Exclusive: After Bill O´Reilly´s
Ouster, Fox Executives Fear
"There´s More To Come"

Vanity Fair, by Sarah Ellison

Original Article

Inside the divided Fox News bunker, many seasoned executives are wondering if they are living in an alternate universe. As shocking as the Roger Ailes fiasco may have been, and as surprising as Megyn Kelly’s departure went down, Bill O’Reilly’s sudden ouster has absolutely shaken the newsroom, according to multiple insiders. (Snip) The most unsettling feeling among some at Fox News, however, is that Wednesday’s events are only the beginning. “There’s more to come,” one Fox News insider told me, suggesting that there are more women with stories of harassment who have not come forward publicly. This estimation was affirmed

Comments:
Who is leaking this information? The sons of Rupert Murdoch? This has only given the left momentum. They smell blood in the water and it only encourages them to continue their attacks and destruction of Fox News. That has been their only goal all along. I don´t trust Lisa Bloom and her vile mother, Glorida Allred. They can make allegations (the veracity thereof we don´t know) and the damage is guaranteed.

Contd. I´m not encouraged because they folded so quickly. The sons will completely destroy Fox News by taking it further to the left. You can already see it. It´s terribly sad because they are the only news outlet that actually reported the news. There are many fine reporters at FNC. You have to wonder if the sons even care about monetary losses if they turn FNC into another CNN.

If Fox news people are meeting with women with no staff present as witnesses, they are very naive and lacking in good judgement.

Good by FOX News. Cancelled my Direct TV. With Roku, Netflix and Amazon Prime who needs cable. And Roku has Fox Business and Fox News best clips. So I´m good.

Actually the best thing to happen now is to have a new Conservative Cable channel appear with many former Fox News people.

There is a large need for a news outlet that considers constrictive values valid. If not Fox then another entity will rise up.

For the left, its the seriousness of the accusation. Truth has nothing to do with anything. The left would love to destroy Fox News. They will if the Murdochs don´t fight back.

#8, I wouldn´t a bit surprised if the Murdochs aren´t part of the systematic tear down of FOX as we knew it. You don´t think they aren´t globalists? (Of course seeing themselves as the major controllers of news)
I must admit, this particular development in the GWO caught me by surprise, but now it begins to make sense with the power players being tossed out, far left people being brought in to "give the other side" and evidently orders to some of the anchors about what they can and cannot report. This started when Barry and his minions used to whine about how unfair FOX was to them...seed planted.

Re #9, I stopped watching Fox when I realized that Rupert et al were trying to walk both sides of the street. Today I found out that Heat Street, a very iffy Murdoch publication, was originally edited by Louise Mensch, who is a wild-eyed liberal. She has now given that seat up and moved on - to another area in the Murdoch enterprises.

Well I will miss Fox News and I know dozens of people who only watch this network. If I believed the people who often comment on this site there would be no conservatives watching a cable station that has the highest ratings. But, we need, need, some conservative with money-and we have many-to invest in a new network-ASAP. Talk Radio, Drudgereport and even our wonderful Lucianne.com is not a replacement for end of the day TV news.

I am against any kind of real harassment, but those women want to be equal to men, so why don´t they tell him off like a man would do, or at least slap him the way women used to do? Why play the helpless female instead?

As a woman, I am not a blame-the-victim type, but when I see the way some dress for business I am not surprised that some men may be tempted to say something that is on the harassment list. Save the cleavage for cocktail hour. It doesn’t belong in a business setting unless you’re a waitress at Hooters. Ditto the ultra-short skirt that shows far too much when one sits down. And don’t flirt. I have never known a man to whom flirting was not some sort of come on. If you don’t want it, don’t bring it on.

I worked in retail and corporate offices for most of my adult life. I was considered to be attractive. One executive, one time, said I looked nice in black. Today that would bring Lisa Bloom or her mother running.

A number of high profile women are leveling claims against the network and against O´Reilly. They are educated, smart, capable and attractive, yet the right wing followers refuse to believe that they have a legitimate claim. Yet, the same kind of women, one after the other, leveled the same accusations against Bill Clinton and they are believed by the right without question.

Bill O´Reilly is as much of a pig as Bill Clinton and has pretty much as long of a history. How about we take it for what it´s worth and stop pretending that his settling of lawsuits was groundless and unsubstantiated?

What started out 16 months ago as a scandal involving the alleged theft of computer equipment from Congress has turned into a national-security investigation involving FBI surveillance of the suspects. Investigators now suspect that sensitive US government data — possibly including classified information — could have been compromised and may have been sold to hostile foreign governments that could use it to blackmail members of Congress or even put their lives at risk.
