During ABC News special report coverage following President Trump’s press conference on Thursday, anchor George Stephanopoulos seemed to be in a state of shock over the commander-in-chief’s hostility to the liberal media: “What a remarkable window into the state of mind of the President of the United States right there....lashed out at the press, made it very clear he thinks the press is dishonest....never seen anything like that.” Special correspondent Matthew Dowd agreed: “No, that was the most amazing press conference by a president I have ever seen and I´ve been watching it since the mid-70s. And I don´t mean
Get used to it Georgie Porgie. If you weren´t such dishonest lying crapweasels, Trump wouldn´t have to call you out. Look inward for the reasons this happened and quit blaming it on Trump. The public knows the truth, wake the hell up.
". . . made it very clear he thinks the press is dishonest....never seen anything like that."
The media are dishonest, George. And when they´re not being outright dishonest, they seem to feel compelled to be egregiously misleading.
How DARE anybody fight back when the high and mighty media are spinning their narrative over current events! Everybody´s supposed to hold still and admire the grand fiction they spin. After all, they have our best interests in mind, right? Right? Hello?
Chris Wallace is having a bit of a testy morning sniping at President Trump from Morning Fox News; Wallace is too much of a weasel to stand up to O´Reilly last night and backtracked as soon as O´Reilly challenged him on statements regarding President Trump and his administration. Wallace has always been in the liberal bag, but he is outing himself big-time as The Donald would say.
I happened to be in a public place yesterday during the presser ( had to read the conversation...quite a challenge!) immediately following it cut to ABC so I saw the panalists´ comments. My jaw dropped...I couldn´t believe we were watching the same event. And that is EXACTLY the problem...MSM will never, never "get it" and it´s as though they think nothing refers to them or their reporting. It´s called suicide....oh, too bad.
You need no more illustration of the dishonesty of the MSM, than ABC pretending that George is an objective "journalist." This is the one of the guys who was in charge of "Bimbo Eruptions" for the clintons... going after innocent rape and harassment victims of B.J. He should be in prison, rather than daring to show his face on national TV.
FTA: "Dowd replied: ´...(H)e walked in there with a hornet´s nest of the press. What he did coming out of there was poke it even more.´"
One wonders what the press, its outrage meter over the redline and at fuel cutoff, will do if, instead of this 24/7 astroturfing of stories about nothing, a truly newsworthy story involving President Trump does come along. Incensed beyond the edge of psychosis, the Left have but two tools remaining in their escalation to the perfect storm of protest: Jonestown or spontaneous combustion. Either way, they´re gone.
As for Georgie Stephanopoulos, witness this winsome ditty:
For what it´s worth, Stimulator of mirth, Get thee a berth To Perth.
Wow, how dense is ABC to use the terms ´smaller and more insecure.´ while putting little George in a tiny box to the left of Trump? He IS a small man, ABC, don´t make fun of him and he has to deal with the embarrassment of pretending he ´forgot´ that he donated $75,000 to Hillary.
Look how small Bill Clinton looked on the cover of the November 24, 1997 issue of "Time" magazine . . . that is the issue where George Stephanapoulos and Thomas Friedman discuss the merits of an assassination for Saddam Hussein (did they consult the State Department on that before putting that opinion in print . . . oh, nevermind, the CIA can be blamed if anything goes wrong)
here is the link to the "Time" magazine cover with Clinton being stared down at by Saddam - when maybe he was more worried about finding a job for Monica Lewinsky -
Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D., Wis.) has quietly stepped away from the committee that has oversight over a scandal-plagued Wisconsin Veterans Affairs facility, actions some Republicans see as the Democratic senator running from her past failures on the issue. Baldwin served on the Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee throughout the 114th Congress but does not appear to be on the committee in the 115th Congress, according to its roster. The committee has oversight over the Tomah VA, a VA facility in Wisconsin that was over-prescribing opiates to patients and saw a Marine die from an overdose. A memo, first circulated
President Donald Trump´s campaign-trail criticism of Army Sgt Bowe Bergdahl, while ´problematic,´ hasn´t prevented the soldier from getting a fair trial on charges that he endangered comrades by walking off his post in Afghanistan in 2009, a military judge ruled Friday. Bergdahl´s lawyers had argued that Trump violated their client´s due-process rights by repeatedly calling him a ´traitor´ and that the judge should dismiss charges of desertion and misbehavior before the enemy. One occasion took place in August 2015, when Trump called Bergdahl ´a dirty rotten traitor´ while speaking to a New Hampshire crowd. On Friday, Judge, Army Col Jeffery
CNN´s Chris Cuomo was absent Friday from "New Day," the morning show he usually co-anchors, following comments he made on social media about intolerance toward transgender people. David Gregory filled in for Cuomo. After this story published, a CNN spokesperson told the Washington Examiner that Cuomo had already been scheduled to take the day off. Cuomo spent hours the previous day fighting people on Twitter over whether there is a danger in allowing people to use the public restroom of their choice, depending on which gender they identify as. "What do you tell a 12-year-old girl who doesn´t want to see
An elderly U.S. Army veteran will go on trial next month for hanging two American flags at a Veterans Affairs facility. Robert Rosebrock, 74, faces a criminal charge for displaying an American flag without permission outside the Greater Los Angeles Veterans Affairs facility. He also faces a charge for taking unauthorized photos of VA officers. (Photos) If convicted, Rosebrock could serve up to six months in prison, Fox News reported. Rosebrock, who has pleaded not guilty, placed the flags on a fence during a protest last May of Veterans Affairs´s treatment of homeless veterans. A 1973 VA edict states that
The media......didn´t give a darn when IRS targeted Obama´s political opponents, clearly violating their free speech and political speech rights....have never cared when Congress, especially Democrats, have sought to limit political speech in violation of the 1st amendment....didn´t care as the Justice Dept. and Democrat state A.G.s clearly threatened legal action against people who dared say the climate changes naturally, which obviously violated their free speech rights....had no concern at all when the Obama admin sued the Little Sisters of the Poor for daring to exercise their religious freedom. But now they are concerned about the 1st Amendment when they
On Wednesday Connecticut Governor Daniel Malloy issued a memo to his state’s authorities, telling them to ignore federal law regarding illegal immigrants. Malloy declared Connecticut a sanctuary state. On Friday a previously deported illegal alien murdered his girlfriend and kidnapped her six year-old daughter. Oscar Obedio Hernandez, an illegal alien from El Salvador, was arrested on Friday night. (Photo) FOX 61 repotred: “Oscar Obedio Hernandez, a citizen of El Salvador, was issued a Final Order of Removal by an immigration judge on Oct. 29, 2013,” said spokesman Shawn Neudauer. “He was removed from the United States by ICE officers in Hartford,
A transgender advocate struggled to answer simple questions about the science of gender identity in a discussion about former President Obama’s transgender bathroom decree Thursday on Tucker Carlson Tonight. “Let’s move from the politics to the science,” Carlson said to Zac Petkanas, Democratic National Committee senior advisor, launching into a series of questions about the implications of allowing people to determine their sex. “There’s no biological anchor to sex anymore. It’s all determined by the individual,” he said. “So my obvious question for you is, how do I know if a person’s male or female? Is there some absolute standard people
Hundreds of Christians are fleeing Egypt´s North Sinai after the Islamic State released a list that calls for their deaths. Approximately 100 of the region´s 160 Christian families, as well as 200 students studying in the province´s capital of Arish, have departed. The terrorist group has killed seven people in North Sinai since the beginning of February as part of its insurgency in the region. On Sunday, the Islamic State published a video announcing its campaign against Christians in Egypt. The threat comes two months after the terrorists bombed a chapel attached to Cairo´s St. Mark´s Cathedral, which killed 28
There has been a lot of attention paid to Sean Spicer’s decision to not invite the New York Times, CNN and Politico to a press gaggle in his office today. However, against the backdrop of the attempted hit job by CNN and the New York Times the Spicer decision was modest. CNN framed a story of White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus asking the FBI to rebuke an earlier story -based on anonymous leaks- of Trump campaign contacts with Russia. According to the agenda, CNN wanted to make it look like the administration was pressuring the FBI to provide
(Photo) President Trump, in his third week in office, met with a class of Green Beret candidates and brought them into the Oval Office for the first time in the course’s history. The 18 Army officers in the Special Forces Qualification Course, or “Q-course,” were visiting the National Security Council in early February, as a normal part of the course. But this time, Deputy Assistant to the President Sebastian Gorka, who was scheduled to speak to the students, had suggested that they meet the president. The plan was to take them into the Roosevelt Room in the West Wing of
Bloomberg has cancelled its annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner afterparty. The news was first reported by Axios and confirmed by reports elsewhere. The media company is still attending the dinner itself, but will not be doing an afterparty: A Bloomberg spokesperson told us: “We surveyed some of the past attendees and didn’t get as much interest in a party this year as we’ve had in the past, so we decided to focus on the dinner and the WHCA.” President Trump‘s recent attacks on the press have stirred more public debate about whether news outlets should show up to the dinner.
Hard-charging US Attorney Preet Bharara sent a message to Mayor de Blasio Friday — trotting out the same prosecutors who took down Sheldon Silver and Dean Skelos to interrogate Hizzoner about his campaign fund-raising activities. “Preet’s office is a force to be reckoned with, but these prosecutors he rolled out for this case are a big deal and very competent, indicating that they are taking this matter very seriously,” a federal law-enforcement source told The Post. Andrew Goldstein, chief of the public corruption unit, and his deputy Tatiana Martins were among at least four assistant US attorneys to question de
Mika Brzezinski, co-host of MSNBC’s Morning Joe, had an unfortunate turn of phrase the other day. She said it’s the mission of the press to “control exactly what people think.” My suspicion is that this was less a Freudian slip than a simple slip-up. Brzezinski was referring to her fear that President Trump may be trying to control the way people think by discrediting the media — whom he calls “enemies of the American people” — and she lost her rhetorical footing, stumbling into saying that mind control is “our job.” But the misstatement resonated with a lot of people,
An upbeat Hillary Clinton popped back into the political spotlight Friday with a three-minute address to Democrats, applauding them for being the ´resistance´ against President Donald Trump. She urged her party to ´keep fighting and keep the faith,´ while adding, ´I´ll be there right with you every step of the way.´ Clinton´s message was released in conjunction with the Democrats´ meeting in Atlanta, Georgia, where they´ll decide new Democratic National Committee leadership tomorrow. But Clinton´s frequent forays back into the limelight suggest she could still write another political chapter post-2016. She´s called out the new president several times on Twitter, writing simply ´3-0´
Former House Speaker John Boehner predicted on Thursday that a full repeal and replace of Obamacare is “not going to happen.” Boehner, who resigned in 2015 amid unrest among conservatives, said at an Orlando health care conference that the idea that a repeal-and-replace plan would blitz through Congress is just “happy talk.” Instead, he said changes to former President Barack Obama’s signature legislative achievement would likely be relatively modest. “[Congressional Republicans are] going to fix Obamacare – I shouldn’t call it repeal-and-replace, because it’s not going to happen,” he said. Boehner’s comments come as Republican lawmakers across the country are facing angry constituents
The White House blocked a number of news outlets from covering spokesman Sean Spicer’s question-and-answer session on Friday afternoon. Spicer decided to hold an off-camera “gaggle” with reporters inside his West Wing office instead of the traditional on-camera briefing in the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room. Among the outlets not permitted to cover the gaggle were news organizations President Trump has singled out for criticism, including CNN. The New York Times, The Hill, Politico, BuzzFeed, the Daily Mail, BBC, the Los Angeles Times and the New York Daily News were among the other news organizations not permitted to attend.
According to an exclusive in Us Weekly, Hillary Clinton was approached about being on Dancing with the Stars‘s 24th season. The Democratic former nominee for president declined the offer, although her shimmy would have undoubtedly won her the popular vote. On the grassy slope of a fjord near the southernmost tip of Greenland stand the ruins of a church built by Viking settlers more than a century before Columbus sailed to the Americas. The thick granite-block walls remain intact, as do the 20-foot-high gables. The wooden roof, rafters and doors collapsed and rotted away long ago. Now sheep come and go at will, munching wild thyme where devout Norse Christian converts once knelt in prayer. The Vikings called this fjord Hvalsey, which means “Whale Island” in Old Norse. It was here that Sigrid Bjornsdottir wed Thorstein Olafsson on Sunday, September
An image of White House advisor Stephen Miller is making the rounds on the internet — and it allegedly shows him making the “white power” hand gesture on live TV. Except, as Mediaite so eloquently pointed out, he was just fixing his tie before appearing on “Face the Nation.” Take a look at the picture in question: (Tweet/Photo) DailyKOS made a point on February 21 to insist that Miller is a white supremacist and that his gesture was some sort of anti-Semitic, “white power” shout out. Here´s their reasoning behind such a strong accusation. The right hand, on top, is
Milo Yiannopoulos is neither a free speech martyr nor a conservative. Rather, he is a flamboyant and provocative troll. Ross Douthat accurately describes him this way: [He is] a gay cross-dressing Catholic part-Jewish Brit who likes to boast about his sexual appetite, favors "ironic" racial and misogynist humor, and not occasionally describes the president of the United States as “Daddy.” Daily Beast media columnist Lloyd Grove views him as: ... [an] embattled Donald Trump groupie and alt-right provocateur -- who usually baits African Americans, Jews, women, transgender people, and his fellow gay men at his various speaking engagements in a merry tone of
Zac Petkanas, Democrat National Committee Senior Adviser, appeared on Tucker Carlson’s TV show to explain the DNC position that a persons gender is what they say it is. The argument is fraught with downstream impact, because if a person’s gender is what they say it is at any given moment in time – then there’s immediately no such thing as Sexism or gender driven ERA laws. You cannot be sued for hiring all males, because some of those males can instantaneously be women, and you’re not allowed to ask about their gender when hiring…. because it’s a protected category… see where
Tonight is the big night: all across the country, witches will gather to light candles and mutter incantations in hopes of evicting President Trump from the White House: "Men and women from around the world are planning to gather and cast a spell at midnight that will stop President Trump from doing harm while also possibly banishing him from office." (Snip) The idea is that these witchcraft events will continue until Trump is “driven from office.” There is a chant, too. It begins: Hear me, oh spirits / Of Water, Earth, Fire, and Air / Heavenly hosts / Demons of the infernal
CNN’s Chris Cuomo thinks that a 12 year old little girl is the problem if she doesn’t want to be in a locker room with a male where he can expose his genitals to her. He also said that if her father had a problem with it, he is either overprotective or intolerant. There are no words for the level of degeneracy this man has sunk to. What kind of society do we have when it’s not even a priority to protect our daughters from sexual perversion? (Snip) Chris Cuomo received a lot of backlash for his tweet so he
A group of law professors have filed a misconduct complaint against Kellyanne Conway, claiming that she violated the Rules of Professional Conduct for attorneys by giving false statements to the media. (Snip) The complaint states that attorneys holding public office “have a higher obligation to avoid conduct involving dishonest [sic], fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation than other lawyers.” Conway allegedly failed to live up to that obligation when she referred to a “Bowling Green Massacre” as justification for President Trump’s travel ban, even though “Ms. Conway knew there was no massacre.” The complaint also says that Conway made another false statement
