It’s open war between the
media and Donald Trump

New York Post, by Michael Goodwin

An old proverb sums up how Donald Trump handled the last two days: “The dogs bark but the caravan moves on.” The dogs of the Democratic media were absolutely howling yesterday over sordid, unverified allegations involving Russia, but the president-elect and his team put on a master class in self-defense. They hit back forcefully, with press secretary Sean Spicer calling publication of the allegations “disgraceful” and Vice President-elect Mike Pence calling it a case of “fake news” that aims to “delegitimize the president-elect.” It was a strong warm-up, and Trump then took the stage to completely deny the charges, and repeated the

The enemedia are now busy sowing the fake news, planted by Chief Clown Chuck Shumer, that Trump is at war with the intelligence community, and that war between the POTUS and the IC is bad for both and especially bad for America. It is pure invention: Trump is not at war with the "intelligence community" writ large, he is the principal target of a war launched by the crooks, clowns, corruptocrats and connivers Obama installed as the political leaders of the intelligence community. The Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper, has repeatedly been caught lying to the Congress. The FBI Director, James Comey, is an incompetent fool prone to bespoiling himself in public. And worst of all is CIA Director John Muhammad Brennan, who entered the Obama Regime after hacking Obama´s passport from the State Department, during the course of which a potential whistleblower mysteriously got murdered. He has covered up Obama´s crimes, corrupted his intelligence estimates, and is now personally leaking Trump disinformation to the enemedia. Brennan is desperate to stay out of jail, and is one of the most evil people on the planet.

The media knows that the time is very short to destroy PE Trump lest he begin, indeed, to make America great again. That is something they cannot allow him to do because of the effect it will have on the voters of this country. A successful Trump administration will be the destruction of liberal ideology because the American people will see the devastating results of of the choke hold it has had on the country for the past eight years. They cannot let that happen. There is nothing they will not do to prevent this from happening. They are vicious, vindictive, violent and conscienceless. God protect the man. He is fighting a battle from which most would walk away. They will not stop until they are thoroughly defeated much like every other evil entity in this world.

Is that what just happened here? Was the next president the target of our own spooks?

Wow Mike, Sherlock´s in your gene pool for sure.

This whole article has that uber-phoned in, Howie Kurtz Firm-Grasp-Of-The-Obviousness oozing out between each letter. Is freaking EVERYONE who lives in the I-95 corridor this superior that the rest of us flyover morons need what has happened explained to us (and rather poorly) as if it is impossible for us to grasp due to our toted guns and clutched Bibles getting in the way?

Someone please send Michael Goodwin a Howie Kurtz look alike trophy. He´s today´s winner.

I had the same thought #5, despite Goodwin´s otherwise solid output.

The media have their endless degrees of speculation in which they can claim the moral high ground by (correctly) refusing to publish a story but will gladly talk about that refusal and then offer others´ opinions and their own about the refusal, the reaction to the refusal, ad infinitum ad nauseum.

In the modern press the story is 1% of the flurry of activity as the press talk about each other 99% of the time. By the time the noise reaches a peak everyone´s forgotten what the facts were - which is exactly what they want.

In this case they want the mud to stick to Trump even though there is no mud.

Picking up on #3´s point about the "intelligence community", I´ve been wondering if some of the weakness in their declassified reports is not intentional.

In the first report, the one that cited evidence of Russian state involvement, they basically said that they recognize Russia´s fingerprints because they´ve been seeing them for years. If you think about it, that´s not exactly helpful to the argument that this instance of hacking was an extraordinary event. Then the bulk of the report was boilerplate on cyber security best practices. When I first read it, I thought they were padding a thin argument, but it´s possible that the authors were signalling that hacking is just part of the world we live in, and responsible people take appropriate precautions.

The attack on RT in the second report is so weird it almost seems designed to draw attention to itself. I was struck by how it called out RT´s hostility to fracking as evidence of its anti-Americanism. I mean, fracking is in America´s economic interest, but Trump is the candidate who supported fracking, while Hillary opposed it. Maybe that´s the point that someone wanted us to think about.

The media already lost the war - in 2016, they just don´t get it yet. After their electioneering for Illary, well over half the country doesn´t pay any attention to them at all.

Plus, Trump will go around them, over them and when they get in the way, he will smack them down like an MMA fighter. (Take that, Meryl!)

I think it is important to keep in mind that by "the media" is meant the leftist propaganda outlets that masquerade as sources of "journalism". This last election has shown that, finally, the alternative media is coming of age and producing a new cohort of real investigative reporters.

Wikileaks releases raw data by the ton for anyone to read and form their own conclusions. Sites like The Daily Caller, The Gateway Pundit and Bad Blue along with Drudge post links to news and opinion from a broad spectrum of sources that allow the reader to compare and contrast reporting. Sites like Lucianne allow for citizen input with a broad range of opinion and sometimes some truly insightful and expert observations.

Trump isn´t at war with "the media". He is at war with the dishonest, corrupt, lying propagandists of a (hopefully) dying media that used to be able to force the narrative on one and all and now finds itself becoming irrelevant as people come to see them for what they are and turn them off.

The herd of ducks we call politicians, are all very much alike. Cautious, sneaky, non-committal, careful with every word they say in public, cowardly. The media, accustomed to shepherding this herd of ducks has adapted to them. It has become hard wired to respond and cajole and tend this herd exactly in a very refined way that works over the last several decades.

Suddenly, tossed into the herd of ducks, as "King Duck", is this "Tasmanian Devil" that doesn´t even have the courtesy of wearing a duck costume it is so disrespectful. It just goes in and starts all sorts of wild, unpredictable antics and the shepherding media are totally ill prepared to handle it. Their skills are all tuned into handling the cowardly, conniving, sneaky ducks. The Tasmanian Devil requires a whole different skill set to handle and no one in the modern era media know anything about those kinds of skills.

Guess who is going to win this contest?

Yes indeed it´s open warfare. Game on. And that includes not just the enemedia but the intelligence community too. Together they both colluded to take down Trump. Their big mistake is that they failed. They missed.

That now guarantees that Trump and his awesome team are going to sweep through them like a whirlwind. I see a blizzard of pink slips and lawsuits heading their way.

This is going to be beautiful to watch. They truly have no idea what´s about to hit their fannies.

Trump is too smart for the new media.
CNN was in on the release of the dirt on DT. What does he do? He will not take a question from their reporter.
Trump tweets to everyone. He talks to the American people unfiltered.
He will hold a news conference and get his thoughts to the public with no spin from the Post or the Times.
It´s a beautiful thing to watch the reporters heads explode when they realize who is now in charge.
God bless you Donald Trump.

#12’s so nice I read it twice! I particularly love the description of the “Tasmanian Devil that doesn’t even have the courtesy of wearing a duck costume it is so disrespectful.” LOL. You are spot on about the petrified skill set the enemedia is using in its attempt to shepherd The Donald into the herd. [Ironic that the most famous duck in America was named Donald.]

Indeed, the major media has waged open war on every GOPe president since Richard Nixon. What is new is a people’s president who’s battling socialism in the defense of Americanism. We have a patriot instead of a Uniparty eunuch. That is very new and very exciting.

I wonder how long it will take to see a press conference with reporters asking substantive questions in a respectful manner. I imagine some “journalists” will drop the old shepherding skill set in favor of reviving the traditional skills of a beat reporter. It will be interesting to see which media outlets adapt, and which ones receive the Darwin Award.

Mark Twain advised "Never pick a fight with people who buy ink by the barrel."

But that applied before the internet offered a technology that bypasses the newspapers (and later on the radio/TV news outlets) as middle men and deciders of what is communicated and what is not.

Today Trump and the average citizen have access to communication tools that can be more powerful than the established media.

The media played this last election as if it was still the old days when they owned the streets and had no competition.

But for every media Hillary cover-up and every half-truth about Trump there were thousands of other sources exposing the truth.

In the days of BI (before Internet) there was no way to question the media unless you were there on the scene. Now that they can be checked and cross-checked, their slimy, lazy tactics come to life.

In spite of all of the spy technology employed by Washington, the main source of intelligence tapped by the CIA has always been world media. They have hundreds of analysts who do nothing but sit there, read the news and write summaries. It was that way "in the day" and as slow as government works, it´s no doubt the same today. They feed from each other so it´s no wonder they appear to be coordinated as one leftist front when all they do is repeat bias and propaganda.

Well, here’s a new declaration from outgoing President Obama. He’s declared himself to be the “father of the Tea Party.” In an interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos, the anchor (and former Clinton operative) asked the president what sentence would describe him. Stephanopoulos cited the quote by the late Congresswoman Clare Booth Luce, who said “the greater the man, the easier it is to describe him in a single sentence.” Luce uttered this in 1962 when asked by then-President Kennedy what was on her mind. The 44th president said of himself, “President Obama believed deeply in this democracy and the American

Research has found that being attractive influences many things in a person’s life — their salary, their popularity and grades in school, even the prison sentences they receive. So why not their politics? A recently published study in the Journal of Public Economics concludes that the attractiveness of a candidate does correlate with their politics. They find that politicians on the right are more good looking in Europe, the United States and Australia. The study shows correlation, not causation, but the researchers float a simple economic explanation for why this might happen. Numerous studies have shown that good-looking people are
