Adviser to Head of Iran’s Notorious Quds

Iraj Masjedi, a general in Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps, assumed his post as the new Iranian ambassador to Iraq on Wednesday. The appointment could be an ill omen of Iran’s influence in post-Islamic State Iraq. The Revolutionary Guards Corps is bad news, and Masjedi was involved in its worst element, the Quds Force – Iran’s dirty-tricks team of saboteurs and subversives, heavily involved in the killing of American troops in Iraq. Masjedi has been an adviser to Quds Force chief Qassem Soleimani, a military hero in Iran for his work in Iraq and Syria. Reuters sees Masjedi’s appointment as “a sign of

Oh joy. What wonderful news. NOT. The Middle East is a complete unmitigated disaster. The ones who should have been eliminated many years ago are those insane mullahs in Iran. Obama and his regime did NOTHING to help the people in Iran when they were practically begging for help. They have done nothing but cause murder and mayhem all over this world. It still stuns me that so many fools think that ´deal´ with Iran that Obama made was so wonderful. It was one of the worst things an American president has ever done.

Trump and his critics are attacking each other, failing to focus on the only story that counts: the welfare of the United States. The American political system has never quite seen anything like the current opposition to President Trump and his unusual reaction to it. We are no longer in the customary political landscape. Usually, the out-of-power opposition — in this case, the Democratic party — offers most of the criticism and all of the alternative policies in order to win in the next election. Instead, Trump has an entire circle of diverse critics shooting at him. But they just

On Wednesday night, I received a phone call from Anthony Scaramucci, the new White House communications director. He wasn’t happy. Earlier in the night, I’d tweeted, citing a “senior White House official,” that Scaramucci was having dinner at the White House with President Trump, the First Lady, Sean Hannity, and the former Fox News executive Bill Shine. It was an interesting group, and raised some questions. Was Trump getting strategic advice from Hannity? Was he considering hiring Shine? But Scaramucci had his own question—for me. “Who leaked that to you?” he asked. I said I couldn’t give him that information.

The Trump administration may soon learn that singling out a class of people for exclusion violates the constitutional guarantee of equal protection under the law. President Donald Trump has been attacking his attorney general, Jeff Sessions, daily. There have been brutal attacks on Twitter, in media interviews, and during speeches. Conventional wisdom is that Trump is getting ready to fire Sessions or hoping Sessions resigns. Conventional wisdom also assured everyone that Hillary Clinton would win in a landslide, the only question being by how large a margin. Trump´s complaint is that his attorney general should not have recused himself from the Russia hacking hoax and that he is dragging his feet on long overdue investigations and prosecutions: Deep State leaks; unmasking; DNC and Clinton collusion

What would you conclude if you voted for a candidate or a party because of a promise to repeal or change a law that you strongly felt was harmful and unjust, but once in office the party refused to do it? You might conclude, rightly, that those politicians didn’t really work for you, and the party didn’t care what you thought. That’s precisely the message Republicans have been sending their constituents throughout the Obamacare repeal fiasco. The failure of Senate Republicans to pass a so-called “skinny repeal” in the early hours of Friday is merely the latest instance of GOP
