What Exactly Is Trumpism?
National Review, by Victor Davis Hanson

Original Article

Donald Trump is hated by liberal Democrats because, among other things, he is likely to reverse the entire Obama project. And, far worse, he probably will seek fundamental ways of obstructing its future resurgence — even perhaps by peeling off traditional Democratic constituencies. The proverbial mainstream media despise Trump. Culturally, he has become a totem of their fears: coarseness, ostentatiousness, flamboyance, and the equation of big money with taste and success. His new approach to the media may make them irrelevant, and they fear their downfall could be well earned. The Republican Washington–to–New York establishment is alienated by Trump. It

Excellent article! Nominate for a "Must Read."

Trump remembers and reminds us of American exceptionalism. WTP want that back with a practical, common sense approach to the world. He also learned the lesson of WWII, if you´re going to fight, fight to win, preferably by portraying strength rather than brute force. But if it comes to brute force, we can and will use it.

President Trump’s selection of Army Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster to be his national security adviser has been widely praised, and rightly so. McMaster is a remarkable man cut from the same cloth as the new secretary of defense, Jim Mattis. Both are inspirational leaders. Both are thoughtful, well-read “soldier-scholars.” Both are clear thinkers and straight talkers. Indeed, McMaster’s intense, fierce outspokenness has not always endeared him to his superiors. McMaster’s story has been recounted many times in recent days. A native of Philadelphia, he is a 1984 graduate of the US Military Academy at West Point. Later, he earned a PhD

The country´s premier conservative gathering welcomes a distinctly populist president. Leaders in the Democratic Party convene to chart a new direction with a fresh figurehead. Governors trek to Washington seeking to influence pending federal policy that could impact their cash-strapped states. And an outpouring of progressive resistance continues to simmer at congressional town hall meetings, leaving the right scrambling to counter with their own demonstrations in support of Donald Trump. This week is shaping up to be one of the most active and politically significant of the year for both major parties, as well as the activists that keep them honest.

With control of all three branches of government, Republicans are set on unraveling President Obama´s education legacy and pushing an unprecedented amount of funding and authority back to states. Leading this charge is Rep. Virginia Foxx, the newly appointed chairwoman of the House Education and the Workforce Committee. Her mission, as she told RealClearPolitics in an interview for the new episode of the “First 100 Days” podcast series, is to make the federal government “as minimal as possible.” In fact, the North Carolina Republican has no qualms about abolishing the entire Department of Education. “If the Lord put me in charge, I

Donald Trump’s stunning election win has some Californians so upset that they want to secede from the United States. A group calling itself Yes California has organized a petition drive for a referendum in the spring 2019 election to demand a convention of states to approve “Calexit,” which would recreate the Republic of California of 1850. President Trump has dismissed the constituent backlash against Republican lawmakers at recent town halls as "planned out by liberal activists." But with policy items GOP lawmakers have been pushing for years—namely, the repeal of Obamacare—hanging in the balance, conservative groups say they know better. They have seen this script before—seven years ago, to be precise. The Obama administration and Democratic congressional leaders wrote off the Tea Party protests in the spring of the new president´s first term as "astroturf" organizing, manufactured to look like a grassroots movement. Democratic lawmakers were caught off guard by raucous demonstrations at town halls in the
