Shortly after Neil M. Gorsuch was sworn in as America’s newest Supreme Court justice last week, he showed off his tender side: He hugged his wife, Louise, and then gently rested his head on her shoulder. Toward the end of his remarks that day, Gorsuch turned to his wife, who was behind him and said: “To my wife, Louise, and my daughters, Emma and Bindy, thank you for your perseverance d your patience, your courage and your love. I simply could not have attempted this without you.” Marie Louise Gorsuch was holding the family Bible at the ceremony and has

Love this: FTA....."“The wonderful thing about Louise,” Michael Trent, who has known Justice Gorsuch for 36 years and served as best man at his wedding, “is that she can be just as comfortable looking beautiful at the White House or in her wellies shoveling horse manure by the barn.”

Great people. It is about time the USA placed a real person on the court. The comment about Louise being comfortable in DC or the barn is great. It speaks volumes about who she is.

I suppose a story on Gorsuch´s wife is human interest, but she´s mostly irrelevant to his judicial responsiblities.

I agree with #5. There is only one question I would ask of any candidate for public office: "Will you obey the law?"

If the candidate cannot not honestly answer in the affirmative, he is disqualified.

Trump reveals why he’s avoiding

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump says he hasn’t returned to his New York City home because “going back is very expensive for the country.” Trump tells Fox News in an interview Friday that he feels “guilty” when he returns to Trump Tower because authorities close surrounding streets and “I hate to see the New Yorkers with streets closed.” He says he goes to his clubs instead because they have “hundreds of acres” and streets stay open. But Trump says he’s always accused of “having fun” or playing golf at his clubs; he says he’s always working. The White House rarely

As President Trump reaches his 100-day mark in office, an unfriendly news media has done much to undermine his efforts. Trump voters appear to be ignoring it all, says Ford O´Connell, a political strategist and an adjunct professor at the George Washington University Graduate School of Political Management. “Employing a blitzkrieg-style deluge of misleading headlines, both online and in print, coupled with a heavy diet of 89 percent negative broadcast network news coverage of Trump, the groupthink of the liberal media bubble has tried mightily to portray President Trump’s first 100 days in office as the worst political disaster of

Only a day before journalists are set to meet at their annual self-congratulatory dinner, a new poll finds that their intended customers, the American people, don’t trust them. Indeed, the poll finds Americans trust the Trump White House to tell the truth more than they do the media. The poll taken of 2,006 adults between April 23 and 26 is certainly bad news for the political media as 37 percent of respondents said they trust the Trump White House, while only 29 percent said they trust the media. Worse for the media, the day before their April 29 dinner, the

More evidence accumulates that higher education has drifted off into its own universe, utterly detached from common sense and the society and polity upon which it depends for survival. The strike is taking place in front of University President Peter Salovey’s home. "Yale wants to make us wait and wait and wait … until we give up and go away," the eight members of the

There goes the neighborhood. The neighborhood known as Martha’s Vineyard, I mean. The move of John Forbes Kerry from Nantucket — what a boon for ACK! One thing is certain. This summer, with Kerry gone, you’ll be hearing the eternal question asked a lot less often on Nantucket. “Do you know who I am?” But things will never be the same on Brant Point, once Kerry’s second wife’s first husband’s trust fund unloads the mansion on Hulbert Avenue. I checked yesterday — it’s still on the market, a steal at $25 million. Kerry’s new “cottage,” in Chilmark, went for $11.75

According to Jessica Gonzalez, spokeswoman for the Dept. of Motor Vehicles (DMV), illegal aliens in California have nothing to fear. She told the AP that although the department makes “databases available to law-enforcement entities,” that information would not include the legal status of driver’s license holders. In response to
