(Video) Trump’s Tax Attorney Makes Announcement -Trump’s tax attorney Sheri Dillon made an announcement regarding possible conflicts of interest between Trump’s business dealings and running the country as President. At first Dillon stated that Trump did not believe that paying for a hotel room would fall under the so called emoluments clause which states: “no person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress , accept of any present, Emolument, Office or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince or foreign state.” Dillon then went on to make the announcement

Unless, of course, you have a tax-exempt "Foundation" that pretends to do humanitarian work, so that you can trade favors for millions in cash, like the Clinton Crime Family. It´s nice to see some grownups with ethics in charge again, who don´t believe the purpose of public office is to enrich themselves.

Sounds like Trump could be the first US President to be poorer when he leaves than when he arrives. Might be down to his last $10 billion then ...

The Ruling Class takes care of its progeny. Chelsea Clinton, whose job experience includes a number of short-lived gigs at prestigious and lucrative employers (NBC News, McKinsey & Co, for example) has found yet another very, very part-time job. Richard Morgan reports for the New York Post: Mama Hillary Clinton didn’t make it to the White House, and hubby Marc Mezvinsky has just shuttered his hedge fund. What’s a girl to do? Expedia answered that question for Chelsea Clinton Friday by appointing her to its board. The online travel giant had to increase the number of its directors from 13

San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo, who infamously blamed Donald Trump for bloody anti-Trump riots in his city last June, is facing increasing criticism from residents affected by last month’s floods, which he admitted were a “failure” for the city. Liccardo, a Democrat, and his administration failed to warn local residents when Coyote Creek swelled. One local resident tried to warn his neighbors before toxic waters — including fuel and sewage — inundated their neighborhood. In the end, many of the 14,000 locals who were forced to flee did not realize the threat until it was too late and they had

President Trump "either doesn´t know or doesn´t care" what kind of impact his healthcare bill will have on Americans, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi told CBS on Sunday. "He really doesn´t know what he is talking about. It´s most unfortunate," Pelosi said. The Democratic leader, who infamously urged her colleagues to pass Obamacare in 2009 "so that you can find out what is in it," has slammed Republican´s replacement bill as "Robin Hood in reverse." "$600 billion taken from working class families in our country, middle class and those who aspire to it, to the top 1 percent," she said

Scientists are conducting a massive computer simulation to work out how New York would respond to a nuclear attack in the heart of Manhattan. The three-year, $450,000 project will simulate two nuclear detonations and their effects on up to 20 million virtual ´agents´ each representing civilian, first responder or other official over the course of 30 days. But first they need to input data - a lot of data, taken from disaster reports across the US - to figure out how individuals really react to catastrophe. ´Computational social science is not experimental.´ Professor William Kennedy of Virginia´s George Mason University

SARASOTA, Florida —Hard left-wing professional activists stormed a town hall held by Rep. Vern Buchanan (R-FL) here on Saturday morning, but the successful businessman-turned-congressman held his own and breezed through a rowdy capacity crowd’s efforts to disrupt President Donald Trump’s agenda. Both sides—pro-Trump activists and anti-Trump activists—showed up in force as a capacity crowd of thousands packed into the Van Wezel Performing Arts center with thousands more watching outside. Interestingly, Trump won this district in the general election by 11 percent, so the outsized show of force from leftists is not representative of the feelings of those in the district,

BADEN-BADEN, Germany- The world´s top economic powers dropped a pledge to oppose trade protectionism amid pushback from the Trump administration, which wants trade to more clearly benefit American companies and workers. Finance ministers from the Group of 20 countries meeting in the southern German town of Baden-Baden issued a statement Saturday that said only that countries "are working to strengthen the contribution of trade" to their economies. By comparison, last year´s meeting called on them to resist "all forms" of protectionism, which can include border tariffs and rules that keep out imports to shield domestic companies from competition.
