Trump slams ruling against travel ban
as ‘unprecedented judicial overreach’

New York Post, by Carl Camponile

President Trump slammed a federal judge from Hawaii Wednesday night for blocking what he called his “watered-down” travel ban on people from six predominately Muslim countries.Trump spoke shortly after US District Court Judge Derrick Kahala Watson issued a preliminary injunction, saying it might violated the constitutions establishment clause by singling out people from one religion. “Let me give you the bad news, the sad news. A judge has blocked our executive order on travel ban. . . The order he blocked was a watered down order from the first order,” Trump said during a rally in Nashville, while referring to the

Dear President Trump....I don´t know if you read Lucianne, but in case you do, please allow me to offer that you have already tried to change your Executive Order on Immigration once in order to satisfy a court that has no jurisdiction over your constitutional authority as President. If you do it again, it just plays more into their hand and sets precedent for and justification of their interference. I think we need to recognize that these Leftists are at war with us. Are we going to let it stand and once again let them use our rules against us? The Judiciary has gotten completely out of hand. I wish I could offer some sensible guidance as to how to deal with them; I on;y know that they need to be dealt with quickly...sorry for rambling.

Trump is right on about this ban. He has every right to control our borders and to prohibit anyone who comes into our country from a place that does not vet these people. The Presidents main job is to protect the citizens of the USA. The judges are acting out in a political manner.

One part of "The Swamp" that needs some attention is the increasingly political willfulness of our modern crop of so-called "federal judges." Faithful to ideology, not the law, reasoning from a desired conclusion backwards has become the norm for many.

Congress can´t fire them, but it can restrict their jurisdiction. Given my impression of the modern federal judiciary, I think all jurisdiction, save that over domestic relations and automobile accidents, should be removed from the federal trial courts.

He should ignore.
Obama just left Hawaii after spending about two days there, so you know what this is about.

Judge has no authority. Let him kick and scream. Carry on with the ban.

Judges continue with their overreach because they do not suffer any repercussions for their actions. Get your Andrew Jackson on, President Trump, and tell that little pipsqueak and Obama drone to enforce his ruling. Go about your constitutionally mandated duties as if this Judge did not exist. Someone, sometime has to stop unconstitutional judicial activism. It is nothing more than black robed tyranny.

The judge´s reasoning appears to be insane--considering the previous statements of the president rather than what is actually in the executive order itself. This is unthinkable as a legal principle.

Doesn´t this issue have the same parallels as when we get into our cars every day and drive somewhere? It is a matter of civility and is a civil process so that chaos does not occur. We have traffic signals, stop signs, warnings on the side of the road, speed traps, police officers etc., etc. If we do nothing with the immigration issue, it will result in chaos. That is what Obama and the Democrats thrive on because they are clueless and faithless. I want our President putting controls in place with immigration.

Actually, the Congress CAN limit the reach of the judiciary and CAN indeed FIRE lousy judges. Ask Alcee Hastings.
And that´s under existing law and Constitution.
I want to see an Amendment that provides for strict lifetime Term Limits for ALL federal judges at ALL levels. Non-renewable ones at that.
Put it in the same amendment that strictly term limits all member of the Congress, both Houses.
Term limits for judges, and annual performance reviews of the sort that are common in most companies I´ve worked in.
There is NO support in the Constitution, none whatsoever, for these smelly notions of "judicial supremacy". For that matter, there is no specific support for the judiciary to be co-equal with the other two branches. And the idiot notion of "judicial review" is, likewise, unsupported and unsupportable.
FIRE this nitwit-in-black-robes, and continue from there. Most of the 9th Circus should be unemployed by sundown today, and a large part of the D.C. Circuit as well.

#8, a federal judge blocked Smidgen´s ban on deep water oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico. The difference here is that Smidgen ignored the judge and I believe that the ban is still in place all these years later. PDT should do the same - let the left scream - Smidgen set the precedent.

Throughout history, from Jesus to the Magna Carta to the Boston Tea Party to Womens Suffrage to Ghandi to Rosa Parks to MLK to Reagan to the present: disobedience is occasionally necessary to break an establishment stalemate and effect change. That disobedience is preferably done in a civil and non-violent fashion when possible, but violence is sometimes necessary as a last resort, as the American revolution and Civil War unfortunately demonstrate.

This is such a time (for civil disobedience, not yet violence). President Trump must go "full Jackson" (as I heard on Breitbart News Daily this morning) and simply defy these judges. It is said that "possession is nine tenths of the law", and it is time for President Trump to take possession of this matter by politely telling these judges to go to hell. That would force the issue to the SCOTUS post haste. No more delays. Then on to Congress for final resolution of the jurisdiction of these robed lawyers.

We are at war: attack.

Hope nobody is surprised by this. The left will never go along with Trump on anything. Expect the same when the Trump administration starts changing vetting procedures.

The left is trying to rule the nation through the judiciary, the legislative, and government bureaucracy.

Only suggestion I have is get ready for the long haul. Vote the left out of office at every opportunity. Drain (fire) the leftists out of the bureaucratic swamp. Appoint new judges when the old ones step down. Keep the left out of the executive branch. It will take decades to undo all the damage the left has done.

Don´t see any quick solution.

It´s time for term limits.

States´ rights is one thing, but this is personal political views and misuse of power.

Impeach and remove these idiots who took and oath to follow the guide of the Constitution. THAT alone is basis enough for removal.

Why have we allowed this kind of thing? Because the fight for lawful government is important to us and there are few people willing to fight for the Constitution if it opposed THEM from doing as they please.

Arrest him.

At this stage of the game you would have to be extremely stupid to believe that the federal courts have not been politicized and that this Obama nominated activist liberal judge did not issue a highly political ruling.

The leftists and the liberal Democrats have been busy molding foreign origin Muslims into a new identifiable minority group and liberal Democrat voter constituency. In that respect, and in keeping with liberal Democrat political philosophy they believe that there should effectively be open borders for Muslims coming to the USA from Africa and the Middle East, ignoring that a percentage of those Muslims are bound to be adherents to an Islamist political ideology that believes that all means, including violent terror activities, are fair game after the Muslim population grows to a percentage in the future when they consider it likely that the US Constitution can be overthrown and the USA converted to Islam.

One of the reasons that President Trump was elected was his pledge to use changes in immigration processing procedures to keep potential radical foreign origin Muslims out of the USA. The liberal Democrats oppose keeping any Muslims out of the USA, with Hillary Clinton stating before the election that she intended to increase Muslim immigration by 650%. That´s why we have such a politically based decision coming from the Hawaii federal judge.

The economic interest of a State within the Union is the SOLE responsibility of the Federal Government, per the Commerce clause of the Constitution. To link that with "values" of one State and then use it as an argument against the proper Constitutional Powers endowed upon the President of the United States to provide for our National Security and control of immigration is outrageous and illegal. This "Judge" should be Impeached and removed from the Bench by Congress. He is a hideous example of the Judiciary.

Not only that, but who says a Federal Judge can tell his Boss what he can, or can´t do?? This is a REAL stretch. The Dems just set themselves up for a real Constitutional Powers showdown and at the worst of possible times, the Republicans hold all 3 Houses.

Many suggestions, while ostensibly well meaning, still permit potential terrorists to continue entering the country. Impeachments, trials, and appeals will take months - with no assurance of success. Defying these judges´ orders is the only way to keep the terrorists out - now - and get the matter to SCOTUS next week instead of next fall. Time to cut through the red tape.

That is the "quick solution". The black robed tyrants will continue their abuse of power until they are forced to stop. Something about mules and two by fours.

If this kind of action by the Dims continues, it just might cause the citizens of the country to step in and take over and put a stop to all of this. It is so blatant to so many of us of just how it doesn´t follow the Constitution and actually is opposite what is written in the Constitution that just about anyone can see what these type of judges are doing. And why. I seem to recall a bit of the Constitution that federal judges are appointed for life and "shall hold their Offices during good Behavior". And making this type of ruling is not "good behavior" if one only reads the constitution.

Nunes caused an uproar last week when he told the press that he had seen intelligence showing that members of President Trump´s transition team had been caught up in surveillance operations — without first discussing the information with fellow committee members. He later

With the words "credibility questioned" prominent on the screen, Scott Pelley once again is doing what network evening-news anchors generally don´t do: abandoning careful neutrality in favor of pointed truth-telling. He is talking Thursday night about President Trump. And here are some of the words he is using: "his boasting and tendency to believe conspiracy theories." It´s nothing new. Pelley, of CBS Evening News, has set himself apart — especially in recent weeks — with a spate of such assessments, night after night. Perhaps the most notable one, on Feb. 7, went like this: "It has been a busy day

Ted Koppel had some harsh words for Fox News host Sean Hannity this morning. In a CBS ´Sunday Morning´ segment, the veteran news journalist said he thinks Hannity, a Fox News commentator, is ´bad for America´. (Snip) Hannity then called Koppel ´cynical,´ which Koppel affirmed. Hannity asked: ´Do you think we´re bad for America? You think I´m bad for America?´ Koppel said ´yes´ and that ´in the long haul´ such ´influential´ talk shows as Hannity´s hurt the American people. Koppel added: ´You have attracted people who are determined that ideology is more important than facts.´ Hannity said that Koppel´s rebuke

Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., caused a scene at a Manhattan restaurant when he began yelling at a wealthy and well-connected Donald Trump supporter that the POTUS is “a liar.” Schumer, the top Senate Democrat, lost his cool on Sunday night at Upper East Side restaurant Sette Mezzo, according to witnesses. He was dining with friends when he encountered Joseph A. Califano Jr. — the former U.S. secretary of health, education and welfare under President Jimmy Carter and domestic policy adviser to President Lyndon B. Johnson — and his wife, Hilary, who were having a quiet dinner. Onlookers said Schumer was incensed that Hilary

Attorney General Jeff Sessions said Monday he’ll begin punishing sanctuary cities, withholding potentially billions of dollars in federal money — and even clawing back funds that had been doled out in the past. Speaking at the White House, Mr. Sessions said his department is preparing to dole out more than $4 billion in funds this year, but will try prevent any of it from going to sanctuaries. “Countless Americans would be alive today … if these policies of sanctuary cities were ended,” Mr. Sessions said. He said he’s carrying out a policy laid out by the Obama administration last year,

Mental genius Chelsea Clinton made a complete a** of herself once again this past weekend. Someone really needs to keep her away from the computers without supervision. Via Newsbusters— The Republican Party of Palm Beach County put President Lincoln in a #MAGA hat this year for its Lincoln Day Dinner. (Snip) An alarmed Chelsea Clinton, a graduate of Oxford University, asked her followers if the image was photoshopped! What a dunce. The responses to Chelsea’s tweets were EPIC! “No, this is the exact hat Lincoln was wearing when he signed the Emancipation Proclamation. People forget that.” “Nope, Lincoln was wearing that exact hat at the Theater.” “Nope,

New market data has somehow managed to make Whole Foods’ beleaguered lot look even worse. On top of reports last week that rival Albertsons was sniffing around Sprouts Farmers Market, an upstart organic grocer and wellness store whose prices are about 19 percent cheaper on average than Whole Foods, there are now some new numbers suggesting the high-end grocery chain is also still hemorrhaging shoppers. Foot traffic has dipped once again, Barclays analysts note, straight-up describing the magnitude this time as “staggering.” Technically, it’s 3 percent, which can make “staggering” seem a little far-fetched — until you consider it translates

Less than a week after the failed attempt to repeal Obamacare, President Trump will sign an executive order that could spell the end of Obama-era environmental policy. The order will curb the enforcement of a number of climate regulations, in an effort, the Trump administration says, to prioritize American jobs above addressing climate change. According to Mark Lynas, a British author, journalist and environmental activist who focuses on climate change, the order "is intended to make coal competitive again in the US economy, by refossilizing the US power sector and demonstrably increasing carbon emissions." "This is politically symbolic, as it will show that

As they investigate the forces behind the party’s stunning losses in November, Democrats are coming to a troubling conclusion. The party didn’t just lose among rural white voters on Election Day, it may have failed to capture them in its pre-election polling as well. Many pollsters and strategists believe that rural white voters, particularly those without college degrees, eluded the party’s polling altogether — and their absence from poll results may have been both a cause and a symptom of Donald Trump’s upset victory over Hillary Clinton in several states. Determining what exactly happened is one of the most pressing problems facing

On the same day that the House of Representatives canceled its vote on Ryancare, Alabama Rep. Mo Brooks filed a simple one-line bill to repeal Obama’s signature health care law. The Huntsville Republican titled the bill ‘Obamacare Repeal Act.” It is short and to the point, AI.com reported. “Effective as of Dec. 31, 2017, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is repealed, and the provisions of law amended or repealed by such Act are restored or revived as if such Act had not been enacted,” the bill reads. Brooks, a member of the House Freedom Caucus, told constituents last week that he
