The Trump administration is considering a proposal to mobilize as many as 100,000 National Guard troops to round up unauthorized immigrants, including millions living nowhere near the Mexico border, according to a draft memo obtained by The Associated Press. However, a senior administration official told NBC News the report was "false." The 11-page document calls for the unprecedented militarization of immigration enforcement as far north as Portland, Oregon, and as far east as New Orleans, Louisiana. Four states that border on Mexico are included in the proposal -- California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas -- but it also encompasses seven states contiguous to
I´d say the campaign to encourage self deportation is well underway. Also the threat of jail time for illegally voting will help. Mexicans are also getting Mexican citizenship for their Dreamer children too in case they´re sent back. They´re afraid DAPA will be rescinded.
What is the problem here? They are deployed to round up ILLEGALS who have not been admitted to our country LEGALLY! If they want to come back, do it the right way. If your an Illegal and you´re deported, take your kids with you. You have the option of "tearing apart families" or not. If you CHOOSE to leave them, not our fault you made a poor choice! The President is carrying out another campaign promise. Nobody should be surprised. Root out those Sanctuary cities and churches who harbor Illegals. They will soon scatter back to Mexico if they fear being caught. As for them having any "Civil Rights" NO! NONE!
#4, now that it has been brought up, Trump can say we´re needing more manpower to actually push the invaders out of our country, so thanks for the great idea AP, even if it was fake news (or very fake news) at the time.
The simple solution to getting illegal aliens back across the border is to require ALL recipients of government assistance, including student loans, be required to reapply in person for photo, fingerprint, and retinal scan. Use their date of birth as time required to show up for processing (starting within 90 days). Meanwhile, remind companies again of laws that require E Verify system checks on employees of legal status to work in US and fines for ignoring those in workforce. Remove all H1-B Visas, giving Americans unemployed those jobs.
This can all be done by executive order and the responsibility given to Homeland Security. Assign an FBI agent-in-charge to each office to make sure authenticity of collected data.
"....including millions living nowhere near the Mexico border, "
Odd but typical line from the AP. AP wants us to believe that federal immigration laws only apply to 4 states bordering Mexico. So, if you make it to NYC, Chicago or anywhere else you receive a "Keep out of jail" card from Feds, allowing you to work, drive & drive drunk, attend our schools, get welfare and vote.
I don´t get this. AP reports this as a fact, even though it is a "draft document". Spicer denies it but the piece goes on and on describing what could happen. Was this another leak or could anyone have access to this?
Years ago deeply involved in writing up some very important documents of great interest to our wealthiest customers I found that people were breaking into my office and my desk at night and pulling out my drafts to read.
SOOOOOO ~ I started writing up multiple versions and just leaving them out around the desk and nearby tables ~ even left copies at the office photocopier station.
It worked ~ they didn´t know what was what. Still broke in regularly.
AssPress by Staff means exactly the same thing as New York Times by Editorial. Nobody wants to take credit for it because it´s either fiction, can´t be verified or it came from an Unidentified Official.
This piece of dreck by the AP (standing for assinine pronouncements) is the perfect example of why I get my news from the internet. I can get the TRUTH from websites like this one, whereas, from the so-called major media, all I get is created sludge such as this story. This is an unverified fanciful dream story for the media. There might be some truth in it, and if there is, I am for it. More likely, it is just more liberal propaganda.
The article and Trump´s approach are similar in one respect: you are expected to believe that our illegal immigration problem is just one of Mexican immigration. Countless illegals from elsewhere are delighted that you have been distracted from discovering the truth.
It´s from NBC (Never Believe Commies), so it has to be FAKE NEWS. Here´s an idea! If the illegals want to stay in this county determine if they have committed any serious crime. If so deport them. If not, then have them all pay a stiff fine and determine if they have job related skills that our county needs. Determine if these illegals intend to become US citizens or not. The money collected from the fines could be used to build the wall or fund ICE.
Lies, lies and MORE lies are being spoon-fed by the dems´ scripted media, but FINALLY, each & everyone is being swiftly exposed! ...It´s about time, as the so-called daily, ´news,´ as routinely churned out by the corrupted alphabets, is worthless regarding factual info.! It´s time for them & their theatrical shenanigans to just go!
I It seems as if the media is using the Mexican illegals as a cover for the suspect Muslims who counter to the Mexicans who want a better life style. too many Muslims only want our land and their Sharia to dominate our nation. They are the ones to deport first. The best solution for them is aid in ending the mayhem and murder by radical Islam so hey can go home to their own life styles.
In New Orleans in the small hours of the morning on Monday, workers wearing bulletproof vests and scarves that obscured their faces removed the first of four prominent Confederate monuments. The precautions were taken in response to what police said were death threats, as the Big Easy became the latest southern institution to sever itself from symbols viewed by many as a representation racism and white supremacy. (Snip) Three other statues, to Confederate generals Robert E Lee and PGT Beauregard and Confederate president Jefferson Davis, will also be removed now legal challenges have been overcome. “There’s a better way to
Shelby County Commissioner Justin Ford was arrested Monday after his girlfriend accused him of choking and assaulting her during an argument in the parking lot of Church´s Chicken, police said. Shortly after 9 p.m. Sunday, police responded to a simple assault/domestic violence call at Church´s Chicken at 925 Poplar Avenue. A woman, 43, told police that her boyfriend Ford, physically assaulted and choked her during an argument at the fast-food restaurant. (Snip) According to an arrest affidavit, Ford was a passenger in his girlfriend´s Mercedes when he became " belligerent" and allegedly struck her in the side of the head,
For at least two generations, Willets Point been known as the “Iron Triangle”. A 48-acre site in Queens, in New York City, its small auto repair shops and stores selling used car parts have given thousands of new migrants a vital start in the job market. Now, despite New York City’s status as a so-called sanctuary city for undocumented migrants, the Central American workers who once pitched for business on the corners of Willets Point are disappearing. They fear that under the Trump administration’s hardline policy, they could be rounded up and deported.
A federal air marshal left her loaded gun in an airplane restroom during a transatlantic flight to Kennedy Airport — yet she’s still on the job, it was reported Saturday. A passenger found the weapon on Delta Flight 221 from Manchester, England, on April 6, and gave it to a flight attendant who returned it to the marshal, CNN said. Federal Air Marshal Service sources told CNN that the agent should have been placed on leave, but remains on active flight duty.
Bergenfield — Two brothers allegedly attacked a Bergenfield police officer who was investigating a double-parked vehicle in the borough Saturday, an incident that led police to criticize the state´s bail reform law after authorities say one of the assailants was released the same day. Several men took off as Officer Adam Fingeroth stopped to check the vehicle on Howard Drive around 12:30 a.m., according to police. The driver, Junior Jimenez-Mariano, 21, got out and attacked the officer, knocking both men to the ground. Fingeroth struggled with the driver while Daniel Jimenez-Villanueva, 20, joined the attack, authorities said.
Donald Trump has a “dangerous mental illness” and is not fit to lead the US, a group of psychiatrists has warned during a conference at Yale University. Mental health experts claimed the President was “paranoid and delusional”, and said it was their “ethical responsibility” to warn the American public about the “dangers” Mr Trump’s psychological state poses to the country. (Snip) James Gilligan, a psychiatrist and professor at New York University, told the conference he had worked some of the “most dangerous people in society”, including murderers and rapists — but that he was convinced by the “dangerousness” of Mr
American race-faker Rachel Dolezal has returned to the limelight with her first ever visit to Africa on a lecture tour about race – a move which has been met with outrage, calls for a boycott and a string of scathing memes. Police flanked Ms Dolezal´s first key note event after a hostile meeting with mostly black students who objected to her insistence that she had ´an authentic black identity´ despite admitting to being ´biologically white´. (Snip) Can you imagine a black person from Africa being given a visa and this special treatment to go to America or to London claiming to be
French security services are today facing troubling questions as to how they failed to prevent an ISIS gunman from slaughtering one policeman and wounding two other officers in Paris when he was already on a terror watch list and was arrested as recently as February. Karim Cheurfi, a 39-year-old, was known as a threat to the country and described as an ´extremist´ by authorities, who had placed him on a watch list. It´s believed he was radicalised while serving a 20-year jail sentence for attempting to kill two officers in 2001, before his release last year. In February, the terrorist
If sea rise weren’t scary enough, scientists have now found another phenomenon threatening the Florida Keys and other coasts protected by reefs: a vanishing ocean floor. In a study published Thursday in the journal Biogeosciences, a team from the U.S. Geological Survey documented a dramatic erosion of the sea floor around coral reefs, ranging from a few inches to nearly three feet since the 1930s. Combined with sea rise, the disappearing bottom means the hazards facing coasts — storm surge from hurricanes and even erosion from everyday waves — will likely be worse than now projected, especially for the low-lying Keys.
The number of asylum seekers fleeing to Canada from the US in the wake of Trump´s immigration crackdown has soared since the weather turned warmer. In the first three months of this year, 3,605 people have crossed the border from south to north, which is more than the total for the whole of 2013. The figure has grown month-on-month from 920 in January to 1,465 in March and the number of those detained for entering the country illegally has tripled in that time. (Snip) Canada is on track to see the highest number of asylum claims in six years,
Britain´s new top police officer last night said diversity was at the heart of her role as she confirmed she was in a same-sex relationship with a colleague. Cressida Dick, 56, said she believed ‘passionately’ that every modern police force must represent the communities it serves. The Scotland Yard Commissioner said there was ‘some way to go’ for the country’s biggest force to have the confidence of ‘all our public’. (Snip) Speaking after becoming the first woman to lead British policing, Miss Dick pledged to drag it into the ‘brave new world’ of 21st-century technology.
Disturbing cellphone video posted to Facebook shows a group of teens stomping a teenage boy as he lies in the middle of the street in Coney Island, Brooklyn. The video is believed to have been taken during a big brawl outside the Luna Park amusement area on Surf Ave. near W. 10th St. about 5 p.m. Sunday. Teens punched, kicked and leapt in the air to slam the hapless victim with their feet as he lost consciousness, the video shows. At least seven different teens attacked the victim. “Today in Coney,” a Facebook user who posted the video captioned it, with three emojis
Fox News host Sean Hannity has been forced to deny he sexually harassed a former contributor. Debbie Schlussel said the prime time anchor invited her back to his hotel in Detroit after a debate. After she turned down his advances, she claims she wasn´t invited back on his show. In an interview with Tulsa, Oklahoma-based radio host Pat Campbell, she said: ´This kind of stuff is all over the place at Fox News and anything that has to do with Sean Hannity.´ Her comments came just two days after Bill O´Reilly was fired from Fox News over similar allegations. Hannity
When we study racial inequality, we tend to consider factors that affect people while they are awake. Differential access to safe neighborhoods with good schools, decent jobs and unbalanced treatment by police and the courts surely have much to do with the stubborn disparities in wealth and well-being among blacks and whites, in particular. Yet it may be just as important to consider what happens when we’re asleep. Race shapes our sleep, a relationship that has surprising roots deep in our national past. African Americans suffer from a “sleep gap”: Fewer black people are able to sleep for the recommended
A review of Donald Trump´s business career would lead one to say that he has always over-promised and under-delivered. Whether his long list of bankruptcies in the ever-profitable casino business, the failures of his "university,´ steak, vodka or clothing lines, there has been a history of putting himself first, while ignoring the needs of his constituents. We may be seeing that play out in his approach to government, as well. As in business, Trump has a constituency of one … himself … just ask his stock and bond investors, his suppliers, contractors, laborers, or even his customers. Unlike Trump, they rarely,
American Airlines suspended a flight attendant after an altercation on Friday in which the attendant took a stroller from a woman traveling with two young children and then argued with other passengers. The episode was captured, in part, on video. The encounter, at San Francisco International Airport, occurred while the woman was boarding a Texas-bound flight. The attendant, whose name was not released by the airline, grabbed the stroller from the woman, who was carrying 15-month-old twins, a passenger who was nearby said.
WASHINGTON — The day before he upended the 2016 election, James B. Comey, the director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, summoned agents and lawyers to his conference room. They had been debating all day, and it was time for a decision. Mr. Comey’s plan was to tell Congress that the F.B.I. had received new evidence and was reopening its investigation into Hillary Clinton, the presidential front-runner. The move would violate the policies of an agency that does not reveal its investigations or do anything that may influence an election. But Mr. Comey had declared the case closed, and he believed
Fox News may have sent former CEO Roger Ailes packing in July of last year, but that has not slowed down the female employees at the network who have come forward alleging that they were sexually harassed by the disgraced executive. Another woman´s name was added to that list on Sunday, when CNN host Alisyn Camerota decided to break her silence and speak out, claiming that she too was one of Ailes´ victims. ´Yes, Roger Ailes did sexually harass me,´ Camerota announced during an appearance in ´Reliable Sources.´ Camerota, 50, worked at Fox News for 16 years before moving over
Sean Hannity is the latest Fox News personality facing allegations of sexual harassment. During a Friday interview with Tulsa, Oklahoma-based radio host Pat Campbell, former Fox News contributor Debbie Schlussel accused Hannity of inviting her to his hotel room before and after a debate with a pro-Palestinian guest in Detroit. Schlussel said she rejected Hannity’s alleged advances and that she was never invited on his show again. Schlussel and Hannity were scheduled to speak together at the Detroit show, Schlussel said. But before the show, Hannity allegedly invited her to an event at a nearby bookstore. “He had some event at a bookstore
Former President Barack Obama on Monday partly blamed the nation´s splintered politics on a media structure that lets people only listen to or read media outlets they agree with, which prevents them from hearing the other side. "Because of changes in the media, we now have a situation in which everybody is listening to people who already agree with them, and are further and further reinforcing their own realities to the neglect of the common reality that allows us to have a healthy debate, and then try to find common ground and actually move solutions forward," Obama said in his
This week’s edition of Time Magazine named former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick to its list of the 100 Most Influential People. The list breaks down the chosen 100 into five categories: Pioneers, Artists, Leaders, Titans, and Icons. Kaepernick appears in the Icons group. In the Time Magazine profile, former SF 49ers Coach Jim Harbaugh praised the controversial quarterback’s protest last year of the Star Spangled Banner, “when he boldly and courageously confronted perceived inequalities in our social-justice system by refusing to stand for the national anthem.” Harbaugh made no mention of Kaepernick’s penchant for wearing socks denigrating law
Former President Barack Obama may not be making an endorsement in France´s upcoming presidential election, but his former deputy national security adviser is warning that a win for right-wing leader Marine Le Pen would be "devastating." "A Le Pen victory would be devastating to any mainstream definition of US interests and values since WWII," Ben Rhodes said in a tweet Saturday. (Tweet) Rhodes´ warning is quite a bit more drastic than the measured statement former President Barack Obama´s spokesman put out last week about his conversation with another French candidate, Emmanuel Macron. While Obama did not endorse Macron, spokesman Kevin
Ex-President Barack Obama is the mystery man of American politics. Given the absence of a viable paper trail, nobody can say for sure who he is. He manifests for us as a figure of multiple identities: a Christian, a Muslim, a secularist, a socialist, a humanist, an intellectual, a man of the people. His lack of definable substance, his inner absence, has been an important political advantage. As Obama himself confessed (or boasted) in The Audacity of Hope, this layering of anonymities enabled him to “serve as a blank screen on which people of vastly different political stripes project their
Liberal activist and Hollywood director Rob Reiner slammed President Donald Trump on Monday and suggested that Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election was the "greatest attack" on American democracy since Japan´s attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. "We´ve had the greatest attack of this democracy since 1941, and we have to understand that," Reiner said on MSNBC. Reiner also suggested that American society might collapse given the pressure Russia placed on democratic institutions in the country. Japan drew the United States into World War II after attacking its naval base in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on December 7, 1941, killing
