation of ‘Trump-ite’ and ‘troglodyte,’ because they both refer to people who dwell in deep, dark caves.” Brown attended the climate event, which coincided with the U.N. meeting in New York,
Filmmaker James O´Keefe said on Monday that Project Veritas will be releasing the results of one of the largest investigations the organization has ever conducted. The Project, said O´Keefe, will lead to people being fired. "In the coming weeks, you’re going see one of the biggest investigations this organization has ever done," O’Keefe said. "It’s a continuation of American Pravda series. It’s aimed at the media. We’re going after their holy grail." "We have tripled our journalists in the field," he continued. "They are not even here, they are out there everyday. It’s gonna be big, it’s gonna be massive.
Armed FBI agenst with guns drawn busted into Paul Manafort’s home as Manafort and his wife lay in bed. The FBI agents insisted on searching Kathleen Manafort for weapons — after they barged into her home. This is Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ FBI. Sessions needs to go now. (Tweet) The New York Post reported: Gun-wielding FBI agents busted into Paul Manafort’s home as he was asleep in bed and even searched his wife for weapons, it was revealed Tuesday. Agents took an unusually tough approach in executing a search warrant, dealing with potential financial crimes by President Trump’s former campaign chief,
Over the years, a curious habit has taken hold at the United Nations. A body designed to strengthen the best of humanity has too often become a font of doublespeak and appeasement that protects the worst of humanity. That tragic comity was shattered when President Trump played the skunk at the garden party and dared to tell the truth. Many truths, in fact. Among them, that Islamic terrorism is a scourge that must be stopped. That Iran is controlled by a “murderous regime” bent on getting nukes. That North Korea’s “Rocket man is on a suicide mission” and the United States “will have
MSNBC’s Brian Williams, McClatchy reporter Anita Kumar, former CIA chief of staff Jeremy Bash, and The Wall Street Journal’s White House correspondent, Eli Stokols, all apparently think the words “sovereign” and “sovereignty” are some kind of racist, isolationist dog whistles. (Snip) Williams attempted to tie the idea of national sovereignty to racism. "Anita, back to this use of the word 'sovereign,' and 'sovereignty.' Did you hear a buzz word or dog whistle in his repeated use of that word?" Williams asked Kumar. "We knew he was going to talk a little bit about that because they had given us a little bit of a preview ...
