Dems Beware: Sanders
´Movement´ Turns to Midterms

NBC News, by Alex Seitz-Wald

Original Article

Posted By:NorthernDog, 3/20/2017 8:25:49 AM

With Democrats facing tough prospects in the midterm elections, will they also have to worry about primary challenges from their left flank? During his presidential campaign, Sen. Bernie Sanders never quite decided whether his "political revolution" could coexist with the Democratic Party or needed to overthrow it. Now, Sanders is one of the most popular political figures in the country and the activists he galvanized have gone on to start new groups, join old ones, or run electoral campaigns. The path of Sanders´ former staffers reflects the split in his movement, and the some are already galvanizing for the 2018

Comments:
´The Bern´ movement is not a Democrat - it is Socialist. And they are circling the Democrat party like a pack of laughing hyenas eyeing a wounded gazelle.

Socialist? No. Bernie is a flaming Communist destroyer. He´s in full revolution mode 24/7 and he is nothing but a Dem Party wrecking ball. Dem´s bed is made thistles ad cactus thorns. They made that poo stained bed and now they can stay in it. I image their King behind the curtain, Kieth Ellison, can rally his Muslims. Or Hillary can come out and rally her Snowflakes. Or Nacy can come out an Rally her homeless bums. Or Al Frankin can come out and rally his lefty comedians and Schumer can rally his - what is it Schumer has behind him? Oh, that´s right- no one.

Well, welcome to Hell Democrats.

Sanders was paid to lose and he did his job well. The next time he has to provide his tax info it will be very revealing. Perhaps he will be asked where all his assets came from.

The Beast wasn´t ´left´ enough for the Sanders crowd. Too establishment and voted FOR the Iraq War.

2 things I like in this article:

Thing 1: Extensive quotes from Chunk Huger (aka Cenk Uygur of the Young Turks podcast). Watching him and his ´team´ have an on-air meltdown Election Night is priceless!

Thing 2: The great photo of Bernie in full rant with San Fran Nan to his left. She is lookin´ BAD, man! Much the Portrait Of Dorian Gray. The Botox ain´t working any more...

Is a guaranteed paycheck from the government, with no strings attached, the answer to the relentless rise of automation? The concept might sound far-fetched, but a so-called universal basic income (UBI), is currently one of the most hotly debated policy topics being floated as a means to address income inequality and the disruption that technology poses to the workforce. UBI is being tested in Finland and other international markets, but has received decidedly mixed reactions. Meanwhile, developments in robotics and artificial intelligence have grave implications for the labor force. A report issued this week from consulting firm PwC found that

Muslims in London were reacting with anger and frustration to the resurfacing of stereotypes about adherents to their religion following the apparent Islamic State group terror attack near Parliament on Wednesday. The first cocktail party at Barack Obama’s new office last month was certainly more casual than any he had hosted in recent years. Washington - Muslim special agents and intelligence analysts at the FBI are reporting a climate of fear inside the agency coinciding with the political ascendance of Donald Trump, the Guardian has learned. FBI officials from Muslim-majority countries, a minority in a predominantly white bureau, say they are subject to an organizational culture of suspicion and hostility that leadership has done little to reform. At least one decorated intelligence analyst has been fired this year after a long ordeal which began with a routine foreign visit to see his family. Is a new romance blooming in Newark, New Jersey? On a recent episode of her show, The Mindy Project, Mindy Kaling’s character Mindy Lahari made a dig at Newark — and it caught the attention of the city’s former mayor and current New Jersey Senator Cory Booker. And Booker, it seems, wasn’t about to take the insult lying down. He tweeted at Kaling, sending her the link of a recent Newark travel guide published by Vogue — and told her he still loved her. Kaling then responded, telling him that Lahari’s shade actually means that Newark is pretty cool — and that she loves him

Broken promises are as old as politics itself, and there are many famous examples of them in modern history. President George H.W. Bush´s "read my lips, no new taxes" pledge comes immediately to mind, as does President Bill Clinton reneging on his middle-class tax cut, and President Barack Obama never closing Guantanamo Bay. But in each of those cases, those were promises that were made in a given campaign by a given politician. The promise of Obamacare repeal is much different. Republicans ran on repealing and replacing Obamacare for seven years, over the course of four election cycles. They won the

Mr Gore, speaking at an event in which he previewed a sequel to his landmark 2006 documentary, An Inconvenient Truth, said the “principal” cause of the Syrian Civil War had been the worst drought in 900 years, which forced 1.5 million people to move from the countryside to the cities. It is hard to overestimate the damage the Freedom Caucus has done to the fledgling presidency of Donald Trump, and to the country. By blocking the American Health Care Act of 2017, the conservative group has guaranteed that Americans will struggle forward under the burden of Obamacare. In the next few months insurers will announce their premium hikes for the coming year; chances are, given the continuing withdrawal of major companies from the marketplaces and the ongoing failure of the bill to attract enough young and healthy participants, the new rates will not be pretty.
