Cory Booker Lays Groundwork for
2020 Run at Jeff Sessions Hearings

There may as well have been a banner hanging in the grand marble meeting room that housed Jeff Sessions’ hearings for attorney general: Booker 2020. After 10.5 hours of questioning on Tuesday, Wednesday’s panel of witnesses felt less urgent alongside Donald Trump’s press conference and Secretary of State nominee Rex Tillerson’s hearings beginning a building away. But Booker, swarmed by far more cameras than any other witness of the day when he entered the room, used the afternoon to take a splashy stand and lay groundwork for a potential 2020 presidential run. “In a choice between standing with Senate norms

I´ve heard better speeches by a high school student. Obama may have been a good orator but an empty suit, but this guy is neither. If he is to go anywhere look for the race card to be used.

He was totally transparent as he has been for some time. Another me-me-me who has conducted himself accordingly. Another pretty mixed race face with delusions of grandeur who will use whatever ladder he finds to continue his climb?

Cory Booker ´thinks´ he laid the groundwork for the a 2020 run. Wishful thinking, at best.

I refuse to refer to him as Senator Booker, as he behaves much like an adolescent in short pants.

Booker is as big of a blowhard, with no accomplishments, like Obama. But the media props him up anyway.

Booker started out with a cheap-shot gripe about how Rep. Lewis (D) Hell, was not given due respect for his nasty and hate-filled unfounded racist remarks as well as his amazing ability to surf the big waves of race profiteering and for his place as a Captain of the Grievance Industry.

I´m too old to hurt anyone but I´d still like to slitch bap that look off of Booker´s face.

Big lesson learned in 2016 was you gotta have a black person on the ticket to get out the Dem black vote. So yeah, he´s got a decent shot at being on the 2020 ticket. Sad but true.

Does the Dem party really think that another black man will get elected after Obama´s disastrous 8 years? There won´t be another black president for a generation because the increased black turnout will not make up for all the whites that will NEVER vote for another black man.

I fully agree with all the previous posts here.

I suspect that we´ll be hearing often in the future from this unaccomplished and very undeserving affirmative action punk. However, having been burned for eight years by the last
affirmative action empty suite, Booker has less than zero chance of becoming a repeat of the Fauxbama fiasco.

Interesting to see that both Booker and Rubio are being tagged with having done performances to further their careers. Political twins. Liz Peek on Fox Business was the latest to remark about this.

Booker is truly an empty suit. He has done less as senator than Obama! I know because I live in NJ and you never hear "boo" about this guy. He´s nothing but a big BS-er, and he showed how despicable he is by taking this run at Senator Sessions. He could have done this in the Senate instead of going public. Just whom does he think he´s going to impress except his dying base which is nothing but deranged moonbats.

Booker likes to play the politics of personal destruction he should be destroyed by the politics of personal destruction. In the future Booker should be treated like a pariah for his unprecedented despicable action by a senate colleague. If Booker is running for president thee word must get out that he is a political hack that is difficult to work with. We do need another Obama clone who would be completely protected by the liberal media and that everyone is racist if they opposed him. Been there done that.

When is Cory Booker going to come out of the closet? Not that I care, but it surely won´t help his presidential prospects. Better to come out on his own than to be "outed" by gay activists.

The Trouble With Publishing the Trump Dossier

There’s no set of rules for when to publish and not to publish an explosive, sensitive story—decisions are made with limited knowledge, and the full impact is often only felt after the fact. Even granting those limitations, BuzzFeed’s decision to publish a dossier full of serious accusations against President-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday raised serious questions. (Snip) That raises a range of potential objections. First, it unfairly forces a public figure—Trump, in this case—to respond to a set of allegations that might or might not be entirely scurrilous; the reporters, by their own admission, do not know. Second, the appeal

More than three-quarters of U.S. law enforcement officers say they are reluctant to use force when necessary, and nearly as many say they or their colleagues are more reluctant to stop and question people who seem suspicious as a result of increased scrutiny of police, according to a new study published Wednesday by the Pew Research Center. The 2014 officer-involved shooting death of a black teen in the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson put the national spotlight on police use of force and officers´ interactions with minorities. Since then, top-ranking law enforcement officers and policymakers have debated the impact of the so-called “Ferguson

WASHINGTON — Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) had barely entered the room for his Attorney General confirmation hearing when he was met by protesters. A pair of men dressed as KKK members jumped up on their seats in the back of the Senate hearing room the moment Sessions walked in, adopting seemingly fake southern accents to troll the controversial senator. BALTIMORE — With just days until Donald J. Trump is sworn in as president, the Obama administration is making a last-minute push for police overhauls in two of the nation’s most violent cities, Baltimore and Chicago, where officers have been accused of routinely mistreating African-Americans. In Chicago, where a city task force appointed by Mayor Rahm Emanuel concluded that “the police have no regard for the sanctity of life when it comes to people of color,” the Justice Department is rushing to wrap up a sweeping investigation into police patterns and practices, prompted by the release of a chilling video

Senator John McCain passed documents to the FBI director, James Comey, last month alleging secret contacts between the Trump campaign and Moscow and that Russian intelligence had personally compromising material on the president-elect himself. The material, which has been seen by the Guardian, is a series of reports on Trump’s relationship with Moscow. They were drawn up by a former western counter-intelligence official, now working as a private consultant. BuzzFeed on Tuesday published the documents, which it said were “unverified and potentially unverifiable”.

We the people give it meaning with our participation and with the choices that we make and the alliances that we forge…” He later said that as he steps down from the presidency, he plans to play an active role in "the most important office in a democracy: citizen."
