The Obamas have returned from their post-White House vacation, and they are getting back to work and looking for some new employees. The ´Office of Barack and Michelle´ put out a listing for interns to work directly with the Washington-based power couple. Exactly what the tasks will be is unclear, but Michelle and Barack have a number of speaking engagements planned and will each be writing books in the coming months. Responsibilities listed in the job position include tasks focused on correspondence, and they are looking for people who ´take initiate, manage their time well, have strong attention to detail,

Hire Malia for 3 months, then let her "write" a book about her experience, and launder some more of that Soros money into the family.

I thought these people were against slavery. Internships are just a way of getting free labor. They should be outlawed.

The world, "´´intern´´, is a derivation of the old Latin word for "slave". Leave it to the Obamas to try to get free labor.

There is a Seinfeld episode for almost any issue.
In this case, one is reminded of Kramerica, Kramer´s non-company, where he obtained an intern from Columbia University.
The intern went to prison for helping Kramer drop a large, oil filled beach ball full of oil, to test Kramer´s idea on making oil tankers rupture proof. The ball was dropped from a building housing George´s employer, a toy company. (the ball hit Jerry´s girlfriend, who had a talking stomach gurgle. Helloooo!)

Immigration provision cut from Obamacare
rollback, angering conservatives

Some conservatives in Washington were fuming on Tuesday after an Obamacare rollback bill was tweaked by Republican leaders to delete a provision meant to crack down on illegal immigrants getting federal healthcare insurance coverage. The development posed another problem for Republican leaders in the U.S. House of Representatives and President Donald Trump, who are trying to win congressional approval of the wider bill, the first big legislative test for Trump since taking office. The provision would have allowed the Treasury Department to access data at the Department of Homeland Security to verify that healthcare tax credits went only to U.S.

Nordstrom insists its line of Ivanka Trump products, ranging from professional sheath dresses and black pumps, wasn’t selling well, so it had to be dropped. So what did it pick up? High-wasted, acid-washed mom jeans, complete with see-through knees, selling for $95 a pop. Made by Topshop — a hip British retailer — the jeans feature clear, plastic kneecap covers, sewn into the fabric. Nordstrom.com says the jeans have a “futuristic feel.” Even the liberal Huffington Post is questioning why. Begging for someone to put a stop to the madness, Huffington Post writer Carly Ledbetter penned, “Have you ever thought

A group of Senate Democrats is beginning to explore trying to extract concessions from Republicans in return for allowing Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch to be confirmed, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter. The lawmakers worry that Gorsuch could be confirmed whether Democrats try to block him or not — and Democrats would be left with nothing to show for it. That would be a bitter pill after the GOP blocked Merrick Garland for nearly a year. The deal Democrats would be most likely to pursue, the sources said, would be to allow confirmation of Gorsuch in exchange for a

In the last three months of the Obama presidency, significant personal information from and about the Trump transition was collected and widely disseminated at intelligence agencies, according to House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes. Dozens of intelligence reports provided to Nunes by an unnamed whistleblower were floating around during the sensitive transition period following the election, he said. The information collection itself may have technically been legal, but the failure to properly mask the information “alarmed” the California congressman, who notified the White House of the surveillance and dissemination of information on Wednesday afternoon. Dealing with the Obamacare mess has been the core focus of the Republican party for the past 7 years — not to mention a major campaign promise that helped propel Donald Trump to the White House.
