Wednesday on CNN addressing media reports that he had turned over a dossier containing unverified claims about Russia and President-elect Donald Trump, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) said, “I don’t know if it’s credible or not but I thought the information deserved to be delivered to the FBI, the appropriate agency of government.” Partial transcript as follows: MCCAIN: After looking at that information I took it to the FBI and have had no further involvement with it at issue. By the way, according to some media reports they already had that information, but I didn’t know that at the time. I

Mr. McCain, why didn´t you call Trump and ask him? Mr. Trump is the leader of your party, yet when you get a salacious accusation against him, you, Mr. McCain go running to the FBI, and don´t even have the courtesy of giving your party leader an opportunity to advise you that it is not true. That is the difficulty I have with you, Mr. McCain. You say you are friends, but it seems from everything I have seen that is only your way of getting behind so you can stab them in the back.

Yeah, you get a story that several years ago a private citizen watched a nasty performance in a foreign country and you need to secretly notify the FBI. Senility setting in if this is the best he can come up with.

If McCain doesn´t resign from congress - which he probably won´t - he needs to be removed. A petition for a recall vote should be started immediately.

How would you like to have him for a wing man?
Given his legendary airman skills, he might crash into you, or even shoot you down.

If the Clintons´ mudslinging machine is a Ford, then McCain has been operating his own Chevy-powered mudslinger for as long as the Clintons.

McCain´s model has a spatter shield so Mr Straight Talk Express doesn´t get his suits dirty and he can do his 25 TV appearances per day without interruption (has McCain actually been to the Senate chamber to represent AZ or is he stationed permanently in the Capitol rotunda and the TV studios?).

McCain lets the muck fly often while claiming to be appalled at all the mess.

But like the Clintons, McCain is finding that the 2010s are very different to the 1990s and that his tired tactics don´t work anymore. In fact, the smears and narratives he attempts to push are being debunked rapidly - in most cases within a 24 hr window. We are on to his game and so is Trump.

McCain had better wind his neck in.

He thought he caught Trump in something that would be the last straw, something that would take Trump down. Unfortunately for McCain, it backfired and he´s the one that just opened that curtain for the World to see the REAL McCain. The one who could hardly wait to hand this garbage over to the FBI in hopes it would smear Trump. I can´t wait to see how his Snotty little daughter spins this on FOX tomorrow! I can´t stand either of them anymore!

McCain is an absolute disgrace, and he is disgracing the people of Arizona. He needs to be recalled, which requires a statewide effort and a lot of signatures, but it would be worthwhile. The Republican Party should disown him and ask him to resign his office. Also, he should be censured. War hero aside, he is no longer serving with honor.

What an arrogant and filthy liar he is now. Even Hillary knew this was not a usable report.
There must be something really bad from the past 8 years that could land McCain in the legal soup.

I am guessing he helped Obama arm terrorists in Syria. The same kind of terrorists who have no problems with doing something horrifying on American soil.

I suspect that Trump either knows or will know shortly after taking office. McCain is desperate to avoid that.

Just look at his face. he is white as a sheet, muscles taut, eyes jittery. He in deep trouble and he knows it. Even if he stays as Arizona´s Senator, he will be avoided like the plaque. He just might have committed a felony.

He knows now, for certain, the President, who does not suffer fools or enemies, will be gunning for him big time. McCain is dirty enough to know Trump will eventually get something good on him and will bring him before the mast. McCain´s days are finished.

That alone delights me.

American soldiers rolled into Poland on Thursday, fulfilling a dream some Poles have had since the fall of communism in 1989 to have US troops on their soil as a deterrent against Russia. Some people waved and held up American flags as US troops in tanks and other vehicles crossed into southwestern Poland from Germany and headed toward the town of Zagan, where they will be based. Poland´s prime minister and defense minister will welcome them in an official ceremony Saturday. ´This is the fulfillment of a dream,´ said Michal Baranowski, director of the German Marshall Fund think tank in Warsaw.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.— President Barack Obama signed an order Thursday designating an historic civil rights district in Alabama as a national monument, placing several blocks of a city once rocked by racial violence on par with landmarks including the Grand Canyon. The National Park Service will now have oversight of a downtown section of Birmingham, Alabama — a focal point of civil rights struggles in 1963 against harsh enforcement of laws mandating racial segregation. That would put the former investor at the nexus of agenda-setting inside the Trump White House. Senator John McCain passed documents to the FBI director, James Comey, last month alleging secret contacts between the Trump campaign and Moscow and that Russian intelligence had personally compromising material on the president-elect himself. The material, which has been seen by the Guardian, is a series of reports on Trump’s relationship with Moscow. They were drawn up by a former western counter-intelligence official, now working as a private consultant. Willy Wimmer, a former CDU defence spokesman, said the Washington elite are working hard to make it impossible for Donald Trump to govern. Mr Wimmer accused the establishment of launching a smear campaign against the president-elect just days before his inauguration. In a bid to stop Mr Trump changing foreign policy, Democrats and anti-Trump Republicans are building up a network of resistance to the billionaire’s increasingly warm relations with Russia.
