Five years ago, Chick-fil-A was involved in a major controversy over statements made by the fast-food company that many felt were hostile to those who are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender. Now St. Louis Park residents are urging a Chick-fil-A franchise proposed at the Shoppes at Knollwood to operate in a different way. “We just want to make sure that Chick-fil-A was put on notice that we will be monitoring their activities,” said Zaylore Stout, a labor and employment law attorney. (Snip) The group has made several requests of the franchise, including that it consider installing gender-neutral
Comments: Liberal tolerance on display: delicious fried chicken sandwiches will be available, but only if they kowtow to a fringe group of deviants who demand, for starters, perv-friendly toilets.
Any statements were made by a private individual who happens to have an ownership stake in Chick-Fil-A.
At no time did the company express any opinion, anti-gay or otherwise.
The ´major´ controversy was drummed up as usual by your media colleagues and was derived from the apparently now-radical concept of marriage as a union of a man and a woman ie the same view 100% of the world viewed marriage 100% of the time since prehistory.
Ironic that a leach lawyer like Zaylore Stout (who had a MOM and DAD!!!) would be "monitoring" a corporation that relies on Natural Laws that God put into place, so animals can reproduce and make more of the same, and so a corporation like Chick-fil-A can sell their products to consumers... who don´t believe in Natural Laws and believe this world is gender neutral. Where the hell do they think these chickens come from? Another chickens ass? Freakin idiots! Maybe that´s what they should be served; it´s what they deserve. All this gender crap began with the sexual revolution and has literally killed million of unborn children, destroyed homes, families, marriages, social stability and the best these idiots can do is double down and blame reason, truth and logic for the problems it´s caused.
a little background of SLP and to help understand this story.. SLP is a first ring suburb of minneapolis.. the Progressive (Leftist) Jewish population left North Minneapolis and settled in those nicer areas of SLP about 60 years ago.. it is where Franken and the Coen brothers grew up and is VERY instrumental in electing Ellis..
Who are these people to think they "“We just want to make sure that Chick-fil-A was put on notice that we will be monitoring their activities,” have a special mission to monitor other citizens. They seem to believe they are higher on the Pecking Order. They should follow all the rules them selves and mind their own activities. M aybe they would live better if the paid attention to themselves, Shut up and stop harassing other people.
Re #12: I´m thinking Chick Fil-A is ready to do just that. Note that they rather pointedly declined to comment on the situation, saying only that they are looking at several possible locations for expansion. I expect if they think there are enough malcontents there who are intent on making sure 30 year old men can follow 13 year old girls into the bathroom to actually make a difference they just won´t bother with the place
I have no problem with a gender neutral bathroom. Many places have them. They are typically called Family bathrooms because it is moms and dads with kids who tend to use them. More comfortable than trying to wrangle a toddler or two in a regular stall bathroom. Somehow, I think if CFA did have one of those, the malcontents would still have a problem. I have lived over a half a century and I remember even as a young child having seen a transwhatever person. Somehow those people managed to go to the bathrooms for at least 50 years with no issues. As a woman, I am not checking out who is really a woman in the bathroom. But I don´t want creepy big males in my bathroom telling me that they feel they are women. One thing if you are dressed and acting like a woman, totally different if you are a man going there to stare at women- that is what we are all upset about. If no one had bothered with this issue, there wouldn´t be weirdos deciding that now it is free for all bathrooms and they can go freak out women.
Every Chick-fil-a that has opened in the Twin Cities has been a great success. They always have people inside eating or in the drive through when the surrounding fast food joints are empty (mid afternoon, later evening, etc). Just lots of hype by the disgruntled left. When the St Louis Par location opens it will be just as successful. We stop at the Bloomington location almost every time we go to the Twin Cities...to get our nugget fix..hubby gets a large shake and I get a yogurt parfait. Such a delicious meal :-)
We have been in Chick-fil-A Restaurants all over the Southeast and nobody working there has ever asked us any personal questions or cared what bathroom we used. The most important thing is that they always served excellent food. I use the Men´s Room and the Mrs. uses the Ladies Room. The Restaurants and the bathrooms are always very clean. The only thing they really cared about is that we eat more chicken!
Zaylore Stout Esq. must be so proud to have spent time and other people´s money on law school so that he could graduate and spend his days strong-arming a chicken sandwich restaurant into letting men use the women´s restroom. This PC is all so dated and tiresome.
I still remember to this day the first time I ate at a Chick-fil-A restaurant. It was in the local mall back home and I was with the family. It was the best fast food this at he time 13 year old had. Now my local mall is dwindling with stores like Radio Shack, Waldenbooks, B Daltons and Sun Coast long gone. The CFA is still there and when I went home back in 2015 they built a stand alone restaurant in town with a family bathroom. Fools like Zaylore Stout can "monitor" CFA all they want but the place is a great place to eat and is a money maker wherever they go. The fact that the company is Christian based and closes on Sundays gets the rabid LGBTPDQ crowd all twitter patted. To that I say to them calm down go have a couple of #1s with sweet tea and relax because like I said that´s some good eating.

Oxford University has apologized for a newsletter that suggested avoiding eye contact was an example of casual racism after receiving backlash from the autism community. The university’s equality and diversity newsletter had included a list of “microaggressions” that said not making eye contact or speaking directly to people could be an example of “subtle, everyday racism,” BBC News reported. Social media users accused the university of being insensitive to people with autism, who can sometimes experience difficulty making eye contact with others. Oxford sent out a flurry of tweets Thursday apologizing for the newsletter. “We made a mistake. Our newsletter
President Trump pushed back Friday against South Korea’s objections to paying for a U.S.-deployed missile defense system, insisting that it’s “appropriate” for Seoul to shoulder the $1 billion cost. “Why should we pay for it?” Mr. Trump said in an exclusive interview with The Washington Times. “It’s a phenomenal protective system, best in the world by far, and that’s meant to protect South Korea. So I respectfully say that I think it would be appropriate if they paid for it.” The U.S. military is deploying the missile shield as a defense against North Korea. The South Korean defense ministry said
Brentwood, N.Y. — Attorney General Jeff Sessions will visit one of the suburbs on New York´s Long Island that is in the grip of fear from a violent street gang with Central American ties, MS-13 on Friday morning. The gang has been blamed for the deaths of 11 mostly young people in blue-collar Brentwood and Central Islip since the school year began. Some parents say they are afraid to let their children go to school. Teens say any perceived slight to a gang member, particularly a refusal to join, can mean death. President Donald Trump says the killings are the result of immigration

He was arrested again in September 2014 in Texas after re-entering
City Councilman David Greenfield is asking the Manhattan Democratic Party to boot a City Council candidate running on his opposition to “greedy Jewish landlords” off the party rolls. Thomas Lopez-Pierre, who is challenging Councilman Mark Levine for a West Harlem seat, has drawn attention for a series of anti-Semitic comments and racial slurs. (Snip) The wannabe Harlem pol also ran for the Council seat in 2013, a race in which he used the n-word to refer to a fund-raiser backing his opponent. Ethanol’s rise over the past decade has given birth to an under-the-radar market: Americans who are willing to travel miles out of their way and pay significantly more per gallon for ethanol-free fuel. Like locally sourced food or antibiotic-free chickens and eggs, so-called E0, or “pure gas,” has generated a cultlike following willing to pay a premium. More than 12,000 service stations across the U.S. and Canada now offer E0, according to pure-gas.org and other groups that track fuel trends. The United States should stay in the Paris climate accord but renegotiate it, energy secretary Rick Perry said on Tuesday, alleging that some European countries were not doing enough to curb emissions. A decision is expected by president Donald Trump next month on whether or not to stay in the landmark 2015 Paris Agreement limiting global carbon emissions, signed by 194 countries. (Snip) "But the fact is their emissions have gone up because they are using more coal, and they are using coal that is, you know, not clean technologies," Mr Perry added. "My point is, don´t sign an agreement
The crime rate among migrants in Germany rose by more than 50 per cent last year, according to new figures that have raised concerns the populist far-Right may seize on the issue in the run-up to September’s elections. The number of suspected crimes by refugees, asylum-seekers and illegal immigrants rose to 174,438 in 2016 — an increase of 52.7 per cent, according to the interior ministry. (Snip) The highest crime rate was among migrants from the Balkans, Morocco, Algeria and the former Soviet Union, who have little chance of being granted asylum. The figures were an unwelcome headline for Mrs Merkel
The man accused of sexually assaulting a 9-year-old Oregon girl is a career criminal who was once deported to Mexico, authorities said. Investigators are still searching for Santiago Martinez-Flores, 48, who they have linked to the crime through physical evidence gathered at the scene. Martinez-Flores allegedly assaulted the girl while she was asleep in her Clackamas County home on Feb. 26. The suspect has also been known to use the aliases “Felipe Coeto” and “Isidro Ramos Flores,” according to the Clackamas Sheriff’s Office. Police are eyeing two men they say are wanted for a horrific Battery Park shooting that left a ferry ticket seller and an innocent woman bystander wounded, officials said Tuesday. The two suspects are being considered “persons of interest” in the Monday afternoon shooting inside the Lower Manhattan greenspace, officials said. Police said that two men selling tickets for ferry trips to Liberty Island and Ellis Island got into an argument at about 3:15 p.m. Monday on Washington St. (Snip) The focus on phony vendors started in February 2016, after Arkansas tourist Jeff White, 33, suffered a fractured skull at
A vicious brawl, involving more than 50 teenage boys and girls, erupted at a Florida mall. The disturbing video of the fight was shared on social media, featuring a large group of teens pummeling each other outside a Rue 21 clothing store inside Orange Park Mall. The Clay County Sheriff´s Office said the incident happened Saturday. In the footage, several people are seen punching a girl on a couch. Behind them another group is seen fighting as a woman appears to try and calm things down. A third and fourth group of teens are also seen fighting in the background.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., argued Thursday that President Trump and Republicans in Congress will have "doo-doo stuck to their shoe for a long time" if they pass the revised American Health Care Act (AHCA). The comments came a day after the AHCA received a boost in support from the House Freedom Caucus, which announced it would back the bill. "I think President Trump is really making fools of the members of Congress, of his own party," she said in her weekly press conference. "He´s asking them to vote for a bill that is wildly unpopular in the country,
After a leisurely three month vacation, Michelle Obama has made her first public appearance since the inauguration. Looking refreshed and relaxed after her three-month vacation, the former first lady greeted the audience with a smile and a wave at the AIA Conference on Architecture 2017 in Florida on Thursday. Obama was the keynote speaker at the event, organized by the American Institute of Architects, where she spoke about her time as Chicago´s assistant commissioner of planning and development. The former first lady wore a long black, white and beige dress which showed off her toned arms at the event as she also
House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Jason Chaffetz could potentially be unable to work for up to a month due to a medical emergency. Chaffetz took to Instagram Wednesday to announce doctors at the University of Utah recommended immediate surgery on his foot to prevent a serious infection caused by screws from a former injury. “Almost 12 years ago, I shattered several bones in my foot which required 14 screws and a metal plate to repair,” he said in the caption. “Yes, I wish I could say I was cliff diving in Mexico but the truth is I
So how much of our money did Obama ship to the terrorist regime in Iran? We hear $150 billion. We are not sure. Could be a dollar less, a dollar more. We’ll never know for sure. That’s because his entire administration operated in the dark. That’s how he governed and that’s how he got himself elected, in lies and in stealth, and the news media did the rest. They covered for him. They let him get away with murder – and in this case, that is not a cliché, it’s fact. Today, in eye-popping news, we learn, from the New York Post via
Saturday marks President Trump’s 100th day in office, and to celebrate the occasion he got a bit too candid in an Oval Office interview with Reuters. Obviously certain elements of being president are pretty fun, but President Trump has discovered that it isn’t all playing with trucks and pressing a button that makes Cokes appear. Sometimes there’s work to be done, and as it turns out being leader of the free world is a lot harder than running a fake university and playing a caricature of a rich person on TV.“I loved my previous life. I had so many things
Baltimore’s mayor asked the FBI to send in reinforcements Wednesday to help the city get its murders under control. Mayor Catherine Pugh, speaking at a news conference, explained she went to the FBI’s Baltimore office for extra agents to join with police officers in combating a skyrocketing murder count, reports CNN. “Murder is out of control. There are too many guns on the streets. We’re looking for all the help we can get,” Pugh said. The city already has 101 murders for the year, a number not seen in almost 20 years. The mayor’s spokesperson warned the violence could rise
First Lady Melania Trump may be known for choosing simple yet elegant designer frocks, but on Thursday she opted for a more daring olive green ensemble for her latest meet and greet at the White House. The 47-year-old wife of President Donald Trump donned a military-inspired jacket and matching skirt from the Altuzarra Spring 2017 runway collection as she and her husband met with Argentine President Mauricio Macri and his wife Juliana Awada in Washington, D.C. The many versions of Caitlyn Jenner, chronicled in her new book, The Secrets of My Life, have passed through a dizzying series of variations, from a Wheaties box-ready, gold medal-winning Olympian in her former identity as Bruce, to the henpecked husband and paterfamilias of the Kardashian clan and featured player in their reality-television juggernaut, to—at age 65, when she announced her biggest secret to the world—the planet’s most famous transgender woman. Governor of Ohio John Kasich urged Donald Trump to “take out” the top leadership in North Korea in order to solve the looming nuclear weapon problem. “We are getting very serious that they cannot have an ICBM. There’s a point at which saber-rattling is not effective, and you have to be very careful on how you approach that,” Kasich said at the Monitor Breakfast in Washington Friday. “I think you have to be careful that you get to a certain point. What do I think is going to happen there? I think the THAAD is the first big leverage I’ve
He has floated some conspiracy theories for years, but now President Donald Trump will get to play a crucial role in the long-running saga over the government´s Kennedy assassination records. The 1992 JFK Assassination Records Collection Act, signed by President George H.W. Bush, set a 25-year timetable for declassification of assassination records dealing with President Kennedy. The law set up a single collection of records at the National Archives, and set up a process for declassification. The law required the release of all government records dealing with the assassination within 25 years – with the exception of those the president certifies for
(Washington, DC) — Judicial Watch today released new State Department documents including a declaration from FBI Special Agent E.W. Priestap, the supervisor of the agency’s investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email activities, stating that the former secretary of state was the subject of a grand jury investigation related to her BlackBerry email accounts. Sergio Canavero, a controversial professor and neurosurgeon, wants to perform the first human head transplant in December. He told German magazine OOOM that the procedure will take place in China. According to the Observer, it will take 80 surgeons, 36 hours and $10 million to execute.
