The White House on Wednesday hit the incoming Trump administration for its lack of transparency, urging it to release more information to rebut claims it says are false, such as reports about the president-elect’s supposed entanglements with Russia. Obama spokesman Josh Earnest said that’s the approach the White House took when confronted with false allegations that the president was not born in the U.S., charges advanced by Donald Trump himself. “There were a wide variety of the president’s critics who were suggesting and propagating conspiracy theories that somehow the president was not born in the United States,” Earnest told reporters. He pointed out
Comments: The insufferable Obama yaps about wanting a smooth transition and yet his hack Earnest just can´t help himself in being the snarky jerk that he is. They are hitting Trump for lack of transparency?? Good. Grief. Pot meet kettle.
"...somehow the president was not born in the United States..." Why then did he spend millions of dollars fighting the release of any of his documentation, and then released a fraudulent birth certificate? We still don´t know where he was born, or anything else about him, since he has refused to release any of his records. The only thing transparent about the demoncrats is how hypocritical they are.
Selective Service Registration form. SWEAR that it is real, please. It is a blatant fake, just like his phony birth ´certification.´ Besides his mother was underage, not married, because his supposed father WAS married to another woman and in this country, even in Hawaii, you can´t do that. Plus his mother wasn´t in this country long enough, under the law at that time, for him to qualify as a natural born citizen. But keep shooting your mouth off and motivate someone in on the con to go public.
Why didn´t Obama correct his publisher who put on the book cover of his first book that Obama was born in Kenya? Did they do that to make him more interesting? He allowed it to stay and did nothing to stop it. Then he put all information about his life under lock and key. Why? To hide something.
The certificate Obama first showed as his BC was easily shown to be BS. And the second one he produced was clearly not a Hawaii birth certificate from 1961. The last document that shut everybody up was subsequently shown to be fraudulent, too.
BJ Bubba, Crooked Hillary, and Huckster Barry... good grief, just get the f out of here already.
The press pushed the fake news meme regarding "where BHO was born" during the 2008 election. It was a red herring to distract America from what the actual issue was: BHO was not eligible to be president because he wasn´t a "natural born citizen."
There are three ways a baby can become a US citizen.
1) Born of two foreign parents-can become a naturalized citizen. Not eligible to be president. 2) Born of one foreign parent and one American parent. Dual nationality. Citizen of two countries. Not eligible to be president. Split allegiance issue. 3) Born of two American parents. Irrespective of where the child is born, this is the definition of natural born citizen per Article II. No split allegiance issues.
The power of fake news. Sen McCain should have sued BHO and not allowed the media to manage the fake news narrative. It’s Not Where You Are Born, but How.
Regardless of where ever he was born, the presented electronic copy of his birth certificate is a forgery. It is not the real thing, for whatever unknown reason they had to change SOMETHING on it, and lie about it.
Once The Zero is history, we may eventually find out what they were covering up.
U.S. Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said he spoke with President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday evening to discuss media leaks of a classified intelligence briefing on Russian hacking that Trump received last Friday. Clapper said in a statement that he does not believe the U.S. intelligence community leaked a private security document alleging Russian intelligence operatives have compromising information on Trump. "I emphasized that this document is not a U.S. Intelligence Community product and that I do not believe the leaks came from within the IC," Clapper said.
President Obama was not supposed to go out like this. Since the improbable election of Donald Trump, he has been trying to salvage his legacy. After all, what could be a greater repudiation of a progressive Democrat’s presidency than Americans choosing Trump as your successor? Obama didn’t expect this. He even admitted at one point during the campaign that if Hillary Clinton didn’t win, he would “consider it a personal insult—an insult to my legacy.” So lately he’s been scrambling, not just to ram through last-minute regulations and executive orders but to convince the country that his presidency has been
Megyn Kelly´s blockbuster jump from Fox to NBC hasn´t wowed her viewers as much as her new bosses at 30 Rock. According to a new poll, in fact, Fox viewers don´t plan to shift stations to catch her new shows on the network news giant. A survey from Morning Consult found that more Republican viewers, in fact, plan to reject TV antagonist of President-elect Trump on NBC platforms. "Republicans and Trump voters are not following Fox News´ former star anchor to her new home base at NBC News," said the poll analysis. It added: Megyn Kelly is headed to NBC News, an
Donald Trump refused to take a question from CNN reporter Jim Acosta today, labeling Acosta´s employer as "fake news." Since then, mainstream media and celebrities are hyperventilating over Trump as if he bears the same viciously totalitarian impulses as, say, Fidel Castro -- and that Trump is SCARY and GOING TO GET THEM. (Snip) Yet back then, Obama´s Communications Director Anita Dunn gave an interview to the New York Times during which she proclaimed Obama´s administration had adopted as policy that Fox News was fake news. Did the New York Times fear freedom of the press had been eradicated? No, the
The search for motives in 26-year-old Esteban Santiago’s shooting spree at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport continues, but the authorities say they cannot find any ties to the Islamic State (ISIS) or other international terrorist organizations. Miami Herald reports that, despite rumors to the contrary, nothing in Santiago’s social media history indicates he was “an Islamic convert inspired by terrorist organizations.” According to the Herald’s law enforcement source, the airport shooting was clearly a planned attack, but Santiago appears to have planned it on his own, for reasons known currently only to himself. By now it is well-known that Santiago approached the
The White House slammed President-elect Donald Trump Wednesday for comparing U.S. intelligence agencies to Nazi Germany, saying the comparison was “deeply misguided.” “As President Obama has said many times, the men and women of our intelligence community are patriots,” said White House press secretary Josh Earnest. He said it was misguided of anyone “at any level” to question the motives of U.S. intelligence operatives. Mr. Trump questioned whether intelligence officials were responsible for the leak of an unverified document with damaging allegations about his activities in Russia, invoking Nazi Germany. “I think it was disgraceful that the intelligence agencies allowed any information that turned
The former British spy who allegedly compiled a ´dirty´ dossier smearing Donald Trump has been revealed. Ex-MI6 man Christopher Steele is reported to be the source of a salacious file alleging the Kremlin had compromising evidence about Mr Trump´s sex life, that it planned to use to blackmail him. Mr Trump has today called the dossier, alleged to have been handed to US Senator John McCain by a former British ambassador, ´fake´ and ´phony´ and Moscow has dismissed the claims as ´utter nonsense.´ Mr Steele, 52, is the director of a private security and investigations firm called Orbis Business Intelligence Ltd, run out
Barbra Streisand is standing with Meryl Streep, who used her acceptance speech at Sunday´s Golden Globe Awards to criticize Donald Trump for lacking empathy and infamously mocking a disabled reporter in 2015. A day after Streep delivered her blistering rebuke of the president-elect, Streisand called in to Hardball With Chris Matthews and expressed her solidarity. I thought that [Streep] said what she said beautifully, Streisand remarked. Regarding Trump´s ridiculing of journalist Serge F. Kovaleski 14 months ago, Streisand added, I completely agree with Meryl. It was a heartbreaking moment and so beneath the dignity of the presidency, let alone any respectful person. What we need more in this world
Senator John McCain passed documents to the FBI director, James Comey, last month alleging secret contacts between the Trump campaign and Moscow and that Russian intelligence had personally compromising material on the president-elect himself. The material, which has been seen by the Guardian, is a series of reports on Trump’s relationship with Moscow. They were drawn up by a former western counter-intelligence official, now working as a private consultant. BuzzFeed on Tuesday published the documents, which it said were “unverified and potentially unverifiable”.
Sworn Donald Trump enemy John McCain admitted Wednesday that he passed the dossier of claims of a Russian blackmail plot against the president-elect. The Arizona senator issued a public statement amid mounting questions of his exact role in the affair - and how a document riddled with errors and unverifiable claims came to be published. ´Late last year, I received sensitive information that has since been made public,´ he said. ´Upon examination of the contents, and unable to make a judgment about their accuracy, I delivered the information to the Director of the FBI. ´That has been the extent of
President Obama, as he concluded his farewell address in Chicago on Tuesday, called the U.S. Constitution “just a piece of parchment." “Our Constitution is a remarkable, beautiful gift,” said Obama. “But it’s really just a piece of parchment.” “It has no power on its own,” he went on. “We the people give it power. We the people give it meaning with our participation and with the choices that we make and the alliances that we forge…” He later said that as he steps down from the presidency, he plans to play an active role in "the most important office in a democracy: citizen."
Hillary Clinton’s political career is probably over, but just because she lost the presidential election to Donald Trump doesn’t mean she wasn’t prepared to win. Axios reporter Mike Allen has revealed Hillary’s list of prospective nominees for important cabinet posts in her administration, and it includes a number of interesting choices. John Podesta, her campaign chairman who accidentally exposed his entire email account to Russian hackers, was listed as the frontrunner to be Hillary Clinton’s secretary of state. Vice President Joe Biden was reportedly also being considered for the position. Facebook executive and Lean In author Sheryl Sandberg was in
Fox News anchor Shepard Smith on Wednesday criticized President-elect Donald Trump for his shouting match with a CNN reporter. (Snip) "President-elect Trump today told CNN´s Jim Acosta the his organization amounts to fake news. CNN´s exclusive reporting on the Russian matter was separate and distinctly different from the document dump executed by an online news property," Smith said during his closing monologue. "Though we at Fox News cannot confirm CNN´s report, it is our observation that it´s correspondents followed journalistic standards and that neither they nor any other journalists should be subjected to belittling and delegitimizing by the president-elect of the
So the website BuzzFeed decided to publish a series of memos that have been floating around for months alleging all kinds of terrible things about Donald Trump. Some of those terrible allegations have to do with efforts to influence the American elections and Trump. Some of them have to do with Trump’s personal sexual conduct. Readers of this newspaper know well not to include me among Trump’s supporters. But the scurrilousness of what BuzzFeed has done here is so beyond the bounds of what is even remotely acceptable it should compel even those most outraged by Trump’s political excesses to come to
