WASHINGTON- At the urging of President-elect Donald Trump, the U.S. Senate is prepared to go late into the night Wednesday with efforts to begin repealing the Affordable Care Act. Senators could mount a marathon session in the upper chamber to get the votes needed to start stripping President Barack Obama´s signature health care law. Trump has encouraged senators in recent days to craft the framework for a repeal, even though it doesn´t appear his administration or congressional Republicans have a replacement program ready to go -- a prospect outgoing Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Mathews Burwell said this week

The fix is easy but it seems the GOP want to reinvent the wheel.

I love these guys. Obamacare has been the Mother of All Nightmares for millions of us. We need relief. They can replace it with anything they like or nothing at all if they just get this strangling noose off our necks. We pay massive amounts of money. And we get nothing.

They should have begun their work in 2012.

This reminds me of Obama´s "I will not rest until ... blah blah blah."

Affordable?????
Affordable?????????
My healthcare cost has gone through the roof while the quality of my care has steadily declined, deeply hurting my standard of life.
According to the left-media that´s ok though; I´m just a hard working sap, a patsy bankroll getting fleeced to pay back favors to unions, the entitled class, and lazy people.
ANYTHING would be better than this mess.

The Congress should increase their work hours 8 to 7 every day to pass Trump nominees and agenda. Keep the old Democrats up and working. Tire them out, defeat them.

Cabinet hearings’ only ‘surprise’
is Democrats’ grandstanding

Confirmation hearings for President-elect Trump’s Cabinet picks are now under way and — despite some Democratic posturing — the nominees are acquitting themselves well. The most blatant pandering came from New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker, who essentially launched his 2020 presidential campaign with a broadside against Attorney General-designate Jeff Sessions. It was the first time a senator has ever testified against a sitting colleague at a confirmation hearing, but Booker sanctimoniously claimed he had to defer to his “conscience and country.” (As if Republicans don’t care about either.) Then again, the Cory Booker who accused Sessions of “hostility” to civil

Michelle Obama was left teary-eyed after Stevie Wonder serenaded her with a medley of his greatest hits, singing ´you´ll always be First Lady in our minds´. The First Lady was emotional as Wonder dedicated his musical set to her with special versions of his hit songs Isn´t She Lovely and My Cherie Amour. (Video) Wednesday on CNN’s “AC 360,” veteran journalist Carl Bernstein discussed the relationship between President-elect Donald Trump and his transition team, and the press. Bernstein weighed in on the latest chapter in this relationship involving an unsubstantiated dossier being reported by BuzzFeed and CNN and suggested it was reporting “the best obtainable version of the truth.” However, he also mentioned Trump aide Kellyanne Conway, who was a guest on the show earlier and described her to be a “propaganda minister” because she has acted as an anonymous source in her dealings with the press. “Let’s talk about what reporting is,”

It is fitting that presidents give farewell messages. But given the venue and setting President Obama had chosen, it was fairly easy to surmise that this would be a final political rally and national lecture. I will simply recount the one lasting legacy of Barack Obama that will always be emblazoned in my memory. When I think of him, I will think of this. When I reflect on his promised era of hope and change, I will be drawn to this image. Despite your personal feelings on his coolness, his character, his charisma, or his competence, Barack Obama will forever

Several media outlets pushed this bizarre story yesterday that Trump hired hookers in Moscow for a “golden shower.” You just can’t make this stuff up! According to BuzzFeed and CNN: Trump partook in “golden showers” in Russia with prostitutes on a bed Obama once slept on… Russia then blackmailed Trump, not by asking for money or influence in his business deals, but by forcing him to run for president against all odds and win? Here is the story that the CIA and idiots in the FAKE NEWS Media are pushing on America– Here’s what they want us to believe —

Barbra Streisand is standing with Meryl Streep, who used her acceptance speech at Sunday´s Golden Globe Awards to criticize Donald Trump for lacking empathy and infamously mocking a disabled reporter in 2015. A day after Streep delivered her blistering rebuke of the president-elect, Streisand called in to Hardball With Chris Matthews and expressed her solidarity. I thought that [Streep] said what she said beautifully, Streisand remarked. Regarding Trump´s ridiculing of journalist Serge F. Kovaleski 14 months ago, Streisand added, I completely agree with Meryl. It was a heartbreaking moment and so beneath the dignity of the presidency, let alone any respectful person. Senator John McCain passed documents to the FBI director, James Comey, last month alleging secret contacts between the Trump campaign and Moscow and that Russian intelligence had personally compromising material on the president-elect himself. The material, which has been seen by the Guardian, is a series of reports on Trump’s relationship with Moscow. They were drawn up by a former western counter-intelligence official, now working as a private consultant. BuzzFeed on Tuesday published the documents, which it said were “unverified and potentially unverifiable”.

Sworn Donald Trump enemy John McCain admitted Wednesday that he passed the dossier of claims of a Russian blackmail plot against the president-elect. The Arizona senator issued a public statement amid mounting questions of his exact role in the affair - and how a document riddled with errors and unverifiable claims came to be published. ´Late last year, I received sensitive information that has since been made public,´ he said. ´Upon examination of the contents, and unable to make a judgment about their accuracy, I delivered the information to the Director of the FBI. ´That has been the extent of

President Obama, as he concluded his farewell address in Chicago on Tuesday, called the U.S. Constitution “just a piece of parchment." “Our Constitution is a remarkable, beautiful gift,” said Obama. “But it’s really just a piece of parchment.” “It has no power on its own,” he went on. “We the people give it power. We the people give it meaning with our participation and with the choices that we make and the alliances that we forge…” He later said that as he steps down from the presidency, he plans to play an active role in "the most important office in a democracy: citizen."

John McCain (R-AZ) said, “I don’t know if it’s credible or not but I thought the information deserved to be delivered to the FBI, the appropriate agency of government.” Partial transcript as follows: MCCAIN: After looking at that information I took it to the FBI and have had no further involvement with it at issue. While we learned earlier that John McCain was responsible for handing over the 35-page "dossier" of compromising, if arguably fake, revelations about Trump´s connections to Russia over to the FBI, the identity of the actual creator, who was said to be an ex-British intelligence service, remained a mystery. No longer. Courtesy of the WSJ, we now know his name: the former MI-6 officer, now working for a private security-and-investigations firm "who produced the dossier of unverified allegations about President-elect Donald Trump’s activities and connections in Russia" is Christopher Steele, a director of London-based Orbis Business Intelligence.... and before readers google

Hillary Clinton’s political career is probably over, but just because she lost the presidential election to Donald Trump doesn’t mean she wasn’t prepared to win. Axios reporter Mike Allen has revealed Hillary’s list of prospective nominees for important cabinet posts in her administration, and it includes a number of interesting choices. John Podesta, her campaign chairman who accidentally exposed his entire email account to Russian hackers, was listed as the frontrunner to be Hillary Clinton’s secretary of state. Vice President Joe Biden was reportedly also being considered for the position. Facebook executive and Lean In author Sheryl Sandberg was in
