The Democrats´ Desperate
Ploy To Block Tax Reform

Taxes: Democrats say they won´t work with President Trump on tax reform unless he first releases his tax returns. This has to be the lamest excuse for not fixing the tax code we´ve ever heard. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said this week that "if he doesn´t release his returns, it is going to make it much more difficult to get tax reform done." Democrats say that seeing Trump´s tax returns is critical to tax reform, because otherwise how would anyone know if changes to the tax code will benefit Trump. As Schumer put it, "releasing his own full tax returns (would) erase

Schumer has the brain of a piece of dedicated sea kelp. And is almost as big a liar as Illary and Smidgen.

Of course tax reform will benefit PDT. It will benefit ALL tax payers!!!! And we know that PDT pays a lot more taxes than even the 1% of the 1% in Hollywood.

The recent vote for the supreme court proved that Mitch realizes he has the power of the majority in the Senate, and if he can hold the RINO´s to vote the party line, Schumer and the democrats are kicked to the curb.

In that instance, Schumer can take any unreasonable position, demand anything, or refuse to cooperate--but it doesn´t mean a thing.

In my opinion, the most important task now is to reduce the growth rate of government spending. Regardless of tax revenues, the government is spending too much and bankrupting the future.

Perhaps the Dems aren´t as politically ´smart´ as they had convinced us they were. This is Machiavellian stupidity on their part. The RINO wing of the UniParty, wanting to please their Wall Street donors, want at least a corporate tax cut, if not full tax reform. These are the same Congresscritters who would block changing the cloture rules for legislative matters.

Thus, Senator Satan (Schumer) may be ´outsmarting´ himself by setting the stage for ridding us of the century old Senate ´tradition´ and getting us back to the way things were for the first 130 years of our Republic. President Trump now holds the key: withhold release of the tax returns, and the filibuster is history.

And that would be a very good thing for WTP, who support economic growth, border security, and American job creation more than we care about Mr. Trump´s tax returns at this point. That ship has sailed.

That said: depending on RINOs to do the ´right thing´ is always risky business, if not a fools errand at this point.

Treasoncrats will employ any excuse to block Trump´s agenda so long as said excuse plays well with their lunatic base. Tump could offer free milk for babies and democrats would block it out of spite.

And thats where we are at. Republicans obstructed out of principle, democrats block out of spite.

The National Football League´s preseason is underway, and national anthem-hating quarterback Colin Kaepernick still doesn´t have an NFL job. One can easily identify the liberal journalists by their anguish over this so-called injustice. You can also identify them by their dishonest arguments. Washington Post sports columnist Jerry Brewer pulled out a very large straw man on Aug. 17 in a column headlined "Days of Docile Black Athlete Have Ended. Get Used to It." He doubled down in the text, saying: "Sorry for the inconvenience, sports fans, but the days of the docile black athlete are over. This isn´t a time to

Health Care: In Iowa, the state´s sole remaining insurer announced on Thursday that it wants to boost ObamaCare premiums by 57%. This isn´t exactly the vibrant, competitive, low-cost market that Democrats promised. But it is the inevitable outcome of ObamaCare´s government-knows-best approach to health care. Earlier this year, Aetna and Wellmark Blue Cross & Blue Shield announced that they were pulling out of Iowa´s ObamaCare exchange, leaving only Medica, which was also threatening to leave. Not surprisingly, Medica has used its newfound monopoly status to push for increasingly higher rates, while trying to pin the blame President Trump for the

Who knew David Duke mattered? Cable news made the former wizard of the KKK quite visible in Charlottesville, at what planners billed as the largest gathering of the "alt-right community." The "Unite the Right" rally encouraged the like-minded to go to and demonstrate in Charlottesville, Virginia. Counter-protesters, of course, showed up, and many violent clashes ensued. When the dust settled, a woman had been killed and 19 injured when a suspect apparently intentionally drove his car into a crowd of people, although the matter remains under investigation. Two police officers died when their patrol helicopter crashed. Duke got considerable airtime in Charlottesville.

Extremism: It wasn´t long ago that Americans were being told repeatedly not to overreact to Islamic terrorism, because that would only serve as a terrorist recruiting tool. That´s worth remembering now, in the wake of the white supremacist attack in Charlottesville, Va. Harsh language, bitter attacks, backlash against attacks, accusing whole groups of being in bed with terrorists, were all, we were told again and again, "just what ISIS wants." Nuclear Diplomacy: With U.S. anger over North Korea´s burgeoning nuclear weapons program at a full boil, President Trump has announced the first step in what could become a trade war with China. It´s not a coincidence. To say that the U.S. is disappointed with China is an understatement. China loves access to our markets, but until recently played both sides as North Korea developed both a small nuclear bomb and the long-range missile capabilities with which to deliver it, and the U.S. tried to stop it. As James Bond’s nemesis Auric Goldfinger famously observed, “Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence. McCain and Romney used almost identical language, bending their knees to the media narrative that only two factions were present in Charlottesville during the awful events of last weekend: white supremacist Nazis and “Americans standing up to defy hate and bigotry.”
