What the heck are they doing there in the first place? Government Motors needs to bring the jobs back here. I believe GM has a plant or 2 in the US they can use.

The company says it will defend itself legally and that it´s confident that justice eventually will prevail.

Good luck with that. The factory belongs to "the people of Venezuela" now.

Its what Commies do. Steal other people´s property. Communist governments have a history of doing this. Everything, all private property, becomes ´government owned´. Anyone in the US that thinks Communism is a good idea needs to wise up. Communism is government run by thieves. GM should know better. Perhaps GM is run by a bunch of Globalist lefties who believe in ´leveling´ the playing field. It just cost them a bundle of money. As long as Venezuelan courts are run by Communists, GM cannot get its property back.

Early last week, a friend who is generally supportive of President Trump offered his view that the president had only one move remaining — firing special counsel Robert Mueller.By week’s end, my friend had a different view: The president is in a box without a clear escape hatch. “I’m not sure how he gets out of this,” he said wearily. Those conversations bookend the worst week of the Trump presidency, which ended with another shake-up. The Congressional Budget Office’s official “score” of the Senate GOP’s Better Care Reconciliation Act came out this afternoon, and it contained largely bad news for the bill’s sponsors — though with some significant opportunities for improvements before the bill actually hits the Senate floor. The big bad number most often cited in criticisms of the House-passed legislation did not get a lot better. The House’s American Health Care Act was expected to cost 23 million Americans health coverage by the end of ten years. CBO estimates that BCRA will lower than terrible number by just one million. After 52 hours of jury deliberation, the case against Bill Cosby on charges of drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand in 2004 ended on Saturday in a mistrial. Thousands of anti-fascist protesters are marching through the streets of Boston in protest of right-wing activists hosting a ´free speech´ rally on Saturday. Only a handful of attendees could be spotted against the swarm of the estimated 15,000 counter-protesters who chanted loudly as they made their way towards Boston Common. Organizers of the rally had attempted to distance themselves from the neo-Nazis, white supremacists and others who fomented violence in Charlottesville last week. The city mayor had pleaded for counter-protesters to stay away, saying their presence would draw more attention to the far-right activists and could result in violence.
