Former CIA official and Clinton backer: ´Smoke
but no fire´ in Trump´s Russia ties

Original Article

Posted By:Drive, 3/16/2017 8:12:19 AM

A supporter of Hillary Clinton and former acting CIA director Michael Morell suggested there isn´t enough evidence to believe that aides on President Trump´s campaign team colluded with Russia, NBC reported Wednesday. Morell was reportedly one of Clinton´s top picks to head the CIA had she won, and previously called President Donald Trump an "unwitting agent of the Russian Federation." "On the question of the Trump campaign conspiring with the Russians here, there is smoke, but there is no fire, at all," Morell reportedly said at an event sponsored by the intelligence website Cipher Brief.

We know about Morell. Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghasi.

“Isn’t enough evidence” from a guy like him means absolutely nothing.

For Clinton supporters, operatives and cockroaches it is far more preferable to operate in darkness. Even a hint of light and they scurry to disavow their previous statements. The news cycle is getting rather loud with all the walk back statements coming from the left.

What Clinton sycophant Morell meant to say but couldn´t quite bring himself to do was there is NO evidence of a Trump/Russia connection. He felt he had to dress it up a bit by saying there is ´smoke´ but no fire. Okay, define smoke? Either there is a connection or you are lying - all of you on the Left are lying....

Does not matter even if there were ties. The only crime is that Obama´s people were electronically breaking into the Trump Tower and stealing private information. All involved need to be arrested and locked up including the bosses like Obama.

ABC has cancelled its Tim Allen-starring sitcom Last Man Standing after six seasons, the network confirmed Wednesday. ABC and production partner 20th Century Fox TV had reportedly usually negotiated over licensing fees for the comedy series before each season; this time, according to Deadline, there was no negotiation, and the network simply pulled the plug on the show. The sitcom starred Allen as Mike Baxter, a marketing director for a sporting goods store who happened to be politically conservative, and his relationship with his wife Vanessa and his three teenage daughters. The show was one of the few (if not the only)

PARIS — If France’s president-elect has broken every rule in the political playbook, consider Brigitte Macron, the country’s next first lady. She met her future husband, Emmanuel, when he was 15 and she was his 39-year-old drama teacher, married with three children. She and his parents at first tried to discourage him from pursuing her, and she has said they did not have a “carnal” relationship when he was in high school, but he eventually won her over. By all accounts, she was present at every stage of his political evolution, coaching him on his speeches and public demeanor, and

Trump´s Comey firing sets

President Trump is besieged by internal leaks as he tries to weather the fallout from his firing of FBI Director James Comey. Media reports about the run-up to Trump’s decision paint him as isolated and consumed by anger and paranoia, prompting questions from Trump allies about whose interests these government officials had in mind when they spoke to the press. The behind-the-scenes stories have often undermined the White House’s public reasoning for firing Comey, causing further political trouble for the administration and exacerbating growing divisions between Trump and his law enforcement agencies. And Trump’s abrupt firing of Comey appears to have stirred opposition

The deputy attorney general at the center of former FBI director James B. Comey’s firing made a surprise appearance on Capitol Hill on Thursday, arriving as Senate Democrats were demanding a reckoning over his role in the ouster but leaving more questions than answers in his wake. Two weeks ago, Rod J. Rosenstein received the bipartisan confidence of the vast majority of the Senate during his confirmation as deputy attorney general. But a memo he drafted this week that has served as President Trump’s public justification for firing Comey has all but eviscerated that trust. Led primarily by Democrats, senators are now

WASHINGTON — Only seven days after Donald J. Trump was sworn in as president, James B. Comey has told associates, the F.B.I. director was summoned to the White House for a one-on-one dinner with the new commander in chief. The conversation that night in January, Mr. Comey now believes, was a harbinger of his downfall this week as head of the F.B.I., according to two people who have heard his account of the dinner. As they ate, the president and Mr. Comey made small talk about the election and the crowd sizes at Mr. Trump’s rallies. The president then turned the conversation

While the Democrats and media suggest that President Trump fired FBI director James Comey in order to somehow stymie an investigation into Russian collusion with the Trump team in the 2016 campaign, the more plausible theory was far less damning to Trump. I theorized on Wednesday that this was all an elaborate set-up for a bank heist. But that’s not the theory to which I’m referring. Here’s the actual theory: Trump fired Comey because he was angry Comey was allowing the Russia investigation to drag along, and used Comey’s ridiculous Congressional testimony as a pretext for firing him. Plenty of Donald Trump’s decisions have been outside the conservative mainstream. But when it comes to judicial nominees, the Republican president seems to be calling them right out of the Federalist Society playbook. First came his U.S. Supreme Court nominee, Neil Gorsuch, whose selection was predictable based on his elite legal conservative credentials. Now the individuals in his first wave of appellate nominees seem to be cut from the same cloth. I know several of the nominees personally and others by reputation -- and that’s not a demographic accident. Trump is naming judges from my generational cohort,

Hillary Clinton recently took “full responsibility” for her 2016 loss. Only she didn’t. Instead of explaining what the historian Thucydides once called the “truest causes” (aitiai), she went on to list at least three pretexts (prophases) for her defeat: sexism, FBI director James Comey, and the purported Russian hacking of her unsecured e-mail server and the John Podesta e-mail trove. Clinton’s accusations also raise the larger question of why a presidential candidate wins or loses an election. In general, there seem to be five hinges of fate: personality, positions on the issues, the general political atmosphere of the era, the
