CRAwling from the Obamanation

After suffering decades of liberal bureaucrats re-writing laws without congressional oversight, Republicans had enough and in 1996 passed the Congressional Review Act to override the bureaucracy. This worked only once in 20 years when President Bush 43 signed off on repealing a Clinton era requirement for workplace ergonomics (then the big fad among the latte liberals). Trump already signed off on two -- a Dodd-Frank rule and an EPA coal-mining rule, neither of which help anyone but are costly nevertheless. That´s not all. From the Daily Caller: The Trump administration withdrew 24 economically significant rules –those costing more than $100 million — in his

Team China and President Xi agreed to a 100-day plan for trade talks aimed at boosting U.S. exports and reducing China’s trade surplus with the United States. Secretaries

There´s a lot of talk about a post-truth society these days. A post-truth society kicks in when there is no respect for even the most blatantly obvious facts. Barack Obama once called America a ´racist society´ in an unpublished manuscript from his law school days, according to a Pulitzer Prize winning historian. Biographer David Garrow says he uncovered a number of significant revelations about the former US president for his upcoming book on Obama´s life to be released next month. Garrow, who spent eight years researching and writing the biography, told The Jamie Weinstein Show that it was quite possible some of the revelations could have derailed Obama´s candidacy if they surfaced in 2008.The historian said Obama and his friend Robert Fischer wrote hundreds of pages for a

We are seeing a lot of media reports about the U.S.S. Carl Vinson carrier group being re-routed back toward North Korea. However, stunningly, what we are not seeing is any media pointing out the specific conversation between President Trump and President Xi Jinping about North Korea (as shared by Secretary T-Rex).First, the latest media report via Reuters: A U.S. Navy strike group will be moving toward the western Pacific Ocean near the Korean peninsula as a show of force, a U.S. official told Reuters on Saturday, as concerns grow about North Korea’s advancing weapons program.

Russia-watchers have spent a lot a time wondering: Just what would Vladimir Putin do if he were directly challenged on Syria? Well, now it´s happened. Last night, the United States launched a volley of cruise missiles against a Syrian airfield. This is not one of those situations where Putin had no options. He was warned of the strikes in advance—a good and smart move, given that Russian personnel are stationed at the targeted airbase. With that information in hand, Russia could have tried to intercept America´s missiles. It did not. Here´s what Putin might be thinking. Let´s start with what his military

There is a predictable disconnect amid political followers who have not paid close attention to the direct Mid-East visitors to the Donald Trump White House regarding the origin of the chemical weapons use in Syria. Focusing on who used chemical weapons is a moot point in the larger issue of the Syrian conflict. It doesn’t matter whether ISIS “rebels” deployed them or whether Bashir Assad used them against the “rebels” when contemplating President Trump’s response to stop using them. The victims are Syrians. The regional alliance members don’t care who used them. The message is to stop.

The launch of Tomahawk missiles by President Trump has displaced the gravitational center of twitter purists, litmus nuts, conspiracy loons and the even creepier goons that orbit the remnants of the Ted Cruz #NeverTrump camp. Their latest anti-Trumpism du jour targets Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law and spouse of Ivanka Trump. Every loon campaign needs a hashtag, and their chosen identifying moonbattery is scribed under #FireKushner. As the international community takes stock of the ramifications of President Donald Trump’s narrowly focused and strategic military strike against a Syrian air base, Syria’s Bashir Assad vows to fight ISIS even harder; sans chemical weapons. “This aggression has increased Syria’s resolve to hit those terrorist agents, to continue to crush them, and to raise the pace of action to that end wherever they are.” ~ Bashir Assad. Good. It is prudent for all interested observers to think sequentially and logically about the deliberative action taken by U.S. President Trump; and not expand or infer a larger motive than is

Gorsuch will be sworn in Monday, allowing him to join the court for the final weeks of its term,

Sheakalee’s attorney won the case by arguing that the CA DOJ had not notified Sheakalee that he was on the APPS. Moreover, his attorney, Mark Coleman, stated that “the justice department broke a promise to Sheakalee to keep the raid confidential until a court hearing determined whether he was mentally fit to own

U.S. Pentagon – At the direction of the president, U.S. forces conducted a cruise missile strike against a Syrian Air Force airfield today at about 8:40 p.m. EDT (4:40 a.m., April 7, in Syria). President Trump did more than retaliate for Bashar al-Assad’s illegal and inhumane use of nerve agents against civilians when he ordered the launch of 59 Tomahawk missiles to destroy al-Shayrat airbase in Syria. He also detonated a few shibboleths of his predecessor’s foreign policy. First is the idea that President Obama’s 2013 deal to remove Assad’s weapons of mass destruction was a success. Susan Rice and John Kerry have lauded the agreement with Russia to supervise the extraction and destruction of Assad’s weapons stockpiles as recently as the last year. But Assad’s brazen attack on civilians in Idlib Province exposed

Harvard will change the final lyric to its almost two-century old alma mater because it´s no longer ´inclusive´, according to university officials. The ´Fair Harvard´ anthem has been used at university commencements and other major events since it was written in 1836, but now the university is changing its tune. Plans were announced Wednesday by the Presidential Task Force on Inclusion and Belonging, an initiative launched in September by Harvard President Drew Faust, for a competition to change the anthem´s last line ´till the stock of the Puritans die´ in order to reflect inclusiveness. ´Puritan´ is a reference to the English Protestants
