With Republicans now controlling both chambers of Congress and the executive branch, many Democrats are struggling to find work in a city now dominated by the GOP.With President-elect Trump´s inauguration just around the corner, thousands of President Obama’s appointees and hundreds of Clinton campaign staffers are looking to enter the D.C. job market—where the demand couldn’t be any lower, according to a report in Politico. The Trump tornado is tearing up post-election planning around the Beltway. How about trying to get a real job. Plenty of construction work out there. Welders, plumbers, electricians, carpenters. America´s looking for truck drivers too.

Better yet, "you want fries with that"? That might be a better fit for your skill set.

Unfortunately for them, there isn´t much demand anymore for what they used to do. As Barkoulis writes, demand for Republican operatives is "more robust." No kidding. As Patel says in the postscript, “Never count on a Democratic administration.” But some nobodies keep voting for them, probably regular lotto suckers.

They should have to work one of the ‘dirty jobs’ shown on Mike Rowe’s show. Worm diggers, sewer pipeline cleaners, or animal hide tanners would be a good way to meet real Americans for genteel, inside-the-beltway liberals.

I reacted in anger to this headline.

Those poor unemployed agents of our economic deterioration can join so many people I know, especially young people, struggling with part-time service jobs that pay squat, struggling with crushing student loans, frightened by health care costs, and one car payment away from being financially stranded,at the mercy of their parents´ support once again.

Grrr

Great! They will get first hand experience as to WHY Trump won, the frustration of the middle class who can´t get work. They will reap the benefits of their idiotic policies.

Meanwhile their jobs will be taken by a lot of hard working Conservatives who will probably get 3 times as much work done.

The election’s over – but Hillary Clinton’s emails are still coming to light. And they help illustrate why the FBI declared she was “extremely careless” with the information flowing across her secret server. A new batch of messages released by the State Department on Tuesday shows the former secretary of state and her team routinely shared her upcoming schedules, talking points and sensitive items – such as her iPad password – via the homebrewed system. Other newly revealed emails, which were posted as the result of litigation, show Clinton’s top advisers griping about her during her time as secretary of State; an

Donald Trump has hit back at Meryl Streep calling her a ´Hillary lover´ after her Golden Globes acceptance speech took aim at the president-elect. Streep, who was honored with the Cecil B. DeMille lifetime achievement award on Sunday, slammed Trump in front of a room of stunned Hollywood stars. She said the moment he mocked and humiliated a disabled reporter ´broke her heart´ as Streep labelled it the year´s most stunning performance. Barbra Streisand is standing with Meryl Streep, who used her acceptance speech at Sunday´s Golden Globe Awards to criticize Donald Trump for lacking empathy and infamously mocking a disabled reporter in 2015. A day after Streep delivered her blistering rebuke of the president-elect, Streisand called in to Hardball With Chris Matthews and expressed her solidarity. I thought that [Streep] said what she said beautifully, Streisand remarked. Regarding Trump´s ridiculing of journalist Serge F. Kovaleski 14 months ago, Streisand added, I completely agree with Meryl. It was a heartbreaking moment and so beneath the dignity of the presidency, let alone any respectful person. Turning attention away from her and toward Donald J. Trump, Meryl Streep used her acceptance speech for the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the Golden Globes to call out the president-elect for appearing to mock a disabled New York Times reporter in 2015, and warned that a free press would need to be defended. Ms. Streep campaigned for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election. Some conservative commentators immediately criticized her decision to bring politics so vividly into the show. But the room roundly applauded her remarks, which included a plea to support the Committee to Protect Journalists.

Professor Michael Eric Dyson thinks that white people should have an ‘Individual Reparations Account’ to make donations to black institutions and individuals. (Snip) I agree with reparations, but maybe this is my white privilege speaking: I can’t imagine actually doing that. That is what I meant by an I.R.A.: an individual reparations account. You ain’t got to ask the government, you don’t have to ask your local politician — this is what you, an individual, conscientious, “woke” citizen can do. But charity can’t be the end of it, right? And the reason is a remarkable one considering that she and her husband, President Obama, are America´s first African-American presidential couple. According to top adviser Valerie Jarrett, Obama is invisible because she is black. In her new book about the importance of black mothers in America and how they walk a tightrope in society, White House correspondent April Ryan revealed that Jarrett

The Gold Star father who blasted Donald Trump at the Democratic convention this summer is returning to the national stage this week, firing off a letter demanding the Senate reject Sen. Jeff Sessions, Mr. Trump’s attorney general nominee. Khizr Khan, the Pakistan-born father of a U.S. Army captain killed in the Iraq war, said his son’s service was a rejection of people like Mr. Sessions, who he accused of associating with racially divisive and ‘intensely anti-Muslim” groups. Mr. Khan also said Mr. Sessions has defended proposals “that would single Muslim immigrants out for discriminatory treatment on the basis of their religious beliefs.” “My
