It´s James Murdoch´s Fox News Now
Hollywood Reporter, by Michael Wolff

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 4/20/2017 3:35:06 PM

After The New York Times wrote about the sexual harassment claims leveled at Fox News anchor Bill O’Reilly and the settlements made by the company and O’Reilly himself, James Murdoch, according to 21st Century Fox sources, kept repeating with horror to his friends and executives: "This is on the front page of The New York Times!" (Snip) Fox News is a business he should not be in, he had told people before, despite its major contribution to 21st Century Fox´s bottom line —20 percent of its profits came from Fox News last year, the biggest-earning division in the company. Presumably,

And that´s what we are deathly afraid of. His first mistake was to trust the filthy lying NYT. He is even worse than I imagined. Unless his brother can influence him the changes are definitely going to be bad for us.

Contd. FTA: "And, most immediately, this means that Fox News, that constant irritant in James’ view of himself as a progressive and visionary television executive, will begin to change. Virtually overnight."

FTA: "In some sense, with the ouster of Ailes and now O’Reilly, James has overthrown his own network. With them there, both men possessing vast industry, institutional, political and corporate powers, it would have been impossible for the owner’s jejune son to have forced change. Now with them gone it’s nearly a clean slate. Fox News must become something else. The almost certain instant erosion of Fox’s prime time audience, built on the spillover of O’Reilly’s long-unbeaten 80 hour, means the existential moment begins, practically speaking, immediately."

FTA: "Rupert, 86, is said to be watching this in some disbelief, but with some pride too. He has long believed that what many others see as his son’s arrogance and superciliousness is actually brilliance."

This just made me sick. What a disappointment Rupert Murdoch is. Why doesn´t Lachlan assert himself? He isn´t even mentioned in this article. The leftist ideology of James Murdoch is more important than profitability and high ratings. I´m so sick and tired of leftists destroying everything! I´m also sick of all the chaos and upheaval. This makes both sad and angry.

As James plunders his father´s legacy other venues will rise to the challenge.

Nature abhors a vacuum, they say. It´s also pretty vicious toward snotty offspring.

Most of the time, the second generation destroys what their father has built, due to arrogance combined with incompetence.

Nothing new here, really. Just a different company.

I think if they go too far Left, someone will start up a new Station just like the Murdoch´s did. There is always someone looking over your shoulder waiting for you to take a wrong turn and let them in! Maybe that will happen to FOX! Some Conservative "Upstart" might just dethrone them!

If what made it Fox News goes, then Fox News will go. Something else will emerge, following the Fox model. But not as a part of the Fox empire. Not owned by Murdochs.

In the meantime Pajama Boy James (he even looks like Pajama Boy - how are these wimps cranked out?) will fly to close to the sun while chasing his progressive fantasies.

If Rupert really sees financial disaster in James’s area before Rupert pushes off, James may find out that he too can be disciplined by dear old Dad.

This explains the recent change in Sheppard Smith´s show. Much more in your face liberal.. all against Trump in every segment and with all guests. Really quite noticeable and there had to be a wink and nod given for it.

I was tired of some of O´Reilly´s boorish shows and interviews, but someone must have liked him.. he was rated at the top forever. I just don´t like liberals thinking they can make everyone either quit or get shamed into stepping down in the face of some controversy They Never do.!

I must be missing something. Did the kiddo James rise to his exalted position overnight or what? What, is this some kind of surprise to anyone? The article says James stated 10 YEARS ago that FOX needed to reform. He forced Ailes to leave LAST JULY.
WHY is all this old news suddenly being revived as new news? To me, it all seems very orchestrated---like part of a grand plan.

Makes you wonder if Roger Ailes is getting antsy, waiting in the wings for a few more Fox heads to roll so he can announce his plans to start another conservative news network. With Greta, Bill O´Reilly, perhaps Sean, and a few Ailes loyalists like Brent, Britt, Laura, and others it just might work. It´s true Ailes signed a non-competitive agreement but he has funds to fight that in court. An awful lot of Fox viewers would welcome Ailes´ new network, as disillusioned as many of us are with Fox and the Murdochs now.
