British troops have arrived in Estonia as part of a major Nato mission in the Baltic states to deter Russian aggression. Around 120 soldiers from 5 Rifles landed at the Amari airbase on Friday, south-west of the capital Tallinn. There will eventually be 800 British troops stationed in the country as part of one of the biggest deployments to Eastern Europe in decades. The first troops deployed will set up a UK headquarters in the country before the rest arrive next month. UK troops will work alongside French and Danish forces to "provide a proportionate, defensive, and combat capable force to defend our Nato

Is NATO deliberately trying to provoke Russia? Are the NATO people really now the Aggressors seeking to find a reason to continue their existence? I don´t understand this BS at all. Why is Estonia a NATO contributing country? North Atlantic Treaty Organization is really now the North Atlantic, Mediterranean, Baltic, Adriatic and Black Sea Treaty Organization (NAMBABSTO). Something no one ever intended. How did that happen?

The Russian government thugs don´t think like us. I suspect they also don´t have a lick of conscience. A lack of deterence will be seen as weakness, and they have a clear record of taking advantage of weakness.

U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., on Sunday praised President Donald Trump´s actions in Syria but reiterated his stance that troops on the ground will be needed to stop Bashar al-Assad and the Islamic State. He also “raised eyebrows” on the Meet The Press set when called out Assad for flying bombing runs from the same air base the U.S. attacked hours earlier. “Here’s what I think Assad is telling Trump by flying from this base: F-U,” Graham said. ”And I think he’s making a serious mistake because if you are an adversary of the United States and you don’t worry about what

President Donald Trump visited one of his own golf courses for the 16th time in his brief presidency - far outpacing his predecessor, who he repeatedly criticized for hitting the links. The 45th president was spotted at his Trump International Golf Course in West Palm Beach, Florida, for the second day in a row on Sunday after he ordered airstrikes on a Syrian air base on Thursday night during the Chinese President´s visit to Mar-a-Lago. Trump repeatedly criticized former President Barack Obama for golfing - but the 44th president didn´t play his first round until April 26, 2009 - nearly 100 days

BEIRUT - A US cruise missile attack on a Syrian air base may persuade President Bashar Assad to be more cautious with some of his tactics, but will not deter him and his allies from pressing a full-throttle military campaign to crush rebels. It was the first time Washington has directly targeted Assad´s government in six years of civil war, and has pushed the administration of President Donald Trump into proclaiming that Washington still wants Assad removed from power. But the single volley of Tomahawk missiles was of such limited scope that it will reinforce the view held by Damascus

ISIS jihadis have been performing mass executions on Iraqi civilians attempting to flee the war-torn city of Mosul, according to reports. Eyewitnesses claimed up to 50 people were put to death in the latest killing spree, as the murderous death cult struggles to hold territory in the city’s western sector as coalition forces move in. Gradually losing territory, the extremist militants have reportedly tried to convince the local population that Iraqi-led forces would kill them if they fled. But when they attempt to flee anyway, ISIS fighters have resolved to brutally murder the civilians themselves. One witness said he found a relative’s

PALM BEACH, Fla. — President Trump on Saturday praised the U.S. military for carrying out the missile attack on a Syrian airfield and struck back at mounting questions over whether it would help achieve a momentum shift in Syria’s bloody civil war. In an afternoon tweet, Trump defended the operation against criticism from some members of Congress and military analysts that the nighttime volley of 59 Tomahawk cruise missiles two days earlier did not target the runways at the Shayrat air base in eastern Syria. Administration officials have said the attack successfully destroyed refueling stations, hangars and some planes, effectively making the

This is the moment a screaming man was knocked out and forcibly dragged off an overbooked United flight by cops while fellow passengers yelled in distress on Sunday night. Three officers were filmed yanking the man from his seat in Chicago, bashing his head against an arm rest and dragging the seemingly unconscious man down the aisle as he bled from the mouth. The man - who claimed to be a doctor and said he needed to see patients the next morning - was one of four randomly selected by United to leave the 5.40pm flight from O´Hare to Louisville.

The account is not verified, although the bio and interactions between the user and other Twitter users indicate it belongs to the professor. “To save American democracy, Trump must hang,” Professor Lars Maischak appears to have tweeted in February. “The sooner and the higher,

A former Obama official acknowledged Sunday that the U.S. "always knew" an agreement with Syrian President Bashar Assad did not clear all chemical weapons out of Syria, despite the fact that the administration touted the deal as an unequivocal success at the time. President Trump did more than retaliate for Bashar al-Assad’s illegal and inhumane use of nerve agents against civilians when he ordered the launch of 59 Tomahawk missiles to destroy al-Shayrat airbase in Syria. He also detonated a few shibboleths of his predecessor’s foreign policy. First is the idea that President Obama’s 2013 deal to remove Assad’s weapons of mass destruction was a success. Susan Rice and John Kerry have lauded the agreement with Russia to supervise the extraction and destruction of Assad’s weapons stockpiles as recently as the last year. But Assad’s brazen attack on civilians in Idlib Province exposed

Harvard will change the final lyric to its almost two-century old alma mater because it´s no longer ´inclusive´, according to university officials. The ´Fair Harvard´ anthem has been used at university commencements and other major events since it was written in 1836, but now the university is changing its tune. Plans were announced Wednesday by the Presidential Task Force on Inclusion and Belonging, an initiative launched in September by Harvard President Drew Faust, for a competition to change the anthem´s last line ´till the stock of the Puritans die´ in order to reflect inclusiveness. ´Puritan´ is a reference to the English Protestants
