he saga of the painting hung in the Capitol Building depicting a policeman as a wild boar continued on Tuesday when the Congressional Black Caucus had a ceremony rehanging the "work of art" after Representative Duncan Hunter removed it. The painting won first prize in an art contest held in Rep. Lacy Clay´s district. No sooner had it gone up than Rep. Doug Lamborn, a Republican from Colorado, took it down again. This elicited a specific threat of violence from the chairman of the CBC, Rep. Cedric Richmond. "We may just have to kick somebody´s ass and stop them," said

Comments:
It looks like the Democrats are grooming a young racist in Richmond to carry out their evil deeds. I utterly despise the low class racist reprobates in the Democrat party. There is not one thing I can think of that they have done that is good for this country. All they do is bicker, fight, cause chaos and dissension. I´m just sick of them!!

I am also upset that it was removed; it should have been torched.

"The Kid" may have a first amendment right to express himself by painting the picture. He has no "right" to have it displayed in the halls of the United States Congress.

That little buttercup had better toughen up.

BT (Before Trump) the painting would have hung forever and not a syllable would have been uttered by a Rebublican about it. Nw, AT (After Trump) no less than 2 REbublicans have physically removed the painting. The bigger issue here is Rebublicans no longer fear being labeled a racist. The Congressional Colored Caucus is going it only weapon. The times are a changing.

Duncan Hunter should have assigned a Woman to handle getting rid of the Painting. He was like a Bull in a China Shop, taking it down and admitting he did it. Every woman knows the way to handle it would be to say nothing and then one day it would be missing, never to be seen again and not a single Soul would have any idea what happened to it. Done!

"Dis about da Constitution." - Rep. Cedric Richmond, chairman of the CBC.

Making a wild guess, I bet Cedric is refering to our right to freedom of expression. No doubt Cedric considers spray-painting "Black Lives Matter" on anything but Cedric´s Cadillac is also protected by the 1rst Amendment. Given that, someone should print "Black Lives Matter" in paint stripper on Lacey Clay´s favorite piece of art.

I agree with OP.

As for what Duncan Hunter might have done were DJT not been elected, (#7), you must not know Duncan Hunter! He´s a Marine veteran. Takes after his great Dad.

Too bad the CBC is so racist and full of hatred and disdain for Law Enforcement.

We need to start calling Congress and tell them to get that abomination off the wall, permanently.

President Obama will tell Americans Tuesday night in his farewell address that actively engaged citizens are the key to creating a more perfect union. “This is the great gift our Founders gave us,” Mr. Obama will say, according to excerpts of his speech released by the White House. “The freedom to chase our individual dreams through our sweat, toil, and imagination – and the imperative to strive together as well, to achieve a greater good.” He’ll speak to nearly 20,000 supporters in Chicago, where, he has said, “it all began.” Among the warmup entertainment are singer Eddie Vedder and a 24-member children’s

Donald Trump has selected Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to chair a vaccine safety and scientific integrity commission, the vaccine skeptic told reporters at Trump Tower after a meeting with the president-elect. Kennedy Jr. told reporters that he accepted Trump’s offer, but did not provide further details on the commission. The selection is sure to draw criticism as Kennedy Jr. has likened vaccines to the “holocaust.” “They get the shot, that night they have a fever of a hundred and three, they go to sleep, and three months later their brain is gone,” he said 2015. “This is a holocaust, what

Al Sharpton will be marching on Washington on Martin Luther King Day, just five days before President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration. It may be a lonely walk. Sharpton’s “We Shall Not Be Moved” march has piqued the interest of fewer than 1,000 people on Facebook, as of publication. A rival event, the Women’s March on Washington, had already secured 175,000 RSVPs, with an additional 250,000 people saying they’re interested in attending. Two key organizers of the Women’s March are former executive directors of National Action Network, the civil-rights nonprofit Sharpton founded in 1991. Thousands of President Obama appointees and hundreds of Hillary Clinton campaign staffers are struggling to look for employment after Democrats lost the White House in November. Since Donald Trump won the presidential election, there have been far fewer employment opportunities for Democrats in the Washington, D.C. area, Politico reported over the weekend. There is less demand for Democratic services now that 4,000 White House administration jobs are no longer available for the staff of 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Staffing opportunities on Capitol Hill have also dwindled after Democratic Senate candidates like Russ Feingold and Katie McGinty lost in 2016. “It feels

Barbra Streisand is standing with Meryl Streep, who used her acceptance speech at Sunday´s Golden Globe Awards to criticize Donald Trump for lacking empathy and infamously mocking a disabled reporter in 2015. A day after Streep delivered her blistering rebuke of the president-elect, Streisand called in to Hardball With Chris Matthews and expressed her solidarity. I thought that [Streep] said what she said beautifully, Streisand remarked. Regarding Trump´s ridiculing of journalist Serge F. Kovaleski 14 months ago, Streisand added, I completely agree with Meryl. It was a heartbreaking moment and so beneath the dignity of the presidency, let alone any respectful person. Turning attention away from her and toward Donald J. Trump, Meryl Streep used her acceptance speech for the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the Golden Globes to call out the president-elect for appearing to mock a disabled New York Times reporter in 2015, and warned that a free press would need to be defended. Ms. Streep campaigned for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election. Some conservative commentators immediately criticized her decision to bring politics so vividly into the show. But the room roundly applauded her remarks, which included a plea to support the Committee to Protect Journalists.

Professor Michael Eric Dyson thinks that white people should have an ‘Individual Reparations Account’ to make donations to black institutions and individuals. (Snip) I agree with reparations, but maybe this is my white privilege speaking: I can’t imagine actually doing that. That is what I meant by an I.R.A.: an individual reparations account. You ain’t got to ask the government, you don’t have to ask your local politician — this is what you, an individual, conscientious, “woke” citizen can do. But charity can’t be the end of it, right? She is among the most famous and easily recognized women in the world, but first lady Michelle Obama feels "invisible" when she steps off her official stage, according to her best friend and ally in the White House. And the reason is a remarkable one considering that she and her husband, President Obama, are America´s first African-American presidential couple. According to top adviser Valerie Jarrett, Obama is invisible because she is black. In her new book about the importance of black mothers in America and how they walk a tightrope in society, White House correspondent April Ryan revealed that Jarrett

The Gold Star father who blasted Donald Trump at the Democratic convention this summer is returning to the national stage this week, firing off a letter demanding the Senate reject Sen. Jeff Sessions, Mr. Trump’s attorney general nominee. Khizr Khan, the Pakistan-born father of a U.S. Army captain killed in the Iraq war, said his son’s service was a rejection of people like Mr. Sessions, who he accused of associating with racially divisive and ‘intensely anti-Muslim” groups. Mr. Khan also said Mr. Sessions has defended proposals “that would single Muslim immigrants out for discriminatory treatment on the basis of their religious beliefs.” “My
