Sources: Fox News Has Decided
Bill O’Reilly Has to Go

The Murdochs have decided Bill O’Reilly’s 21-year run at Fox News will come to an end. According to sources briefed on the discussions, network executives are preparing to announce O’Reilly’s departure before he returns from an Italian vacation on April 24. Now the big questions are how the exit will look and who will replace him. Wednesday morning, according to sources, executives are holding emergency meetings to discuss how they can sever the relationship with the country’s highest-rated cable-news host without causing collateral damage to the network. The board of Fox News’ parent company, 21st Century Fox, is scheduled to

Well, that´s it for me and cable. Fox News and Turner Classic Movies is all I watch anyway. TCM is not what it was since Robert Osborne has been gone, and with O´Reilly out then there´s no reason to watch Fox anymore. What a craven bunch of weasels.

Not a fan of Bill O´Reilly, but I hate that the lefties got his scalp.

And if Fox thinks this shows they have some sort of standards, remember they rehired Bob Beckel and Geraldo, neither of whom are stellar in the character department.

FTA: "Executives are currently debating possible replacement hosts. Names that have been discussed include Eric Bolling, Dana Perino, and Tucker Carlson, who would move from his successful 9 p.m. slot and create a need for a new host at that time. One source said Sean Hannity is happy at 10 p.m. and would not want to move."

"Late last week, the feeling inside the company was that Rupert Murdoch would prevail over his son James, who lobbied to jettison the embattled host. It’s still unclear exactly how the tide turned. According to one source, Lachlan Murdoch’s wife helped convince her husband that O’Reilly needed to go, which moved Lachlan into James’s corner."

The Murdoch sons are going to kill the goose that laid the golden egg. You can already see their imprint on FNC and it is NOT good. I see more and more individuals from Politico than I have ever seen before.

I´m no longer a fan of O´Reilly, that changed years ago when he totally caved to the vile Obama and covered for his transgressions. That said, what happened here is evidence of how powerful those on the left are, including the Murdoch sons. We should all be horrified and very afraid. If they can get rid of Bill O´Reilly, a powerful man and the cash cow of FNC, they can and will destroy anyone. The Democrats are the first to scream about McCarthyism. This is it on steroids. The Democrats specialize in it. They are doing the same with Trump.

Dana Perino should NEVER be allowed to fill that slot. She is weak, irritating and could never carry that show. Tucker should take that slot and move Martha McCallum to 90.

Marie Harf, Ezekial, Shep, Beckel, Juan Williams, Megyn McCain, Geraldo, Dana Perino stay... O´Reilly goes???? Fox is losing their mind. They changed when Trump ran for president & they will never be he same. They are better than abccbsnbccnn but they have room for improvement. I miss the old Fox! #17, actually, the entertainment factor with BOR is his pomposity and bloviating, not to mention his relentless hawking of his books.I first starting watching his show because I was fascinated how he got away with his endless self-promotion. I also agree with him on some of his causes, like the war on Christmas. He is pretty good on illegal immigration, too. The ratings don´t lie. A lot of other people find him entertaining, too.

Don´t have to agree with everything anybody says, including O´Reilly. This is bad news, and no doubt lefties are celebrating their victory. Lately O´Reilly has been riding hard on the leaks, wiretapping, etc., and to shut him up it´s no surprise lefties crawled out from under their rocks. That the Murdoch boys want him out shows what their end game is for FOX -- just another alphabet no-news network. Once FOX´s makeover is done, then what? Tucker is okay, but there´s so much crosstalk and arguing. Perino´s whiny voice grates like fingernails on a chalkboard...

I agree...bad move for FOX and another victory for the Left who will try to ruin anyone they feel has too much power or success. Although I am disheartened by the direction of FOX under the "leadership" of the Murdoch brothers, in some ways it´s a deliberate suicide choice and I won´t be too upset to see their ratings go into the tank.
Why is it the Liberals always point the finger towards the Trump children but you don´t hear one word against the Murdochs, who obviously are in the same situation...grew up and inherited a vast international empire. Then there´s adorable Chelsea, but that´s another story.
As far as 0´Reilly, time will tell regarding the accusations (again, note how the media refused to cover Bill Clinton´s rape charges and are rabid about these allegations?)

A big NO to Perino. No, no no! I don´t think she could carry an hour show night in and night out.
I hope Bill can fight some legal wars with Gloria Allred´s spawn, Lisa Bloom. Those two play dirty and certainly not a good image to their already dubious profession.

The first time BOR was accused of sexual harassment it was settled out of court. You know the one that introduced loufah to American children. I didn´t know if there was anything to it or if it was a move for money. But, another time - and it´s looking like when the floodgates opened up on Tiger Woods - come on. I note with sadness that there is the usual rush of Republicans to get in on the latest Dimmi kill. This is akin to zebras hanging back and watching the slaughter after the lions have brought down one of the herd.

Meanwhile far worse is protected and applauded by Dimmis and many Republicans. We are a herd species and stoopid but organized beats intelligent but fractured every time.

See below for an important update. Google revealed in a blog post that it is now using machine learning to document "hate crimes and events" in America. They´ve partnered with liberal groups like ProPublica, BuzzFeed News, and the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) to make information about "hate events" easily accessible to journalists. And now, there are troubling signs that this tool could be used to ferret out writers and websites that run afoul of the progressive orthodoxy. In the announcement, Simon Rogers, data editor of Google News Labs, wrote: Now, with ProPublica, we are launching a new machine learning

Rather than raise money for the sick and needy, a Google employee has launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise $1 million to ship all of the Confederate statues in the nation down to President Trump´s Mar-a-Lago estate. Launched by Brian Farnham of Palm Beach, FL, the statues represent the "worst parts of human nature" and would fit well on Trump´s estate. His full campaign statement: President Moral Black Hole is a big fan of all the "beautiful" statues of Confederate war heroes that were put up by white supremacists in the Twenties. He doesn´t think they should be taken down.

New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has accepted more than $60,000 in small donations from Leonard Blavatnik, a Ukrainian-born energy billionaire with ties to Russian oligarchs, according to a Daily Caller News Foundation examination of the Democrat’s financial disclosure reports . Blavatnik plowed $25,000 into Schneiderman’s political war chest in January of 2017 – his generous contribution was one of the largest individual donations given to the New York Democrat this

Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross portrayed the Trump administration´s push for tax reform as a campaign against elites on Saturday, calling for taking away tax breaks that benefit special interests. "We must drain the swamp of corporate tax lobbyists and the loopholes they create for special interests," the billionaire former investor told free-market activists in Richmond. "We can no longer coddle the elite and let them hide smugly behind their K Street hired guns," Ross said. Ross spoke at the summit of Americans for Prosperity, a free-market group with a large activist network that is advocating for tax reform. Ross was

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin sent a defiant message Saturday to his more than 300 former Yale classmates who urged him to resign over President Trump´s comments on the violence in Charlottesville, Va., telling the group that he stands by the president and won´t back down. "While I find it hard to believe I should have to defend myself on this, or the president, I feel compelled to let you know that the president in no way, shape or form, believes that neo-Nazi and other hate groups who endorse violence are equivalent to groups that demonstrate in peaceful and lawful ways,"

Friday on Fox News Channel’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” host Tucker Carlson reacted to Trump chief strategist Steve Bannon’s departure from the White House earlier in the day. Carlson said while the West Wing may be a “more placid place” now, there were questions about the politics of those by which President Donald Trump is surrounded in Bannon’s absence. “The White House will be a much more placid place now that he’s gone,” Carlson said. “The question is will it be a better place? Let’s put it this way — Bannon was one of the relatively few senior staff in the

A Missouri state senator is under intense criticism this week after making a comment on Facebook expressing hope that President Trump gets assassinated. State Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal posted online about how the President was causing her “trauma and nightmares.” In response to one of the comments on her post, she said, “I hope Trump is assassinated!” She told the Kansas City Star that she did not mean it and posted that statement out of frustration: “The way I responded this morning was wrong,” she told The Star. “I’m frustrated. Did I mean the statement? No. Am I frustrated? Absolutely. The

An internal civil war is tearing at the fabric of Fox News. The events of the past week have brought the long-simmering conflict closer to the surface. The legitimacy and viability of President Trump are under constant assault in the mainstream media as never before – and that is saying something. Fox News Channel executives, staff, and on air talent are taking sides. The future direction of the right-of-center, fair and balanced Fox News approach to presenting the news may well be in serious doubt. WASHINGTON – Rep. Don Beyer (D-Va.) said many federal employees are leaving the Environmental Protection Agency and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration over “fear” that the Trump administration is going to “suppress their viewpoints” or move them to irrelevant positions. Beyer, ranking member of the House Science, Space and Technology Subcommittee on Oversight, was asked if he would have full access to the “unfiltered” final version of the latest federal government report on climate change. The New York Times published a leaked draft of the report, which was submitted to the Trump administration for review. “The majority members of my committee may

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi issued a statement today declaring her support for the Congress to pass a resolution censuring President Donald Trump for “the repulsiveness” of his “words and actions.” “Every day, the president gives us further evidence of why such a censure is necessary,” said Pelosi. The censure resolution was introduced in the House of Representatives today by Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D.-N.Y.), Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman (D.-N.J.) and Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D.-Wash.). The resolution immediately gathered 77 co-sponsors, all of whom are Democrats. “The President’s remarks following the violence in Charlottesville over the weekend are a moral outrage,”

I just did something fascinating. I just watched the President’s entire 14-minute impromptu news conference at Trump Tower on Monday that sparked all the latest barrage of anti-Trump screeds from the left media that will criticize him every day, no matter what he does, augmented by the “Never Trump” Republicans and neo-conservatives who will not rest until they can re-conquer the political party they lost because of three terms of two failed Bush presidencies, followed by the two failed Presidential candidacies of Sen. John McCain and of Gov. Mitt Romney. Not the reportage about the conference, but the entire 14 minutes

Federal authorities are investigating whether sensitive data was stolen from congressional offices by several Pakistani-American tech staffers and sold to Pakistani or Russian intelligence, knowledgeable sources say. What started out 16 months ago as a scandal involving the alleged theft of computer equipment from Congress has turned into a national-security investigation involving FBI surveillance of the suspects. Investigators now suspect that sensitive US government data — possibly including classified information — could have been compromised and may have been sold to hostile foreign governments that could use it to blackmail members of Congress or even put their lives at risk.

As the “Russian Collusion” excuse for Hillary’s loss fails for want of evidence (and common sense) as did her “misogyny” claim before it, Hillary’s pal, Governor Terry McAuliffe, obviously thought he had another keen plan to keep his party from utter ruin. Instead, he is more likely to have stirred up a whirlwind, which will sink his party even further in the voters’ eyes. Led by Charlottesville Deputy Mayor Wes Bellamy (a McAuliffe appointee to the local school board now on leave for racist, sexist, homophobic tweets, the city council narrowly approved removing a statue of Robert E. NEW YORK -- A former New York City police officer, whose claims of police corruption in the 1970s were chronicled in an Al Pacino movie, joined dozens of current and former officers Saturday at a rally in support of getting quarterback Colin Kaepernick a job in the NFL. Kaepernick, the former starting quarterback of the San Francisco 49ers, became a controversial figure last year after he refused to stand for the national anthem in what he called a protest against oppression of people of color. He opted out of his contract in March and became a free agent, but so

WASHINGTON — Five days after President Donald Trump took office, he signed an executive order that promised a swift, sharp crackdown on illegal immigration — immediate construction of a massive border wall, quick hiring of 5,000 new Border Patrol agents and stepped-up deportation of undocumented migrants. "Beginning today, the United States of America gets back control of its borders," Trump declared at the Jan. 25 ceremony at the Department of Homeland Security, which controls federal immigration agencies. Seven months later, construction of the wall has yet to begin, the number of Border Patrol officers has actually dropped by 220

As of Friday morning, the five flags other than the United States flag — representing Spain, France, Mexico, the Republic of Texas and the Confederacy — are being left to the history books. The park received criticism following last weekend’s violence in Charlottesville, Va., from TMZ, Fox News and others for flying the Confederate states flag. As a result, Six Flags Over Texas decided to take down all but the U.S. flag.
