So the website BuzzFeed decided to publish a series of memos that have been floating around for months alleging all kinds of terrible things about Donald Trump. Some of those terrible allegations have to do with efforts to influence the American elections and Trump. Some of them have to do with Trump’s personal sexual conduct. Readers of this newspaper know well not to include me among Trump’s supporters. But the scurrilousness of what BuzzFeed has done here is so beyond the bounds of what is even remotely acceptable it should compel even those most outraged by Trump’s political excesses to come to
Comments: Later in the piece he says as an experienced editor he´s found there is no source less trustworthy than an "intelligence" source delivering dirt on someone.
From Podhoeretz: “Fake news will become more sophisticated, and fake, ambiguous, and spun-up stories will spread widely,” warned an important American editor at the end of December 2016. His name: Ben Smith. His publication: BuzzFeed.
What an opportunity for an honest journalistic venture. Imagine being the last honest news source. These goons distributing propaganda and "Graffiti News"are merely trashing their own reputations. They are merely signing their own bankruptcy papers.
So, the CIA placed this fake golden showers nonsense into their report and briefed Obama and Trump with totally made up information as truth, information only meant to destroy Trump and then the CIA got caught. Great. So now, whatever intel they claim to be factual will be doubted from here on out. How could that possibly put the nation in danger?
Thank you imbedded Saul Alinsky Marxists who have highest level security clearances and work for the government intelligence services. You´ve served the one to whom Alinsky dedicated Rules For Radicals quite well.
Schumer was absolutely correct. The intel services have proven beyond doubt that they will do anything to destroy Trump and this nation; anything.
The sick trick of saying to someone that "I´m telling you about this [terrible, horrible, disgusting, career-ending, life-destroying] rumor floating around out there simply as a courtesy" was J. Edgar Hoover´s modus operandi and his favorite way of blackmailing people. His successor Jim Comey seems to have learned the trick as well, and CIA Director John Muhammad Brennan has been using it on steroids. Busting this hoax should destroy such corrupt entities as CNN and Buzzfeed -- but there is plenty of blame to go around -- including Jake the Fake Tapper, a host of Washington Post and NY Slimes "reporters," and in the middle of it all, John McCain, Lindsey Graham and above all others, Barack Hussein Obama.

Absolutely right no. 7. The truth was expolsive. People should be prosecuted for this. I would not be surprised if the Dems were not in collusion with the CIA to destroy Trump and force him to step down. I think they have messed with the wrong guy.
The anti-Trump gang have no honor. They immerse themselves in low-life gossip and show no interest in issues which face the nation. Their gossip mongering is destroying their reputations with honest and decent people, which is a majority.
The MSM is patting itself on the back this morning for not jumping on this information that they "have had for months". In truth, Buzzfeed didn´t care about their reputation as much, so they took the bullet by publishing gossip, slander and innuendo that contained known errors. Now the MSM can report on the Buzzfeed article. These "journalists" will cause half of America to distrust the press and ignore everything they report, which is a dangerous thing in a democracy.
We all know that politics is dirty...on both sides. However the Democrat/communist/ Progressive party have taken it to the lowest level. Personally, I hope they keep this up, to demonstrate over and over again to the American people how ugly and evil they truly are. This is organized crime at its highest level. They make the Mafia look like boy scouts. I´m convinced they will self destruct right before our eyes. And I say go ahead punks, "Make our day." God bless President Trump as our new CIC.
Virtually all news published or broadcast today by any outlet is "fake news". It is based on PR and personal bias, presented as "settled science" or plain fact, when it is neither. It is time to recognize this as an age of "yellow journalism", 360 degrees of supplemented literal truth as lies spun and presented in mainly lurid ways to attract eyeballs and elicit social or political rage.
We are being trolled by all sides, by all "causes" and by government at all levels. "Reporters" report what they are told, too lazy and ineffective to gather facts with which to judge the presented story, and too biased to bother "balancing" coverage while pitching their own thinly disguised opinion as the story.
FAR: ´´Virtually all news published or broadcast today by any outlet is ´fake news.´´
Which is why democrats and their propaganda media hate Trump´s use of Twitter so much. They can´t filter and spin anything he says, and he can respond directly to the American people when low-life people do this kind of thing.
Look CNN and Buzzfeed knew the report was fake but released it anyway knowing that the 65 million who voted for Hillary would believe it no matter the denials or even a later retraction or correction. They know that the report will be around for perpetuity now and that´s all they care about. That and delegitimizing PE Trump.
At some point this crosses the line between freedom of speech to slander and eventually to treason. If a 12 year old blogger can jokingly write that Trump took golden showers with prostitutes, and the CIA and McCain verify it as true, the line is crossed, a crime has been committed.
This is just downright NASTY. I never watch or read them, but boycott Buzzfeed and CNN! John McCain is absolutely disgusting for playing role in this. Trump is right, McCain is no war hero, he’s a weirdo.
Sunlight is the great disinfectant that destroys fungus, scatters cockroaches, and sends the rats scurrying back to their rat holes. Buzzfeed may have actually blundered into a good result. Whether intentional or inadvertent, by publishing the memos it has exposed to daylight the entire sordid mess:
The first daylight exposure is the dirty smear campaign against Trump launched by CNN, referencing unnamed and leaked “intelligence” sources for their supposed dirt on Trump. No doubt more leaked info would have followed in a slow protracted drip drip drip by CNN.
The second daylight exposure is the blackmail of Trump attempted by someone within America’s intelligence community when he leaked smarmy descriptions of the charges to CNN. The implied threat was “don’t mess with us or we will leak more.”
Buzzfeed blew the whole plan to pieces by publishing the whole set of fake memos upon which the CNN smear was based, causing the allegations to be exposed as complete fabrications, and showing all the participants for the scum that they are.
Its a new chapter in the Trump Takedown saga. Authored by the media, and members of both political parties who think Washington is their own exclusive members-only private club.
Completely corrupt fake news.
They think the final chapter will be Trump´s resignation or impeachment. They are working up to it. They started with influencing the election, and moved on to overturning election results when that failed. Now they are manufacturing fake news ´scandals´ against Trump.
Total arrogance on their part. Its making it real easy to vote them out, and to turn them off. They will keep doing this garbage until they have their own way or are cast out of power.
If Trump is ever removed, promise every election afterwards will be an effort to remove these corrupt people from power, both parties. As for the media, the most damage that can be done to them is to turn them off. All networks, including Fox. No clicks on internet news sources either. Hit them in the pocketbook. If we ever get reliable honest media ever again, watch them but nobody else.
The other element of these things is that it happened in some remote or inaccessible place so there is no possible way to check the facts. Russia is a good one. Antarctica or the North Pole is another.
CNN´s press release dared Trump to point out where they were broadcasting lies. Beyond the report they were trolled with from the start, how about this?
"...the CNN report noted that both President-elect Donald Trump and President Barack Obama — as well as eight ranking members of Congress — had been briefed regarding potentially “compromising personal and financial information about Mr. Trump.” The report indicated that Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, FBI Director James Comey, CIA Director John Brennan, and NSA Director Adm. Mike Rogers all briefed the POTUS and PEOTUS alike on the allegations;"
No, no they did not. Trump was not briefed by leaders within the IC. That has already been confirmed in other press.
Over the past eight decades, Congress has gradually relinquished its lawmaking role and left it to the administrative state, said a conservative senator at a Capitol Hill event on Wednesday. “Many Americans now feel that they are not in control of their own government,” Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, said during an event hosted at the Federalist Society’s fifth annual Executive Branch Review Conference. “The administrative state is designed to be insulated from the will of the people.” The Utah senator said that one way he is working to combat this phenomenon is through an initiative he has started called Article One Project. “Our
There is an important and damaging cultural divide between the Trumps and the governing system that the president and his closest allies are trying to tame. Call it New York vs. Washington, or business vs government, but it comes down to this: the president hasn’t gotten control over the bureaucracy, much of which is in open rebellion against him. You can see it by the remarkably low numbers of political appointees currently approved by the Senate, as by the torrent of leaks aimed at damaging Trump and his top aides.
Last Thursday, I gave a lecture on the jihad threat at the Grand Hotel in Reykjavik, Iceland. Shortly thereafter, a young Icelandic Leftist registered his disapproval of what I said by poisoning me. It happened after the event, when my security chief, the organizers of the event, and Jihad Watch writer Christine Williams, who had also been invited to speak, went with me to a local restaurant to celebrate the success of the evening. At this crowded Reykjavik establishment, I was quickly recognized. A young Icelander called me by name, shook my hand, and said he was a big fan. Shortly after
This week, a working group of United States senators began meeting on a biweekly basis to reach a consensus on how to repeal and replace Obamacare. We are still very early in the process, but it is clear already that there is much work to be done before we can find the votes needed to reform our failing health care system. The first topic the group focused on was rolling back Obamacare’s Medicaid expansion, a program that has given insurance cards to 11 million able-bodied adults without kids at a cost of $64 billion a year without improving their actual health care
The notion that Russian interfered in the election to help Donald Trump was a John Brennan/James Clapper confection created in an unorthodox way, and defied logic, given that Hillary and her associates had far closer connections to Russia than Trump or his associates did. John Merline writes at Investor´s Business Daily: THE CLINTON FAMILY BUSINESS [snip] Bill Clinton received half a million dollars in 2010 for a speech he gave in Moscow, paid by a Russian firm, Renaissance Capital, that has ties to Russian intelligence. The Clinton Foundation took money from Russian officials and oligarchs, including Victor Kekselberg, a Putin confidant. The
On Wednesday’s Breitbart News Daily, Dr. Sebastian Gorka, Deputy Assistant to President Trump, said the firing of FBI Director James Comey was an example of how “incredibly decisive” the president is. “The recent testimony of the director added that last straw to the camel’s back and proved that he’s unfit to serve, and that he’s lost the confidence not only of the president but of the agents that serve under him,” Gorka said of Comey. “Before I came into the White House, I spent many years training and educating FBI agents, so I have lots of connections with them,” he
May Day celebrations were held all across the fruited plain, with leftist radicals and unionists worshipping the ideals of communism. Communism is an ideology calling for government control over our lives. It was created by Karl Marx, who—along with his collaborator, Friedrich Engels—wrote a pamphlet called “Manifesto of the Communist Party.” (Snip) For those who see Marx as their hero, there are a few historical tidbits they might find interesting. Nathaniel Weyl, himself a former communist, dug them up for his 1979 book, “Karl Marx: Racist.”
Mick Mulvaney, director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), calls it “the biggest story that nobody is talking about.” By that he means President Trump’s executive order to restructure the federal government, making it leaner, more efficient and more accountable. It’s not hard to find federal programs that are duplicative, ineffective or even counterproductive. Most any federal employee will gladly point out examples of government policies that waste taxpayer dollars and make their jobs more difficult than needed. That’s why President Trump, dubbed the “businessman in chief” by Mr. Mulvaney, wants to make the government function more like the private sector.
A source at DDS sends me the original e-mail exchanges that have caused the current crisis. Here they are, chronologically presented: 1. On Mon, Feb 6, 2017 at 9:21 AM, Anathea Portier-Young wrote: Dear Faculty Colleagues, On behalf of the Faculty Diversity and Inclusion Standing Committee, I strongly urge you to participate in the Racial Equity Institute Phase I Training planned for March 4 and 5. We have secured funding from the Provost to provide this training free to our community and we hope that this will be a first step in a longer process of working to ensure that
As we described yesterday, there are some concerning policy elements of the House-passed American Health Care Act, which the Senate would be wise to explore and rectify over the coming weeks. The bill -- and that´s all it is at this point: a work in progress -- repeals and alters significant portions of the Democratic Party´s failing experiment in "affordability." But based on rhetoric from elected Democrats and the Left generally, one might assume that Obamacare was called the "Pre-existing Conditions Coverage Act" (side-stepping the whole "choice and affordability" fairy tale they peddled), and that the Republican bill obliterates those
Following the defenestration of Jim DeMint, interim Heritage Foundation President Ed Feulner called a staff-wide meeting to soothe fears of shaken staffers. No matter who occupied the throne, he promised that the think tank would remain "the leading ideas factory in Washington," a favorite of President Trump and Speaker of the House Paul Ryan. "We were Ronald Reagan´s favorite think tank," Feulner reminisced on Tuesday evening in front of roughly 300 employees packed into Heritage´s eighth floor auditorium. "And today we are, and will continue to be, Donald Trump´s favorite think tank." At once looking to the future and dispelling rumors that
On Tuesday, the Heritage Foundation´s board of Trustees unanimously "asked for and received the resignation of Jim DeMint as president and CEO of the organization," according to a statement from board Chairman Thomas Saunders. The statement blames DeMint for unspecified "significant and worsening management issues that led to a breakdown of internal communications and cooperation." According to multiple reports, Michael Needham of Heritage Action clashed with the former South Carolina senator and pushed for his ouster. This evening, DeMint defended his tenure with the following statement: (Snip) The public statement released earlier is puzzling given that the board of trustees has
While former president Barack Obama hit the links on the first day of their Tuscany vacation, his wife Michelle was spotted taking in the sights in Montalcino almost 70 miles away. The former first lady wore an off-the-shoulder pink top, with white ripped jeans and white sandals as she wandered around the stunning Italian hill town on Saturday, accompanied by members of her security team. Michelle was later seen tucking into some Italian gelato before she climbed into her waiting car. Meanwhile her husband Barack enjoyed a day of golf at the exclusive Castiglion del Bosco course, during the Obamas´
Clearly disappointed to have been left out of the headline heroics from Friday night (courtesy of The Washington Post and The New York Times), CNN has decided that anonymously sourced perspectives on officials´ feelings now warrants reportage. The latest in the sad sage of mainstream media´s downward spiral, as The Hill reports, is that former FBI Director James Comey is expected to testify that he believes President Trump was deliberately trying to meddle in the FBI’s investigation of Russian interference in the presidential election, according to a report late Friday. Despite swearing under oath that he "had never" been influenced
Actor Robert De Niro delivered an outburst of anti-Trump vitriol just before the Saturday night debut on HBO of The Wizard of Lies, a movie in which he plays Bernie Madoff. He told USA Today that Madoff’s story still “resonates” thanks to President Donald Trump and that while what Madoff “did was horrible and awful; monstrous,” Trump is worse than the Ponzi scheme criminal since he’s a “bad con artist” who every day is “doing something that is absolutely — what word can I use? He’s just a slob. He’s a pig.” From the top of the article by Patrick
Notre Dame students are planning to walk out during the Vice President´s commencement address. The students are planning to leave ´respectfully and quietly´ before Mike Pence delivers his speech on Sunday, and are organizing the walkout because they disagree with his administration´s stance on immigration, gay rights and the criminal justice system. The organizers of the walk out are a part of a student group in Notre Dame called We Stand For ND. For four days, this group has galvanized support for their plan through Twitter and Facebook, to stand with the ´vulnerable´ members in their community. ´The participation and
Two leading Republican senators on Sunday said President Trump is making a mistake by failing to more forcefully confront Saudi Arabia over the country’s treatment of women and other human rights issues in the Middle Eastern nation. Mr. Trump’s highly anticipated address in Saudi Arabia on Sunday will focus heavily on the fight against terrorism but will include little in terms of human rights. While administration officials say the topic has been discussed in private settings, critics say that’s simply not enough. “America is the unique nation in history, with all of our errors and failings and mistakes we’ve made
Gender studies is a fake academic industry populated by charlatans, deranged activists and gullible idiots. Now, a pair of enterprising hoaxers has proved it scientifically by persuading an academic journal to peer-review and publish their paper claiming that the penis is not really a male genital organ but a social construct. The paper, published by Cogent Social Sciences – “a multidisciplinary open access journal offering high quality peer review across the social sciences” – also claims that penises are responsible for causing climate change. The two hoaxers are Peter Boghossian, a full-time faculty member in the Philosophy department at Portland State University, and
SOUTH BEND — Vice President Mike Pence on Sunday delivered a call for leadership to the University of Notre Dame´s newest graduates, urging them "to be men and women of integrity and values" and to stand up against the suppression of free speech. "Notre Dame is a campus where deliberation is welcomed, where opposing views are debated, and where every speaker, no matter how unpopular or unfashionable, is afforded the right to air their views in the open for all to hear," Pence told students at the commencement ceremony. But about 150 people, about half students and the other half
On July 8, 2016, 27 year-old Democratic staffer Seth Conrad Rich was murdered in Washington DC. The killer or killers took nothing from their victim, leaving behind his wallet, watch and phone. Shortly after the killing, Redditors and social media users were pursuing a “lead” saying that Rich was en route to the FBI the morning of his murder, apparently intending to speak to special agents about an “ongoing court case” possibly involving the Clinton family. Seth Rich’s father Joel told reporters, “If it was a robbery — it failed because he still has his watch, he still has his
Friday on CNN’s “New Day,” host Chris Cuomo and Rep. China killed or imprisoned 18 to 20 CIA sources from 2010 to 2012, hobbling U.S. spying operations in a massive intelligence breach whose origin has not been identified, the New York Times reported on Saturday. Investigators remain divided over whether there was a spy within the Central Intelligence Agency who betrayed the sources or whether the Chinese hacked the CIA´s covert communications system, the newspaper reported, citing current and former U.S. officials. The Chinese killed at least a dozen people providing information to the CIA from 2010 through 2012, dismantling a network that was years in the making, the newspaper
A Project Baltimore investigation has found five Baltimore City high schools and one middle school do not have a single student proficient in the state tested subjects of math and English. (Snip) It’s a school where only half the students graduate and just a few dozen will go to college. Last year, not one student scored proficient in any state testing.
The latest anonymous leak/news story, the New York Times’s “nut job” scoop, troubles me for at least three reasons. First, it’s disturbing that this kind of leaking occurs. In one week, among other leak-grounded stories, (1) Politico reported, based on a leak that must have originated with someone close to President Trump, that the president screamed at the television in response to a story about the FBI’s Russia investigation and asked aides why it wouldn’t go away; (2) the Washington Post reported that, at a meeting with very few attendees, Trump told Russian officials about confidential information obtained from a
