Chicago police warn CTA Red
Line riders of violent robbers

WGN-TV [Chicago], by Gaynor Hall and Staff

CHICAGO -- Police warn CTA commuters who take the Red Line to look out for thieves. There have been three robberies this week. During the robbery, three-to-four offenders approach the victims outside of a CTA Red Line Station or on the train. One asks a question to distract the rider -- then the others punch the victim in the face multiple times and goes through their pockets or purse. Two of the robberies happened just after 1 a.m. Friday; the first incident in the 100 block of West Adams -- then 20 minutes later again, in the 100 block of West Van Buren.

Brutal robberies? No thanks. Democrats are systematically destroying Chicago which was one of America´s finest cities. In San Francisco, I am unaware of systematic brutal robberies, but the streets are so filled with homeless mini-cities, garbage and human waste (urinating/defecating in public is legal now),(also legal is gay men walking around just about nude) that many parts of this once beautiful city is almost disgusting to visit.

Wonderful, a warning. This is like that television commercial where the bank has a ´security monitor´ to tell customers & employees when there is a robbery. He doesn´t do anything about it, because he´s just a security MONITOR.

Some of my happiest memories are of visiting Chicago and San Francisco as a child with my parents. For a small-town girl, both cities with their museums and world-class department stores were enchanting treasure chests. I´m afraid to return for fear of ruining those wonderful memories.

So, are the police putting out decoys like the famous policewoman, "Muggable Mary"? I don´t expect them to advertise that they are dong so until they have made a few arrests, but they should do it. Then make BIG examples of the perps---as many charges as can be applied, including federal if felons in possession of firearms, and maximum prison terms with LOTS of publicity.

During the Cretaceous period, 55 million years before the dinosaurs disappeared, the island was deep underwater. Suddenly, from under the mud, bubbles of methane began to emerge as frozen deposits began to thaw. The bubbles left traces in the form of over 130 mounds that
