On the same day that President Trumps´ favoribility rating sank to an all-time low, a new poll found that a majority of young Americans view his presidency as illegitimate. Fifty-seven percent of adults age 18 to 30 believe that President Trump is an ´illegitimate´ leader according to a GenForward poll conducted by the Black Youth Project at the University of Chicago with The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research. Among young adults of color, 74 percent of African Americans and 71 percent of Latinos/as view Trump´s presidency as ´illegitimate´, while a majority of whites (53 percent) view Trump as a ´legitimate´
Who cares? The pot smoking dancing hippies at Woodstock hated the war and Richard Nixon. Most of the dipwads questioned probably didn´t vote or register to vote so this is a stupid poll. If they knew what a great country this was in the fifties and early sixties they would know the difference between then and now and what Trump is doing.
Propaganda works. Clinton lied to Congress and the American people so Bush had to become a liar. Obama with multiple ssn´s and his own marketing brochure proclaiming his Kenyan origins, sealed records, brought about very real questions regarding his legitimacy to hold the office. Therefore Trump must also become illegitimate.
Call Me Irresponsible, but I don´t give a rip what 3/4 of any population thinks about ANY election--including the 44th or the 45th presidential election. Live by the ratings; die by the ratings. That is all Lo-Fos care about. Also, that is what public school education and college/university attendance gives us. A nation of neuts. (Like newts but slimier).
All the Democrat talk of being a democracy (America is a republic) and they violently oppose our 2016 vote... they do not respect the vote of citizens who want our country back from the brink of Marxism-into-Islamism... brought about by a truly illegitimate (in more ways than one) "president."
These days, 19 to 30 year olds were once known as ´´early teenagers.´´ Bunch of basement living, thumb sucking twits that have never had a real job nor have shown any responsibility towards anything except where the next freebie comes from.
Get back to me with your stupid polls once they´ve grown up. Of course, many of them NEVER will.
So I went online to find the methodology used. This is not a sample of young American adults. The authors do not claim it to be. It oversamples non-whites and grossly undersamples whites and they do not claim it is a poll of the total population in the study. Now looking at their methodology, I think it has many of the same problems that other polls have- mainly that people self-select for polls. By far most people say no and who says no is not at all clear to be the same sample as the people who say yes to a survey. So more fake news. As to my family, all three children view Trump as legitimate president- one voted for him and two didn´t. OUt of the two that didn´t, one is willing to give him a chance and actually likes lots of parts of his actions so far and even the one who doesn´t like most of his actions, likes some of them.
Just a testament to the power of the MediaCrats and the EntertainmentCrats. It´s been nonstop abuse of Trump since the election. He´ll probably hit 10% approval among the ignorant unless he can deliver a sucker punch.
For five decades, Democrat political leaders have been pumping poisonous disinformation into the heads of Black Americans in our inner cities. Dems are now telling them that Republicans´ efforts to promote school choice (which 2/3 of inner city parents support) is an attempt to "re-segregate" schools. (The last thing Democrats want is well educated inner city residents.)
I do believe that it is past time that Republicans begin a multi-pronged and well organized effort to work to pump truth into our inner city communities.
#36 the liberal Democrats have to do that to maintain their political power as if the racial divide in the country ever closed the vast majority of Black folks would stop voting for the liberal Democrats. As once those Black folks all had jobs and were earning their own money they would no longer vote for the Democrats who propose higher taxes at every turn. The leftist Democrats know that and it is a big reason who the Democrats are now pandering to the identifiable Hispanic minority group along with a new emerging foreign origin Muslim identifiable minority group to ensure that they can maintain big enough needy minority voter constitutencies to keep them in political power.
"The GenForward Survey is the first of its kind—a nationally representative survey of over 1750 young adults ages 18-30 conducted monthly that pays special attention to how race and ethnicity shape how respondents experience and think about the world."
I´m pretty sure this poll doesn´t tap any of my Sa´ami ethnicity relatives, nor the Galicians, nor the Somalians, nor even ~ most likely, not a one of the Aragonese.
But it purports to be a vehicle for examining how "race and ethnicity" shape experience?
They have an elemental problem ~ they do not know what race nor ethnicity is, but likely they are really down on 57 gender stuff.
A recent feature story there is titled "Why I’m tired of white gay men telling q---r stories"
Don´t think there´s more to be said about this crowd......
ONE in seven of those who voted Labour at the last General Election will switch to the Conservatives because of Jeremy Corbyn, a Sunday Express poll reveals. in seven Labour voters from the last General Election will vote Tory, according to a poll Party leadership was the main reason for defection on June 8 as the survey put Prime Minister Theresa May 16 points ahead of Labour on 42 per cent, giving the Conservatives a thumping majority of more than 100. FBI Director James Comey distrusted former Attorney General Loretta Lynch because he believed she helped play down the investigation into Hillary Clinton´s private server, according to a new report. Comey ended up plunging the FBI into the center of the 2016 presidential election when he reopened the investigation into Clinton´s emails just weeks before the election. The New York Times revealed that Comey handled the investigations into Clinton and the president-elect at the time, Donald Trump, very differently. According to several government officials, Comey rewrote the script when it came down to the Clinton case, mainly because the FBI believed she would win
e-mail View comments Marine Le Pen was today poised for a historic breakthrough in France’s nail-biting presidential race. The far-Right leader is confident her chances of winning the election’s first round have been strengthened by last week’s terrorist murder of a police officer on the Champs-Élysées. But with the country on high alert as voters head to the polls, 48-year-old Le Pen – dubbed ‘Madame Frexit’ for threatening to follow Britain out of the EU – was accused of using the shooting for her own ends.
The Surgeon General appointed by President Obama stepped down Friday after he was asked to resign by the Trump administration. Dr Vivek Murthy will still serve on the Commissioned Corps of the Public Health Service. He was confirmed as Surgeon General in December of 2014. He has famously called gun violence a public health issue. Murthy has also said he believes marijuana can be helpful for some medical conditions. He is being replaced temporarily by Rear Admiral Sylvia Trent-Adams, a nurse and the Deputy Surgeon General. She has a doctoral degree in philosophy and a master of science in nursing
Paris (CNN)French police are hunting a man identified by Belgian security services in connection with an attack on police officers in Paris Thursday, a French interior ministry spokesman said. A gunman, who shot three police officers on the Champs-Elysee, killing one, was later claimed by ISIS through its media wing Amaq as an Islamic State "fighter" they dubbed "the Belgian." French Interior Ministry spokesman Pierre-Henry Brandet told France´s Europe 1 radio Friday that it´s too early to tell what role the second suspect played, if any, in the attack. "There are probably, possible accomplices that need to be arrested which
Scarcely had the starting gun for Britain’s election battle been fired when technology guru Bill Gates waded in with a doom-laden warning to the Prime Minister. The American multi-billionaire, the world’s richest man, was accused of ‘lecturing’ Britain last night after telling Theresa May not to slash the country’s bloated foreign aid budget – claiming that doing so would diminish Britain’s influence in the world and mean many more lives lost in Africa. In an article in the Guardian, he wrote: ‘The big aid givers now are the US, Britain and Germany. If those three back off, a lot of
This is the moment a BBC report was interrupted by loud noises that police mistook for gunfire. The reporter was describing the ´tension´ in the French capital following an attack that left one policeman dead and two seriously injured. Then a sound like gunshots could be heard, which led to police shouting at the journalist and her cameraman to run for cover. At the start of the video, the reporter says: ´People in central Paris were too scared to leave their homes, the tension is palpable.´ After the loud bangs, she says: ´A sudden noise where we were was mistaken for gunfire and
President Donald Trump tore into the nuclear pact with Iran today, deriding it as a ´terrible agreement´ that ´shouldn´t have been signed.´ His administration is analyzing it, Trump said, referring to the 90-day review Secretary of State Rex Tillerson initiated Tuesday. ´I’m all for agreements, but that was a bad one, as bad as I’ve ever seen negotiated,´ the billionaire, and former businessman, said during a White House press conference. ´They are not living up to the spirit of the agreement, I can tell you that,´ he added. Tillerson branded the Iran deal a failure Wednesday. The State Department official admitted in a
DONALD TRUMP has sent his condolences to France and said the deadly shooting of a police officer in the Champs Elysees in Paris looks "like another terror attack". The US President paid his respects after one police officer was killed and two others seriously injured in the deadly shooting, despite initial reports saying two police officers had been killed. He said: "Our condolences from our country to the people of France, again it is happening. "It is a terrible thing that is going on in the world today but it looks like another terrorist attack and what can you say, it never
Boris Johnson met a top delegation of US politicians today to discuss striking a post-Brexit free trade deal and the growing danger of war with North Korea. The Foreign Secretary held talks with Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan, where they restated their commitment to the ‘special relationship’. They discussed global insecurity amid fears that North Korea could trigger World War 3. And they discussed military action in Syria and stressed their commitment to the military alliance Nato. A source close to the Foreign Secretary told the Mail Online: “They said they want to get working as soon as is possible on a trade
A POLICE officer has been killed and two injured in a shooting on the Champs Elysees in Paris as officials say one attacker remains on the run. One police officer has been killed and two others injured in the shooting. At least two attackers are involved, with one on the run and the other killed, an interior ministry source confirmed. One eyewitness said a man got out of a car and began shooting "with a Kalashnikov", hitting a policeman. The police union said the officer was killed in car while stopped at a red light with the attacker driving by.
Local Afghan leaders have called the massive bomb that was dropped in eastern Afghanistan last Thursday ´very successful´ and are pleased with the results. US troops are still battling suspected Islamic State fighters near the site where the GBU-43 Massive Ordnance Air Blast bomb, nicknamed ´the mother of all bombs´ was dropped from an American MC-130 aircraft in the Achin district of Nangarhar province, bordering Pakistan, last week. But local Afghan leaders have said they ´all are happy´ with the results of the bomb, which had an official insurgent death toll of 96. US, Afghan and local authorities say there were no
Donald Trump has a “dangerous mental illness” and is not fit to lead the US, a group of psychiatrists has warned during a conference at Yale University. Mental health experts claimed the President was “paranoid and delusional”, and said it was their “ethical responsibility” to warn the American public about the “dangers” Mr Trump’s psychological state poses to the country. (Snip) James Gilligan, a psychiatrist and professor at New York University, told the conference he had worked some of the “most dangerous people in society”, including murderers and rapists — but that he was convinced by the “dangerousness” of Mr
The Obamas have been taking a much-deserved break from politics since moving out of the White House. But next week, it´s back to reality. President Barack Obama will be in Chicago on Monday to discuss community organization and civic engagement. As we all know, the Obamas have impeccable taste in food, so it wouldn´t be surprising to see the former president surveying the Chicago dining scene when he returns stateside. Will he visit the renowned Alinea? Or return to an old Obama favorite, Spiaggia? Last September, my husband and I had a chance run-in with Barack and Michelle, who were in New York City for their last visit as
Tucker Carlson is moving to the much-coveted 8 pm time slot on Fox News on Monday, and with it comes news from Fox today that his first big interview will be with none other than Caitlyn Jenner. Per Fox News, Carlson and Jenner will speak on issues including “President Donald Trump’s administration, the current political climate and divide in America, as well as her thoughts on how to bring Americans together.” Jenner is returning to 20/20 tonight to speak once again with Diane Sawyer, and her appearance on Fox News Monday comes after Jenner’s comments to Sawyer about how while
Steel yourselves. Barack Obama’s about to emerge from the shadows — and first stop, University of Chicago. Why there? No doubt, it’s one of the more receptive breeding grounds for his particular brand of activism — the activism he’ll be touting to malleable student-age minds while engaging in, as his people called it, a “conversation about community organizing and civic engagement.” Make no mistake about it. This is about teaching the upcoming generation, loud as it already is about all topics that offend, to get even louder, even Leftist Prouder, and to — here’s the gist — use that Leftist
A Chicago artist has finished his mural of Michelle Obama in a colorful image that features the former first lady as an Egyptian queen. The painting by artist Chris Devins was completed Friday on the southeast corner of Chappel Avenue and 74th Street in South Shore. That´s two blocks from the former first lady´s childhood home at 7436 S. Euclid Ave. and across the street from Bouchet Elementary, which she attended when it was known as Bryn Mawr School. "I wanted to present her as what I think she is, so she´s clothed as an Egyptian queen. I thought that was appropriate,"
A Harvard University office devoted to LGBT issues reportedly has issued a flier telling students that gender identity can change as frequently as “day to day.” The flier from the Ivy League schools BGLTQ Student Life office, headlined “Get the facts about gender diversity,” informs readers that “Sex assigned at birth and gender identity are not necessarily the same,” Campus Reform reported Thursday. The flyer adds that “gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, hormonal makeup, physical anatomy, and/or how one is perceived in daily life.” The document also seems to categorize speech that challenges or disagrees with transgenderism as “violence.” “Transphobic misinformation is a
Outraged Muslims are reportedly planning a May 1 demonstration at the Amazon headquarters in Seattle, Washington. The company is under fire after several Muslim security guards demanded time and space to pray five times a day, while on the job. The guards contend in a lawsuit filed this week that the subcontractor who employs them does not appropriately accommodate their faith and retaliates against those who speak out. The Service Employees International Union and the guards allege that Amazon grants high-earning tech workers conference rooms to pray in, but they do not provide the same accommodation for contracted security officers
By his twenties, Kyle Kaylor imagined he would be living on his own, nearing a college degree, and on his way to a job that fulfilled him. Instead, at 21, he found himself out of school, living with his parents, and "stuck" working as a manager at a fast food restaurant scraping to make hand-to-mouth. Launching into adulthood has been tricky, he said. "It became too difficult financially to be in school and not working," says Kaylor, who dropped out of Lincoln Christian University, in Illinois, after one semester because of a money crunch. "And without schooling, you can´t get a job that
Former Vermont governor and Democratic National Comittee chairman Howard Dean called out conservative pundit Ann Coulter on Twitter. (Snip) The comment was in response to a former New York Times reporter who tweeted, "Free Speech Defenders Don´t Forget: Ann Coulter once said: My only regret w/ Timothy McVeigh is he did not go to the New York Times building." The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that "fighting words" are not constitutionally protected, meaning that the words would have to directly incite violence. Timothy McVeigh was an American terrorist responsible for the Oklahoma City bombings that killed 168 people and injured
The September 2016 article in Politico championing Hillary Clinton’s use of "data analytics" now looks—how shall we put it?—rather premature. Politico swooned that computer algorithms "underlie nearly all of the Clinton campaign´s most important strategic decisions." Computer guru Elan Kriegel had crunched the numbers for campaign manager Robby Mook, allowing Team Clinton to precisely target her potential voters and thus not waste one dime on appealing to the deplorables. "Clintonites saw it as their secret weapon in building an insurmountable delegate lead over Bernie Sanders," Politico reported. And come the general election the Clintonistas were downright giddy about the edge Big Data
The day before Bill O´Reilly was cut loose from Fox News after 20 years with the network, his handlers appeared to believe they had at least one more card to pull that might help save his job in the midst of a sexual harassment scandal engulfing the top-rated prime time host.On Tuesday, O´Reilly and his legal team debated whether to share with the leadership of parent company 21st Century Fox an April 13 email from Mary Pat Bonner, a Democratic fundraiser and ally of the liberal watchdog group Media Matters, which had spearheaded what she called an "advertiser education campaign"
Former President Barack Obama will make his first public appearance Monday, hosting an event on civic engagement on his old stomping grounds at the University of Chicago. The event, open to the public but with limited tickets, will bring together younger leaders and students “for a conversation on community organizing and civic engagement.” It won’t be an explicitly political event. As an Illinois state senator, Obama once represented the neighborhood where the campus is located and also was a law professor at the university. He last stopped by the campus in 2016, using an event at the law school to make a
