Washington — The organizers of the Women´s March on Washington have set the date for their general strike, dubbed "A Day Without A Woman," for March 8, which is International Women´s Day. The group previously announced their plan for a general strike but didn´t give the date until Tuesday. "In the spirit of women and their allies coming together for love and liberation, we offer ´A Day Without A Woman,´" the organizers said in an Instagram post. The organizers of that strike, Strike4Democracy, say on their website that the group will "coordinate over 100 strike actions across the United States, and beyond,
Comments: A day with screeching, unhinged liberal harridans and harpies protesting nothing for the sake of their vanity? Throw in effeminate Democrat men, all making themselves look incredibly foolish? Sounds like a plan.
How about a "Day without men"? Who then would clean up the mess in CA after that dam break? Who would build our new roads? Who would answer our calls when the electricity is out? Who would build our houses? Who would rescue millions from accidents? Come on. We need both sexes to get the job done.
Unattractive women who shun makeup and who take great pride in not cooking, not cleaning, not raising their children, not treating men as equals and not respecting our electoral system are going on strike? Will they spend day composing nasty messages about Melania, Ivanka and Ed Secretary Betsy DeVos while wearing their pink or rainbow pussy hats?
One thing is certain, these leftists will say nothing about the cruel treatment of women by Muslims.
I say organize "A Day Without Men" March on the same day. Men could use the same mantra that the women are using--- "Our army of love greatly outnumbers the army of fear, greed and hatred." And I´ll leave it up to you about the hat design. Just imagine: Everyone could peacefully protest or counter protest everyone else. The streets would be filled with...men and women. The media wouldn´t know which way to turn. The "Day Without Men" Marchers could score more politically correct points by including a sub-category of "A Day Without Whatever Gender You Identify With." Those marchers could wear burkhas to signal their uncertain identity on MAR 8. This is something we SHOULD do. But unfortunately, we can´t seem to organize and instead we´ll just sit back and whine and moan about the women and their strike. Sigh.
Many women scratch their heads and wonder who these women are. This writer does a pretty good job of describing them:
Sure, the barren spinsters protesting in the streets for a “woman’s right to choose” are pro-abortion, but they are the dull witted shock troops of the Cult of Modern Liberalism, organized around simple ideas in order to get them out in the streets making noise. The women who were running around dressed as vaginas last month had no idea why they were doing it. They just liked the drama and the attention.
The same with those moronic pink knit caps. The dreary women shown knitting them - for months! - and the dreary-looking women shown wearing them. Ack.
What happened to female pride? Most women I know wouldn’t be caught dead participating in such nonsense.
These folks...wonder if they realize they are being funded by the world´s biggest chauvinistic man who is throwing his billions at them, using them for political gain? Their leader wears a hijab and is all for sharia law which would stone the majority of them to death in a blink of an eye? Sheeple, marching to the beat of a death knell.
Will the lights not come on when I flick the switch? Will heavy construction work on building sites be affected? Will garbage not be collected? Will there be no firefighters to respond to calls, no cops (at least those actually prepared to face miscreants) walking or patrolling beats?
All hard and important physical work that society requires will continue as though nothing happened.
In other words, we will receive a real-life tutorial on the issues underlying the "wage gap." Knock yourselves out, liberal ladies.
When I saw this on the news I turned to my husband and said, "That sounds like every man´s dream. You guys need a break." He laughed and said that he planned to wake up extra early that day to enjoy every minute of it. He has hope that the liberal nag hags that work in his office will "strike." It will be a blessed day if they do!
"[P]ease, Brer Fox, please don´t throw me into the briar patch." I find it hysterical that the Left thinks America likes what it puts in front of news cameras. They´ll get their share of brainwashed libtard wives, but even they will get a firsthand, oh-too-real taste for what they´re really supporting.
I just wanted to remind all of the conservative women that use their brains, that the comments here (although not stated) are referring to the crazy wacko liberal females. We really appreciate the rest of you.
#10 - The hats are already available; I just don´t think the news would readily show a bunch of men wearing dick hats. At least not the kind out there. (Hint, it doesn´t sit on top of the wearer´s head...)
Then again, the sight of thousands of men wearing dick hats might drive home just how stupid the whole concept was that started this.
We could probably give NORAD and other watchful sentry systems the day off, though, because the Russians and Chinese would be laughing too hard at us to coordinate an attack...
The man suspected of taking a 6-year-old Connecticut girl prompting an Amber Alert on Friday had previously been deported, federal immigration officials said. Oscar Hernandez was taken into custody on Friday following a high-speed car chase and crash on Interstate 99 in Benner Township, Pennsylvania. (Snip) Federal immigration officials said Hernandez is a citizen of El Salvador and had been previously deported on Nov. 27, 2013. He has prior felony convictions including assault and threatening. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement had placed a detainer on him, an agency spokesman said in a statement. Hernandez is accused of taking
Weehawken — A Vernon man was arrested Friday heading into the Lincoln Tunnel after police found the man had owed thousands of dollars to EZPass, authorities said. Dominic Slockbower, 36, allegedly had 206 toll violations across 21 separate accounts, totaling $12,740 in unpaid tolls and fines, according to Port Authority Police spokesman Joe Pentangelo. Slockbower was pulled over at the toll booth in Weehawken and arrested at about 4 p.m. after police spotted his white 2006 Toyota Scion, known to officers as a "habitual toll violator," Pentangelo said. Slockbower will appear in Central Judicial Processing in Jersey City on March 10.
Wiz Khalifa and his family are mourning the loss of the rapper´s transgender sister. Khalifa´s mom, Peachie Wimbush, announced the sad news on Instagram sharing a photo of her daughter, Dorien "Lala" Thomaz´s obituary. (Snip) Just four days before sharing the sad news, Wimbush had posted a photo of her holding another woman´s hand asking for prayers. The obituary said Thomaz died “peacefully with her Mother by her side” on Feb. 20. She was 32 years old. A cause of death has not been released. Khalifa, 29, commented on the death Friday, tweeting that it has been one of the “hardest things” he´s
A pimp who smuggled a woman from Mexico to Queens and forced her to have sex with up to 60 men a day was sentenced Friday to nearly 16 years behind bars. Before learning his fate, Paulino Ramirez-Granados sat quietly as his brave victim detailed the “extreme abuse” she suffered at the hands of the merciless Mexican national. “Paulino was routinely disgusting to me, and treated me like less than a human being,” the victim said in Brooklyn Federal Court, choking up as she spoke. (Snip) “This extensive Mexican sex trafficking operation has preyed upon countless young women, exploiting and
A group of boneheaded brawlers used chairs to beat one another in a no holds barred beatdown at a Bronx restaurant, according to police and video of the incident. A brief video recording of the fight at the City Island eatery Seafood City emerged online Friday. The bedlam, which looks like a full blown WWE-style wrestling match, took place around 9:45 p.m., Thursday, according to police. A dozen people can be seen in the clip tossing and using chairs as shields as well as throwing punches at one another. By the time cops from the 45th precinct got there the scrappers had scampered
The largest and busiest airport in Arkansas would no longer be named after the only president and first lady from the state if a bill introduced in the legislature on Thursday succeeds. (Snip) The bill makes no mention of former President Bill Clinton or former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, for whom the Little Rock airport was renamed four years ago — as Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport/Adams Field — but its author does not hesitate to identify its target. “You have a president who was impeached for having an affair with an intern in the Oval Office and then disbarred,” said
Four subway dancers attacked a straphanger who refused to move aside so they could perform in the middle of a Brooklyn train car, police said Thursday. The four men, described as being in their 20s, walked onto the southbound A train in East New York at about 1:20 p.m. Wednesday, asking for money and shouting at people to step aside so they could do their routine, according to police. When the 40-year-old victim, who was with his 26-year-old girlfriend, refused to move, one of the dancers punched him in the face, cutting him on his left cheek, police said.
UC Berkeley students and staff were recently alerted that a man has been repeatedly depositing body lice in buildings across campus, according to a the Daily Californian article posted on Tuesday. (Snip) According to this email, the unidentified man will take a handful of paper towels and a trash bin into a restroom stall. In the stall, "he will wipe off countless body lice; depositing the towels and live insects in the bin," reports the Daily Cal. The email also said that the individual would sit in an unspecified lounge for hours after wiping off the lice. According to RSF
Elizabeth, N.J. — A New Jersey man who was released from jail due to the new bail reform law, was arrested again for allegedly beating a woman and endangering a small child. Thurlis Hassel, 36, who was arrested on Feb. 2, was released from jail only three weeks prior. (Snip) Hassel was out on probation for a drug charge when electricians working in his apartment building found a gun and drug paraphernalia in the basement. Police were called and investigators say he admitted to the workers that the things were his. Prior to this arrest, Hassel was on probation for
Jamaica, Queens — She was a grandmother checking on the well-being of some friends of hers who are shopkeepers, when she was punched in the face by a man who´s accused of robbing the store where her friends were working. That woman, Eve Gentillon, 69, has now died from the injuries she sustained in the attack. (Snip) The attack, which happened October 15, 2016, was captured on video by a surveillance camera in front of the Sutphin King Deli, on Sutphin Boulevard. The video, in turn, led to police capturing Richard "Kwasi" Springer, 28, who detectives and eyewitnesses say is seen in
A Texas preschool employee has been fired after she posted hateful messages about killing Jewish people on her Twitter account. “Kiss the Palestine ground for me and kill some Jews,” Nancy Salem told a friend in a post from 2013 that is no longer available. Screen grabs of other tweets published by the Dallas Morning News show Salem saying “How many Jews died in the Holocaust? Not enough” followed by a series of hahas. The posts were first highlighted by activist group Canary Mission, which published a report about alleged anti-Semitism among those associated with Students for Justice in Palestine at University of
Two college football players who were suspended from their team last year and saw their scholarships revoked after rape accusations have been cleared by police after authorities say their accuser recanted her story. Nikki Yovino, 18, of South Setauket, NY, has been charged with second-degree falsely reporting an incident and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence in connection to an incident at a Sacred Heart University football party in October, the Connecticut Post reports. (Snip) Yovino, who was released after posting $5,000 bond, faces up to five years in prison if convicted on the tampering charge, a felony, the Connecticut Post
Mika Brzezinski, co-host of MSNBC’s Morning Joe, had an unfortunate turn of phrase the other day. She said it’s the mission of the press to “control exactly what people think.” My suspicion is that this was less a Freudian slip than a simple slip-up. Brzezinski was referring to her fear that President Trump may be trying to control the way people think by discrediting the media — whom he calls “enemies of the American people” — and she lost her rhetorical footing, stumbling into saying that mind control is “our job.” But the misstatement resonated with a lot of people,
An upbeat Hillary Clinton popped back into the political spotlight Friday with a three-minute address to Democrats, applauding them for being the ´resistance´ against President Donald Trump. She urged her party to ´keep fighting and keep the faith,´ while adding, ´I´ll be there right with you every step of the way.´ Clinton´s message was released in conjunction with the Democrats´ meeting in Atlanta, Georgia, where they´ll decide new Democratic National Committee leadership tomorrow. But Clinton´s frequent forays back into the limelight suggest she could still write another political chapter post-2016. She´s called out the new president several times on Twitter, writing simply ´3-0´
A transgender advocate struggled to answer simple questions about the science of gender identity in a discussion about former President Obama’s transgender bathroom decree Thursday on Tucker Carlson Tonight. “Let’s move from the politics to the science,” Carlson said to Zac Petkanas, Democratic National Committee senior advisor, launching into a series of questions about the implications of allowing people to determine their sex. “There’s no biological anchor to sex anymore. It’s all determined by the individual,” he said. “So my obvious question for you is, how do I know if a person’s male or female? Is there some absolute standard people
President Donald Trump has announced that he will not be attending the White House Correspondents´ Dinner this year in a shocking break with tradition. ´I will not be attending the White House Correspondents´ Association dinner this year. Please wish everyone well and have a great evening!´ Trump tweeted on Saturday afternoon. His announcement comes amid growing tensions between his administration and media outlets. Trump attended the dinner in 2011 with his wife Melania where he was repeatedly mocked by then-president Barack Obama. He skipped the dinner in 2016 during the presidential campaign where Obama again took aim at the then-candidate, saying: ´I´m a little
The White House blocked a number of news outlets from covering spokesman Sean Spicer’s question-and-answer session on Friday afternoon. Spicer decided to hold an off-camera “gaggle” with reporters inside his West Wing office instead of the traditional on-camera briefing in the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room. Among the outlets not permitted to cover the gaggle were news organizations President Trump has singled out for criticism, including CNN. The New York Times, The Hill, Politico, BuzzFeed, the Daily Mail, BBC, the Los Angeles Times and the New York Daily News were among the other news organizations not permitted to attend.
WASHINGTON — Democrats have invited immigrants and foreigners to President Donald Trump´s first address to Congress in an effort to put a face on those who could be hurt by the Republican´s policies. Lawmakers typically get one guest ticket apiece for presidential addresses, as they will for Tuesday´s prime-time speech, and the invites often go to family, friends or someone from back home. To send a message to Trump, Democrats have invited the Iraqi-American doctor who discovered elevated levels of lead in the blood of many children living in Flint, Michigan; a Pakistani-born doctor who delivers critical care to patients
Pope Francis continues to argue for two interrelated points that, while seemingly humane, compromise Western nations and expose their citizens to danger. He reiterated his first point earlier this month when he said, “I appeal not to create walls but to build bridges.” Francis has made this appeal frequently, both figuratively (when imploring Western nations not to close their doors against more incoming Muslim migrants), and literally—including by characterizing Donald Trump’s proposal to build a U.S.-Mexico wall as “not Christian.” Francis reiterated his second point a few days ago when he said, “Muslim terrorism does not
In his press conference last week, in which President Trump ranted and raved that he wasn´t ranting and raving, he answered a question about his wife, Melania. "That´s what I call a very nice question," he said, apparently relieved to stop talking about his own policies, before saying the first lady feels very strongly about "women´s issues" and "women´s difficulties." Trump didn´t specify what these "issues" and "difficulties" might be. One presumes that, despite the phrasing, he probably meant things like equal pay and health care, and not what old men usually mean when they cryptically speak about our "difficulties."
On the grassy slope of a fjord near the southernmost tip of Greenland stand the ruins of a church built by Viking settlers more than a century before Columbus sailed to the Americas. The thick granite-block walls remain intact, as do the 20-foot-high gables. The wooden roof, rafters and doors collapsed and rotted away long ago. Now sheep come and go at will, munching wild thyme where devout Norse Christian converts once knelt in prayer. The Vikings called this fjord Hvalsey, which means “Whale Island” in Old Norse. It was here that Sigrid Bjornsdottir wed Thorstein Olafsson on Sunday, September
Tonight is the big night: all across the country, witches will gather to light candles and mutter incantations in hopes of evicting President Trump from the White House: "Men and women from around the world are planning to gather and cast a spell at midnight that will stop President Trump from doing harm while also possibly banishing him from office." (Snip) The idea is that these witchcraft events will continue until Trump is “driven from office.” There is a chant, too. It begins: Hear me, oh spirits / Of Water, Earth, Fire, and Air / Heavenly hosts / Demons of the infernal
Milo Yiannopoulos is neither a free speech martyr nor a conservative. Rather, he is a flamboyant and provocative troll. Ross Douthat accurately describes him this way: [He is] a gay cross-dressing Catholic part-Jewish Brit who likes to boast about his sexual appetite, favors "ironic" racial and misogynist humor, and not occasionally describes the president of the United States as “Daddy.” Daily Beast media columnist Lloyd Grove views him as: ... [an] embattled Donald Trump groupie and alt-right provocateur -- who usually baits African Americans, Jews, women, transgender people, and his fellow gay men at his various speaking engagements in a merry tone of
(Video) - Could France elect Barack Obama president? Not really -- but that´s not stopping the organizers of Obama17, a guerrilla campaign trying to entice the former U.S. president to head to Paris. "It´s totally crazy, but the cool thing is that once you get past that, you start thinking that maybe it´s possible. Who cares that he´s not French? He´s Barack Obama," one of the campaign organizers told CNN. They´ve launched a website and they put up 500 posters of Obama around Paris last weekend, said the organizer. He asked to be identified only as Antoine. They're hoping to get 1 million people to sign a petition urging Obama to
