So the website BuzzFeed decided to publish a series of memos that have been floating around for months alleging all kinds of terrible things about Donald Trump. Some of those terrible allegations have to do with efforts to influence the American elections and Trump. Some of them have to do with Trump’s personal sexual conduct. Readers of this newspaper know well not to include me among Trump’s supporters. But the scurrilousness of what BuzzFeed has done here is so beyond the bounds of what is even remotely acceptable it should compel even those most outraged by Trump’s political excesses to come to
Comments: Later in the piece he says as an experienced editor he´s found there is no source less trustworthy than an "intelligence" source delivering dirt on someone.
From Podhoeretz: “Fake news will become more sophisticated, and fake, ambiguous, and spun-up stories will spread widely,” warned an important American editor at the end of December 2016. His name: Ben Smith. His publication: BuzzFeed.
What an opportunity for an honest journalistic venture. Imagine being the last honest news source. These goons distributing propaganda and "Graffiti News"are merely trashing their own reputations. They are merely signing their own bankruptcy papers.
So, the CIA placed this fake golden showers nonsense into their report and briefed Obama and Trump with totally made up information as truth, information only meant to destroy Trump and then the CIA got caught. Great. So now, whatever intel they claim to be factual will be doubted from here on out. How could that possibly put the nation in danger?
Thank you imbedded Saul Alinsky Marxists who have highest level security clearances and work for the government intelligence services. You´ve served the one to whom Alinsky dedicated Rules For Radicals quite well.
Schumer was absolutely correct. The intel services have proven beyond doubt that they will do anything to destroy Trump and this nation; anything.
The sick trick of saying to someone that "I´m telling you about this [terrible, horrible, disgusting, career-ending, life-destroying] rumor floating around out there simply as a courtesy" was J. Edgar Hoover´s modus operandi and his favorite way of blackmailing people. His successor Jim Comey seems to have learned the trick as well, and CIA Director John Muhammad Brennan has been using it on steroids. Busting this hoax should destroy such corrupt entities as CNN and Buzzfeed -- but there is plenty of blame to go around -- including Jake the Fake Tapper, a host of Washington Post and NY Slimes "reporters," and in the middle of it all, John McCain, Lindsey Graham and above all others, Barack Hussein Obama.

Absolutely right no. 7. The truth was expolsive. People should be prosecuted for this. I would not be surprised if the Dems were not in collusion with the CIA to destroy Trump and force him to step down. I think they have messed with the wrong guy.
The anti-Trump gang have no honor. They immerse themselves in low-life gossip and show no interest in issues which face the nation. Their gossip mongering is destroying their reputations with honest and decent people, which is a majority.
The MSM is patting itself on the back this morning for not jumping on this information that they "have had for months". In truth, Buzzfeed didn´t care about their reputation as much, so they took the bullet by publishing gossip, slander and innuendo that contained known errors. Now the MSM can report on the Buzzfeed article. These "journalists" will cause half of America to distrust the press and ignore everything they report, which is a dangerous thing in a democracy.
We all know that politics is dirty...on both sides. However the Democrat/communist/ Progressive party have taken it to the lowest level. Personally, I hope they keep this up, to demonstrate over and over again to the American people how ugly and evil they truly are. This is organized crime at its highest level. They make the Mafia look like boy scouts. I´m convinced they will self destruct right before our eyes. And I say go ahead punks, "Make our day." God bless President Trump as our new CIC.
Virtually all news published or broadcast today by any outlet is "fake news". It is based on PR and personal bias, presented as "settled science" or plain fact, when it is neither. It is time to recognize this as an age of "yellow journalism", 360 degrees of supplemented literal truth as lies spun and presented in mainly lurid ways to attract eyeballs and elicit social or political rage.
We are being trolled by all sides, by all "causes" and by government at all levels. "Reporters" report what they are told, too lazy and ineffective to gather facts with which to judge the presented story, and too biased to bother "balancing" coverage while pitching their own thinly disguised opinion as the story.
FAR: ´´Virtually all news published or broadcast today by any outlet is ´fake news.´´
Which is why democrats and their propaganda media hate Trump´s use of Twitter so much. They can´t filter and spin anything he says, and he can respond directly to the American people when low-life people do this kind of thing.
Look CNN and Buzzfeed knew the report was fake but released it anyway knowing that the 65 million who voted for Hillary would believe it no matter the denials or even a later retraction or correction. They know that the report will be around for perpetuity now and that´s all they care about. That and delegitimizing PE Trump.
At some point this crosses the line between freedom of speech to slander and eventually to treason. If a 12 year old blogger can jokingly write that Trump took golden showers with prostitutes, and the CIA and McCain verify it as true, the line is crossed, a crime has been committed.
This is just downright NASTY. I never watch or read them, but boycott Buzzfeed and CNN! John McCain is absolutely disgusting for playing role in this. Trump is right, McCain is no war hero, he’s a weirdo.
Sunlight is the great disinfectant that destroys fungus, scatters cockroaches, and sends the rats scurrying back to their rat holes. Buzzfeed may have actually blundered into a good result. Whether intentional or inadvertent, by publishing the memos it has exposed to daylight the entire sordid mess:
The first daylight exposure is the dirty smear campaign against Trump launched by CNN, referencing unnamed and leaked “intelligence” sources for their supposed dirt on Trump. No doubt more leaked info would have followed in a slow protracted drip drip drip by CNN.
The second daylight exposure is the blackmail of Trump attempted by someone within America’s intelligence community when he leaked smarmy descriptions of the charges to CNN. The implied threat was “don’t mess with us or we will leak more.”
Buzzfeed blew the whole plan to pieces by publishing the whole set of fake memos upon which the CNN smear was based, causing the allegations to be exposed as complete fabrications, and showing all the participants for the scum that they are.
Its a new chapter in the Trump Takedown saga. Authored by the media, and members of both political parties who think Washington is their own exclusive members-only private club.
Completely corrupt fake news.
They think the final chapter will be Trump´s resignation or impeachment. They are working up to it. They started with influencing the election, and moved on to overturning election results when that failed. Now they are manufacturing fake news ´scandals´ against Trump.
Total arrogance on their part. Its making it real easy to vote them out, and to turn them off. They will keep doing this garbage until they have their own way or are cast out of power.
If Trump is ever removed, promise every election afterwards will be an effort to remove these corrupt people from power, both parties. As for the media, the most damage that can be done to them is to turn them off. All networks, including Fox. No clicks on internet news sources either. Hit them in the pocketbook. If we ever get reliable honest media ever again, watch them but nobody else.
The other element of these things is that it happened in some remote or inaccessible place so there is no possible way to check the facts. Russia is a good one. Antarctica or the North Pole is another.
CNN´s press release dared Trump to point out where they were broadcasting lies. Beyond the report they were trolled with from the start, how about this?
"...the CNN report noted that both President-elect Donald Trump and President Barack Obama — as well as eight ranking members of Congress — had been briefed regarding potentially “compromising personal and financial information about Mr. Trump.” The report indicated that Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, FBI Director James Comey, CIA Director John Brennan, and NSA Director Adm. Mike Rogers all briefed the POTUS and PEOTUS alike on the allegations;"
No, no they did not. Trump was not briefed by leaders within the IC. That has already been confirmed in other press.
For eight years, U.S. foreign assistance was tied to a leftist political agenda rather than American interests, and it’s now up to President Donald Trump to correct that, Sen. Mike Lee said Tuesday. Lee took particular aim at U.S. support during the Obama administration for the overseas work of nonprofits bankrolled by liberal billionaire George Soros. “Whatever one’s views about abortion, energy regulation, alternative family structures, they are neither core international priorities of the American people, nor essential to American national security. They are domestic political controversies, pet causes of a sort of privileged, globalist elite,” Lee said in the speech
Now that student mobs at universities around America (and elsewhere in the West) have silenced conservative speaker after conservative speaker, it has dawned on a small number of left-wing professors that the public is beginning to have contempt for the universities. As a result, a handful of academics at a handful of universities have signed statements in support of allowing “diverse” views to be heard at the university. These statements are worthless. While some of the professors who have signed these statements might sincerely believe that the university should honor the non-left value of free speech, one should keep in
Since 2002, billions of U.S. tax dollars have been spent rebuilding Afghanistan after decades of war. A big chunk of that money pays Afghan soldiers and police. But it turns out a lot of those troops may not, in fact, exist. We investigate how your tax money is being wasted on “ghost soldiers.” Here’s my interview with John Sopko, who is the inspector general watching over the U.S. taxpayer billions spent to rebuild Afghanistan. Sharyl Attkisson: When you say “ghosts,” what are you referring to? John Sopko: What we’re talking about are policemen, Afghan policemen, Afghan military, Afghan civil servants who don’t
Republican senators could investigate U.S. tax dollars funding liberal billionaire George Soros’ networks abroad “through other means” if the Trump administration’s State Department doesn’t provide answers. Six GOP senators wrote Secretary of State Rex Tillerson in March to ask for a State Department probe into how the federal grants are being used by Soros-funded Open Society Foundations, specifically in Macedonia and Albania, to promote progressive causes and undermine conservative and moderate political leaders in those countries. The State Department Bureau of Legislative Affairs responded not by addressing the question of a probe, but defending the U.S. Agency for International Development, or
Where were we? I’ve given a talk here at the Athenaeum at Claremont McKenna College. A talk about politics on campus. I think campus is often the wrong place for politics. There will be time enough for politics later. Politics should not be allowed to pervade, and poison, campus life. (Snip) I listen very carefully. And I understand each English word separately. But I don’t understand them when they are strung together, by those commenting. Frankly, even some of the individual words I don’t understand: like “positionality.” One student tells me I think the way I do because of my
Judicial Watch is suing to obtain government records regarding almost $5 million in U.S. tax dollars flowing to the “Soros infantry” that is disrupting Macedonia’s political system. What’s more, the government watchdog group says it wants to know why President Donald Trump hasn’t replaced President Barack Obama’s ambassador to Macedonia, Jess L. Baily. The United States Agency for International Development, or USAID, is an appendage of the State Department. It has given $4.8 million to the Open Society Foundation-Macedonia, part of liberal billionaire George Soros’ vast network of global nonprofits, between Feb. 27, 2012, and Aug. 31, 2016, according to Judicial
ST. PAUL, Minn.—State lawmakers want Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton’s administration to explain its apparent faith in a politically connected union despite evidence of fraud since the union won an election to represent thousands of residents who care for disabled relatives in their homes. State Rep. Marion O’Neill, chairman of the Subcommittee on Employee Relations, plans to schedule a hearing to ask the head of Minnesota’s labor relations agency to detail how an affiliate of the Service Employees International Union recruited home caregivers and the state administered the election. “I want to see how many [ballots] they actually did send out,
Corruption on Capitol Hill is “worse than you think,” Rep. Ken Buck, R-Colo., insists. “When you first get here, you think that you are in some sort of fairy-tale novel,” Buck said. “They wine and dine you and they show you just exactly what it’s like if you play the game. It’s a wonderful life.” Things quickly change, however, if “you don’t play the game.” “If you don’t play the game … it becomes a much less conformable existence here,” Buck said. (Snip) Buck said his book addresses corruption present in government today that he was not prepared for after being elected to
Without Trump, Vietnam War veterans would have never gotten their heroes´ welcome. Last month for the first time in more than 25 years, there was a White House celebration of Medal of Honor Day. Twenty-five Medal of Honor recipients joined President Trump, Vice President Pence, Secretary of Defense Mattis and the head of the Veterans’ Administration, David Shulkin, for an Oval Office commemoration of their courage and service to the nation. But was this a sincere gesture or just a cynical play to win over American veterans for a stronger role in Trump’s base of support? In January, a year earlier, in
Springtime may be in bloom, but snowflakes never go out of season at America´s most prestigious colleges and universities. Quivering students at the University of Notre Dame launched a protest last week against the school´s decision to invite Vice President Mike Pence as commencement speaker. Activist Imanne Mondane told the campus newspaper that she and her peers felt "unsafe" and threatened by "someone who openly is offensive but also demeaning of their humanity and of their life and of their identity." In other words: The mere presence of a public official whose policy positions veer from acceptable left-wing norms is
Whether it is female Republican students at places like St. Olaf College and Cornell University being accosted, cursed at, threatened with physical violence and, in the latter case, actually assaulted; Cal State Fullerton Trump supporting students being assaulted by an instructor; a riot at Berkeley; or College Republicans being targeted by name as “fascists” and encouragements made to make their personal information public so that decent folks can “punch fascists”—bullying, intimidation, and threats of violence against conservative students have become staples of campus life. While this phenomenon is an outrage in itself, equally outrageous is the fact that it has been
Writing in the Washington Post today, neo-conservatives Reuel Gerecht and Ray Takeyh propose to send US ground troops to fight Iran and its proxies in Iran and Syria: It is way past time for Washington to stoke the volcano under Tehran and to challenge the regime on the limes of its Shiite empire. (Snip) They´re nuts. It isn´t Iran that we would be fighting: It´s an international mercenary army that already includes thousands of fighters recruited from the 3 million Hazara Afghans now seeking refuge in Iran, from the persecuted Pakistani Shi´ites who comprise a fifth of that country´s huge population, and
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., argued Thursday that President Trump and Republicans in Congress will have "doo-doo stuck to their shoe for a long time" if they pass the revised American Health Care Act (AHCA). The comments came a day after the AHCA received a boost in support from the House Freedom Caucus, which announced it would back the bill. "I think President Trump is really making fools of the members of Congress, of his own party," she said in her weekly press conference. "He´s asking them to vote for a bill that is wildly unpopular in the country,
After a leisurely three month vacation, Michelle Obama has made her first public appearance since the inauguration. Looking refreshed and relaxed after her three-month vacation, the former first lady greeted the audience with a smile and a wave at the AIA Conference on Architecture 2017 in Florida on Thursday. Obama was the keynote speaker at the event, organized by the American Institute of Architects, where she spoke about her time as Chicago´s assistant commissioner of planning and development. The former first lady wore a long black, white and beige dress which showed off her toned arms at the event as she also
House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Jason Chaffetz could potentially be unable to work for up to a month due to a medical emergency. Chaffetz took to Instagram Wednesday to announce doctors at the University of Utah recommended immediate surgery on his foot to prevent a serious infection caused by screws from a former injury. “Almost 12 years ago, I shattered several bones in my foot which required 14 screws and a metal plate to repair,” he said in the caption. “Yes, I wish I could say I was cliff diving in Mexico but the truth is I
Saturday marks President Trump’s 100th day in office, and to celebrate the occasion he got a bit too candid in an Oval Office interview with Reuters. Obviously certain elements of being president are pretty fun, but President Trump has discovered that it isn’t all playing with trucks and pressing a button that makes Cokes appear. Sometimes there’s work to be done, and as it turns out being leader of the free world is a lot harder than running a fake university and playing a caricature of a rich person on TV.“I loved my previous life. I had so many things
Baltimore’s mayor asked the FBI to send in reinforcements Wednesday to help the city get its murders under control. Mayor Catherine Pugh, speaking at a news conference, explained she went to the FBI’s Baltimore office for extra agents to join with police officers in combating a skyrocketing murder count, reports CNN. “Murder is out of control. There are too many guns on the streets. We’re looking for all the help we can get,” Pugh said. The city already has 101 murders for the year, a number not seen in almost 20 years. The mayor’s spokesperson warned the violence could rise
First Lady Melania Trump may be known for choosing simple yet elegant designer frocks, but on Thursday she opted for a more daring olive green ensemble for her latest meet and greet at the White House. The 47-year-old wife of President Donald Trump donned a military-inspired jacket and matching skirt from the Altuzarra Spring 2017 runway collection as she and her husband met with Argentine President Mauricio Macri and his wife Juliana Awada in Washington, D.C. The designer´s ´Feday´ gabardine military jacket with python-print piping costs a whopping $2,995, while the matching skirt featuring asymmetrical buttons added another $1,120 to
So how much of our money did Obama ship to the terrorist regime in Iran? We hear $150 billion. We are not sure. Could be a dollar less, a dollar more. We’ll never know for sure. That’s because his entire administration operated in the dark. That’s how he governed and that’s how he got himself elected, in lies and in stealth, and the news media did the rest. They covered for him. They let him get away with murder – and in this case, that is not a cliché, it’s fact. Today, in eye-popping news, we learn, from the New York Post via
The many versions of Caitlyn Jenner, chronicled in her new book, The Secrets of My Life, have passed through a dizzying series of variations, from a Wheaties box-ready, gold medal-winning Olympian in her former identity as Bruce, to the henpecked husband and paterfamilias of the Kardashian clan and featured player in their reality-television juggernaut, to—at age 65, when she announced her biggest secret to the world—the planet’s most famous transgender woman. (Video)The now 67-year-old Jenner, who has been a celebrity for most of her time on earth and spent the past two years as the nation’s highest-profile activist for LGBTQ
Governor of Ohio John Kasich urged Donald Trump to “take out” the top leadership in North Korea in order to solve the looming nuclear weapon problem. “We are getting very serious that they cannot have an ICBM. There’s a point at which saber-rattling is not effective, and you have to be very careful on how you approach that,” Kasich said at the Monitor Breakfast in Washington Friday. “I think you have to be careful that you get to a certain point. What do I think is going to happen there? I think the THAAD is the first big leverage I’ve
ESPN laid off 100 employees on Wednesday as part of a company-wide restructuring. The struggling cable sports network first announced the layoffs last month. “We have long been about serving fans and innovating to create the best content for them. Today’s fans consume content in many different ways and we are in a continuous process of adapting to change and improving what we do,” ESPN said in a March statement. “Inevitably, that has consequences for how we utilize our talent. We are confident that ESPN will continue to have a roster of talent that is unequaled in sports.” Among those who were
(Washington, DC) — Judicial Watch today released new State Department documents including a declaration from FBI Special Agent E.W. Priestap, the supervisor of the agency’s investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email activities, stating that the former secretary of state was the subject of a grand jury investigation related to her BlackBerry email accounts. (Snip) In the filing Priestap declares under penalty of perjury that the FBI “obtained Grand Jury subpoenas related to the Blackberry e-mail accounts, which produced no responsive materials, as the requested data was outside the retention time utilized by those providers.” On April 30, 2015, Judicial Watch sued
With Bill O’Reilly now gone from Fox News, is high-powered attorney Lisa Bloom looking to help oust another piece of the network’s primetime lineup? Earlier, we posted about comments made by Jesse Watters about Ivanka Trump on Tuesday night’s edition of The Five. [video] “I really liked how she was speaking into that microphone,” Watters said after Fox News ran footage of the first daughter speaking on a panel in Germany. Watters clarified his comment in a statement to Mediaite and in a subsequent tweet: [Tweet] But his clarification did little to stop all the criticism today. From CNN’s Jake
