THERESA MAY will trigger Article 50 and begin Britain´s historic departure from the EU on March 29, Downing Street revealed today. The Prime Minister will formally notify Brussels of the UK´s exit in nine days time, beginning the two-year countdown until Brexit is complete. It will also kick off the timetable for formal talks on Britain´s exit, with the 27 remaining EU member states set to outline their negotiating position in the next few weeks. Britain´s ambassador to the EU Sir Tim Barrow this morning informed the office of European Council President Donald Tusk of the UK’s intention to invoke Article 50 next

THIS is the moment history was made as the Government finally triggered Article 50 and provided official confirmation that Britain will leave the European Union. UK ambassador Sir Tim Barrow hand delivered a letter, signed personally by Theresa May, outlining the country’s desire to start divorce proceedings with the bloc immediately. At a carefully stage managed meeting in Brussels, from which the television cameras were banned, the PM’s top diplomat finally delivered the long-awaited notification to EU Council chief Donald Tusk. Sir Tim, carrying the all-important letter in a vintage attache case, smiled for the cameras but did not say anything as

When the cameras shut down in the closed rooms, things are said differently. There one hears "both official representatives in US politics and Israeli representatives, and you see how everything moves to the right. "You hear how the idea

Hamas has recently developed a new high-powered rocket of which it has already produced several dozen, Army Radio reported on Tuesday. According to the report, the rocket is short-range and can carry a relatively heavy explosive load. In the event of a future conflict between Israel and Hamas, the new rocket would have the most effect on the Israeli communities bordering the Gaza Strip. The report described the rocket as "completely different than any weaponry we know from the direction of the Strip - as concerns the weight of the explosive carried in the head of the rocket." The veteran Brexiteer said he often found himself “shouting at the television” in disgust at the broadcaster’s gloom-ridden coverage in the lead up to triggering of Article 50. Mr Bone claimed the BBC “doesn’t understand” why Project Fear’s negative forecasts for post-Brexit Britain haven’t come to fruition. Discussing media bias on Brexit, the MP for Wellingborough, told Sky News the BBC had denied favouring an anti-Brexit approach to news because it is “institutionally biased”. “The media is biased – we know

Fresh misery for Corbyn with poll

Jeremy Corbyn has a lower approval rating among Britons than Donald Trump, according to a poll. Just 17 per cent of the public believe the Labour leader is performing well, the research by GfK found. By contrast 18 per cent think the US president is doing a good job. There was a crumb of comfort in that his disapproval rating was marginally lower than Mr Trump´s, at 58 per cent to 60 per cent. But the result underlines the scale of the task Mr Corbyn faces in order to turn around Labour´s fortunes.

That is compared with six per cent of people who believe Catholicism is incompatible and 17 per cent who believe Judaism is incompatible. What can be done about Iran? In Israel, a dispute is reportedly raging between the IDF and the Mossad about the greatest threat facing Israel. IDF Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Gadi Eisenkot thinks that Hezbollah is the greatest threat facing Israel. Mossad Director Yossi Cohen thinks Iran’s nuclear program is the greatest danger facing the Jewish state. While the media highlight the two men’s disagreement, the underlying truth about their concerns has been ignored. Hezbollah and Iran’s nuclear program are two aspects of the same threat: the regime in Tehran. Hezbollah is a wholly owned subsidiary of the regime.

Foot traffic has dipped once again, Barclays analysts note, straight-up describing the magnitude this time as “staggering.” Technically, it’s 3 percent, which can make “staggering” seem a little far-fetched — until you consider it translates

Less than a week after the failed attempt to repeal Obamacare, President Trump will sign an executive order that could spell the end of Obama-era environmental policy. The order will curb the enforcement of a number of climate regulations, in an effort, the Trump administration says, to prioritize American jobs above addressing climate change. According to Mark Lynas, a British author, journalist and environmental activist who focuses on climate change, the order "is intended to make coal competitive again in the US economy, by refossilizing the US power sector and demonstrably increasing carbon emissions." The party didn’t just lose among rural white voters on Election Day, it may have failed to capture them in its pre-election polling as well. Many pollsters and strategists believe that rural white voters, particularly those without college degrees, eluded the party’s polling altogether — and their absence from poll results may have been both a cause and a symptom of Donald Trump’s upset victory over Hillary Clinton in several states. Senior Democratic sources are now increasingly confident that Gorsuch can’t clear a filibuster, saying his ceiling is likely mid- to upper-50s on the key procedural vote. That would mark the first successful filibuster of a Supreme Court nominee since Abe Fortas for chief justice in the 1960s. In the latest ominous sign for the federal judge from Colorado, Sen.
