President Obama’s former photographer posted a photo response to former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) and musicians Ted Nugent and Kid Rock mocking a portrait of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during a White House visit on Thursday. Pete Souza´s photo, posted to Instagram, shows Obama sitting with his White House chief of staff Bill Daley beneath a portrait of former President Ronald Reagan. Palin and Nugent can be seen in their Thursday photo standing beside Clinton’s official first lady portrait while making exaggerated gestures as Kid Rock stands with his arms folded. I took my kids on a White House tour just after that portrait was installed early in the Bush administration. It´s at the start of the tour just as one enters the White House so its one of the first things a visitor sees. What I thought was so funny is that it´s opposite the display of the china from past presidents. She will forever look at it longingly.

...I realize that the Daily Mail refers to it as "mocking", but I think everyone from the left is just winding themselves up a bit too tight...

...Kid Rock has his arms crossed, Nugent is holding his jacket lapel and Palin doesn´t want her hand in front of Ted´s crotch...

...and I pulled out my magnifying glass and no, she isn´t even flipping Hillary...

...how long before it can be rotated OUT..?

The Souza “response” to the Palin-Nugent-Rock carrying the annotation “Being respectful” has no significance because it is comparing apples to oranges. The individuals in front of the Hillary Clinton portrait, as celebrities, do not command the “formality” expected of a President as displayed in front of the portrait of President Ronald Reagan.

I have never been all that Never-Sarah. I also have a sense of humor. But I doubt the President himself was very happy about these particular highjinx being published, so for me--the point goes to Souza.

This gang is a bit too Jacksonian for me and I would like the White House restored to dignity and respect. Maybe they should have designated times for horsing around in the Oval Office and White House (talking to you too, Ivanka) before which the participants would be frisked for cameras and smart phones.

WASHINGTON - The White House said on Sunday that U.S. President Donald Trump was open to signing legislation toughening sanctions on Russia after Senate and House leaders reached agreement on a bill late last week. Congressional Democrats said on Saturday they had agreed with Republicans on a deal allowing new sanctions targeting Russia, Iran and North Korea in a bill that would limit any potential effort by Trump to try to lift sanctions against Moscow. The Trump administration is readying for a crackdown on marijuana users under Attorney General Jeff Sessions. President Trump’s Task Force on Crime Reduction and Public Safety, led by Sessions, is expected to release a report next week that criminal justice reform advocates fear will link marijuana to violent crime and recommend tougher sentences for those caught growing, selling and smoking the plant. Sessions sent a memo in April updating the U.S. Attorney’s Offices and Department of Justice Department (DOJ) component heads on the work of the task force, which he said would be accomplished through various subcommittees. For weeks, observers were wondering when President Donald Trump would focus on pushing recalcitrant Republicans to back a Senate bill to repeal and possibly replace Obamacare — so that Trump and GOP lawmakers could keep faith with a key campaign pledge dear to the GOP base. Wednesday, Trump seized his bully pulpit. He invited all 52 Republican senators to the White House for a lunch at which he called out Sen. Dean Heller, R-Nev., in a way that left no doubt among other GOP Hamlets that if they voted against Trumpcare, it could cost them their jobs. More than that,

Scattered bits of reporting suggest that ministry has always been a secret dream of the two-time presidential candidate: Last fall, the former Newsweek editor Kenneth Woodward revealed that Clinton told him in 1994 that she thought “all the time” about becoming an ordained Methodist minister. She asked him not to write about it, though: “It will make me seem much too pious.” The incident perfectly captures
