Trump taps vaccine-skeptic RFK Jr.
to lead safety commission

New York Post, by Daniel Halper

Donald Trump has selected Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to chair a vaccine safety and scientific integrity commission, the vaccine skeptic told reporters at Trump Tower after a meeting with the president-elect. Kennedy Jr. told reporters that he accepted Trump’s offer, but did not provide further details on the commission. The selection is sure to draw criticism as Kennedy Jr. has likened vaccines to the “holocaust.” “They get the shot, that night they have a fever of a hundred and three, they go to sleep, and three months later their brain is gone,” he said 2015. “This is a holocaust, what

Hasn´t Trump expressed some vaccine-causes-autism sentiments?

VERY VERY disappointed. Maybe Trump is indeed a lunatic.

#4: I´m thinking he has made some anti-vaxxer statements in the past. I recall it being brought up during the primaries only to be shouted down. But he has expressed belief that vaccines cause autism in the past.

I´d forgotten about that though. Ugh.

Post #2: Here´s his tweet about it.

Healthy young child goes to doctor, gets pumped with massive shot of many vaccines, doesn´t feel good and changes - AUTISM. Many such cases!

I would hope that someone on his staff could talk out of this horrific appointment.

I have a grandson, now four, that is supposedly a vaccine victim. My daughter and daughter in law swear he was an average toddler prior to a round of vaccines. He goes to autism school and is definitely different than his younger brother who´s never been vaccinated. I don´t live close enough to have more than semi annual visits so I can´t say whether the boy was affected so closely to the vaccine. I´m still doubtful the vaccine caused his issues but not totally close minded. I do know for sure that rfk is a nutcase.

This is the first appointment that I think Trump is a little whacky on. However, it may be good to discuss the lobbyist driven demand that every kid get dozens of injections of foreign bodies in order to go to a worthless school system. Several of them have actually been proven, over time , to be useful, and certainly have a scientific basis in immunology. Benefit and risk are the deciding factors.

There are more than a few pediatricians who will never ever state it publicly but would welcome much more testing of the entire vaccine regimen for the youngest children. Big Pharma does not want this and spends millions discrediting anyone who even questions it. Please consider why this might be...

If there is no problem, then more scrutiny and investigation would only be a good thing. It would silence fruitcakes like Kennedy forever, right??

A safety commission? As long as Trump gets to sign off on anything they come up with, I think it will be alright.

My problem with vaxx´s is that they load up a newborn with so many chemicals that some vulnerable babies do indeed short circuit.

Stretching out the schedule while the baby´s brain is still developing would be a whole lot better.

WHY the need to inject a little baby with all of those vaccinations?

I think it´s good to have a "nutcase" on this - someone to rattle those drug thugs.

#13, are you serious?

Vaccinations are literally the only thing standing between the human race and the horrific death toll of centuries past from viruses like smallpox, yellow fever, polio, hepatitus A & B, and more. Many vaccines protect against bacterial infections which can, at least theoretically, be countered by antibiotics, although antibiotic resistance is now a huge problem. Influenza in 1918 killed between 50 and 100 million people.

Is there so little understanding of the huge plagues of deadly and crippling diseases which rampaged through even "civilized" society until one or two generations ago? Perhaps you are too young to have gone to school with children with leg braces or in wheel chairs from polio, and they were the ones who could get out of the iron lungs. I went to school with many of them, will never forget.

Do you imagine that this is done for some kind of insane fun or to intentionally harm little children?

I got all the childhood vaccinations, and get a flu vaccine each year, will be getting a pneumonia vaccination soon, and have gotten yellow fever, Hep A and B, and many other vaccinations to travel to other countries in my work. This is life-saving science, and the claims against it are, at best, highly questionable. Multiple scientific studies have found no link between vaccinations and autism.

Reply 16 - Posted by: suejeanne, 1/11/2017 2:26:27 AM     (No. 11103740)

hi -

yes, I am serious -

why has the regime of vaccinations changed so dramatically from when we were little.

I do not have the extensive experience in getting shots as you have. I was born in Pasadena, California in 1952 and had all the usual vaccinations of that time - plus the polio shots were developed I think when I was in the 1st or 2nd grade and we had those at school, followed up with sugar cubes soaked in some pink medicine.

I think there are many of us out here who are not anti-vaccine - don´t make us out to be ignorant cave-dwellers who have no idea of the manifold glories of science battling disease and the part vaccines have played.

We want to know WHY little children in this generation are being inundated with vaccination regimens that may be causing harm.

Why the vicious attacks on Jenny McCarthy who was simply and desperately trying to help her child? Even Katrina Van Den Heuvel got into the act of trying to keep Jenny McCarthy off "The View" because she might espouse "anti-vaccine views".

Jenny McCarthy was not pushing an anti-vaccine views but simply wanting a closer look at the vaccination programs. Do a comprehensive study.

The arrogance of many doctors is astounding and really rather unhelpful when you are in the midst of trying to help a loved one.

If you want to get all those shots and they don´t cause you a problem, you are a full-grown adult, but just think about WHY is it necessary to assault a little child´s system with this intensified, accelerated system of vaccination?

Reply 17 - Posted by: dvc, 1/11/2017 2:56:37 AM     (No. 11103749)

I have absolutely no doubt that antivaccine people mean well, but so did a lot of people who harmed huge numbers for other ostensibly wonderful causes. RFK Jr. being on this side does not help the credibility either. The man is a loon from a family of loons.

"intensified, accelerated"....

I and probably you, got the same vaccinations. What is the basis of this assertion of "intensified, accelerated"? Children have being vaccinated for many decades, only recently comes this unscientific, unproven, no data claim that "suddenly something changed and now it is horrible and harming kids".

I call it baseless baloney. Multiple scientific looks have found nothing. How many people are taking tons of illegal drugs and then having kids? I´d believe that smoking too much dope or coke or crack or Ecstacy or bath salts or whatever will get you an autistic kid before I believe it is vaccinations. How many are on the latest new wave nutball diet with various protein and vitamin deficencies while pregnant? How about smoking tobacco or crack or weed while pregnant? "I only did it twice, couldn´t cause harm, right?"

Please, I mean no personal offense, but this is unscientific, emotional claptrap and the missing of vaccinations causes serious harm to individuals and society - and that is on extremely solid scientific footing, with millions and millions of actual dead to prove it.

Sharpton’s “We Shall Not Be Moved” march has piqued the interest of fewer than 1,000 people on Facebook, as of publication. A rival event, the Women’s March on Washington, had already secured 175,000 RSVPs, with an additional 250,000 people saying they’re interested in attending. Two key organizers of the Women’s March are former executive directors of National Action Network, the civil-rights nonprofit Sharpton founded in 1991. Thousands of President Obama appointees and hundreds of Hillary Clinton campaign staffers are struggling to look for employment after Democrats lost the White House in November. Since Donald Trump won the presidential election, there have been far fewer employment opportunities for Democrats in the Washington, D.C. area, Politico reported over the weekend. There is less demand for Democratic services now that 4,000 White House administration jobs are no longer available for the staff of 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Staffing opportunities on Capitol Hill have also dwindled after Democratic Senate candidates like Russ Feingold and Katie McGinty lost in 2016. “It feels

Ms. Streep campaigned for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election. Some conservative commentators immediately criticized her decision to bring politics so vividly into the show.
