At one point in President Obama´s interview with ABC News that aired over the weekend, George Stephanopoulos noted that "the Democratic Party got pretty hollowed out on your watch, about 1,000 seats lost in the Congress, Senate, governors, state houses." Then he asked: "Is that on you?" It was a good question. Since Obama took office, Democrats´ fortunes have plummeted. The party lost 900 seats in state legislatures, 12 governorships, 69 House seats and 13 Senate seats. Clearly, whatever leadership Obama provided, it wasn´t helping Democrats connect with voters across the country. So what was Obama´s response? At first, he
Does anyone expect this "Cool" one to except any blame. In his interview he even pulled GWB into his mess. Can´t wait for his speech tonight, lying once again about all he has accomplished. The man talks with a Fork Tongue!
Yeah but he really did stimulate the economy. Probably spent over three billion on fund raisers, vacations for himself & family and golf. I don´t know about you but that stimulates the hxll out of me!!!
If it were not for failures, the Clown Prince would be leaving no fingerprints at all on this Earth. The democrats own you, Stinky, and their failure is a direct result of your stupid attempts at dictatorship. Having the IRS enforce your failed attempt at health care control and assessing a fine for not paying was the final straw for me. I have fought for this country for too many years to have a skinny, brain dead, arrogant Kenyan give me orders and tell me I have to do something.
Just skating through, kicking the can down the road at great cost to the nation, its well being and its status in the world as the last standard bearer of economic and moral decency in the world.
We are not yet ´like every other country´ wallowing in graft and corrupt politicians taking advantage of people yearning to breathe free yet, but with no pushback from those should have exposed it, we have been severely weakened.
He failed to take us down, but he made a tremendous effort attempting to take away our remaining modesty and virtue.
I wish people would stop trying to blame Obambi for stuff. He has been just too busy saving the world and making sure its a better [lace for me and you. We are lucky to have a Messiah like Obambi. He is just so perfect. I know cause he tells us he is all the time.
Business started crumbling the day this guy opened his trap standing behind a little podium with the seal of the Office of the president Elect attached to it. Remember this. Hussien was saying then how business was going to be taxed more. And pay for health care. Before the jerk was sworn in in a Koran, the economy started to tank. And the media and hussien blamed GWB. He takes no blame. I just wish he would move back to kenya
His comments are absolutely cringe-worthy. He is one of those people you meet at a country club charity event who shoots his mouth off constantly saying the most inappropriate things and his poor assistants are constantly tugging on his arm trying to shut him up. But he just can´t help himself. People keep walking away and trying to avoid him because he seems to effervesce nausea due to his pitiful inability to see the grotesque embarrassment he is causing everyone in the room, particularly to his oblivious self.
And so it starts, the interviews, the self analysis, the water thin excuses. Many more to come, all with slightly different takes on failure, but never touching on reality´s truth.
The guy will have lots of free time to read all the brutal, accusatory articles that also are going to be written. His reaction will probably be more public appearances searching for the love. Michelle, bitter bunny she, won´t be much help.
Fake president interviewed by an equally fake journalist. At least Obama had his boots cleaned by Stephanopoulos. Although New Zealand immigration authorities may question shoe polish on George´s tongue.
Sadly, this is what we are told is news by ABC and their media ilk.
BO is dangerously mentally ill. It is fortunate we are not worse off that we are. What is scary is that the remnants of the dem party and the media supported him unflinchingly.
The backfire in 2010 was directly linked to BOCare and other dem overreach. Only a crazy person could not see that. Now, if you are a dem, you might see that as misguided and unfair. I think the dems got off light in 2010 and it still baffles me that BO got reelected. However, the CAUSE of the shift in the choice of the electorate was in the White House (and it wasn´t Biden) and the dems in Congress.
This blindness to reality is something that anyone that has dealings with BO in the future should WELL remember.
Immigration: The deportation rules announced this week by Department of Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly were greeted with the expected outrage from the usual suspects. But since when is enforcing the law a crime? In this case, the law that Kelly plans to enforce is the 1965 Immigration and Nationality Act, which was approved by 52 Democrats in the Senate and 202 Democrats in the House in a Democrat-controlled Congress and was signed into law by President Johnson, a Democrat. That hasn´t stopped today´s Democrats from decrying the DHS memo as obscene and horribly un-American. New Jersey Sen. Robert Menendez
Socialism: Want to lose weight fast? Don´t worry about the latest fad diet. Just move to Venezuela. There, the new Socialist Diet has caused the population to lose millions of pounds in 12 months. Unwillingly, of course. A new study of Venezuela´s stunning decline under Hugo Chavez´s socialist model, still followed faithfully by his lap dog successor, Nicolas Maduro, reports that the average Venezuelan lost 19 pounds in the last year. Today, the 2016 Living Conditions Survey finds, 32.5% of Venezuelans eat only once or twice a day, up from 11.3% just one year ago. And 93.3% of all people don´t
Hope And Change: You´d never guess this from the end-of-the-world treatment President Trump gets in the mainstream press, but his election has unleashed a wave of optimism about the economy we haven´t seen in more than a decade. This is huge news that has big implications about economic growth. The latest business leaders´ survey from JPMorgan Chase finds a dramatic increase in optimism among the 1,400 middle-market executives polled. It found that 80% of these executives are optimistic about the economy, which is nearly double the share expressing optimism just one year ago. And it´s the highest level since this survey
A public health miracle has been engineered in a socialist country. Venezuelans have reportedly lost 19 pounds on the average from the effects of socialism in just one year, according to Fox News. And that figure may be an underweight understatement. Poorer Venezuelans, for instance, reportedly have lost even more than 19 pounds. For a single person to lose 19 pounds in a year is no small feat. For a whole country to have averaged such a loss is simply ... revolutionary. That must mean Venezuela is on track to become the healthiest country in South America, and maybe the world.
Climate Change: U.S. output of so-called greenhouse gases continues to decline, a new report shows. Even so, global warming activists are likely to be disappointed. The drop has nothing to do with their pet cause, alternative energy. That´s right. The Environmental Protection Agency´s yearly greenhouse gas emissions report noted that after rising slightly in 2013 and 2014, greenhouse gas output fell in 2015 — the most recent full year for which data are available. OK, but maybe it was a one-year fluke? Hardly. First off, the drop was significant in size — 2.2% on an annual basis, far too big to be a
Donald Trump´s victory over Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election has set off a wave of hysteria across American college campuses. From ´The West Wing´ levels of righteous indignation before Election Day, the Zeitgeist settings at many institutions of higher learning have since been ratcheted up to DEFCON 1 nightmare scenario. Dear reader, just take a look at what´s passing for higher education today: the banning of ´controversial´ speakers, a failed attempt to ban hummus (chickpea paste) from campus dining halls, the creeping trend of ´bias response teams´ that are thinly veiled thought police thugs, filing of a legal brief
An Israeli Defense Forces military court has convicted a young Israeli soldier of voluntary manslaughter after shooting dead a subdued terrorist, captured in the act of trying to kill Israelis. The Palestinian was caught taking part in a string of knife attacks that terrorized the country. The soldier said he feared a bomb belt and believed his life was still in danger. However, the court ruled that it was vengeance and said the ´legitimacy´ of the Israel military was at stake. In a surprisingly even-handed report, CNN said the verdict had triggered protests in Israel and sharply divided society. According
Senator John McCain poured it on for the press at a Munich defense conference Saturday, warning in a veiled attack on President Trump that attacks on the press are a leading danger for democracy. “That´s how dictators are made!” he shrieked. It was rich stuff, given that most of his European listeners do not have the same wide press freedoms found in the states. But more to the point, it was McCain up to his old tricks: Ingratiating himself to the anti-Trump press by playing its champion, in a bid to be the media´s darling. What stands out here is the
Polls: There several conflicting polls out about President Trump´s approval rating. But one thing is clear in all of them: The only reason his numbers are low is because Democrats despise him. The latest approval numbers come from the Pew Research Center, which found that Trump´s overall approval rating in his first month in office is just 39%. That´s far below every other president since Reagan. His approval rating was 55% at this point. Obama´s was 64%, Clinton´s 56%, Bush I´s 63% and Bush II´s 53%. Pew´s number is lower than the IBD/TIPP poll, which has Trump´s approval rating at
A new report from the Centers for Disease Control shows that the uninsured rate has hit a historic low, or at least it´s the lowest it´s been in the 20 years the CDC has been tracking it. This is being treated as trouble for Republicans who want to repeal ObamaCare, since it seems to indicate that the law is working as promised. But does it? According to the report, the overall uninsured rate was 8.8% in the first nine months of 2016. That´s down from 9.1% the year before, and 16% in 2010, the year President Obama signed ObamaCare —
Swampgate: President Trump may have come to Washington to "drain the swamp," but now he´s finding out that it´s full of nasty swamp creatures. And, as he´s also discovered, they bite. The debacle over national security advisor Michael Flynn´s sudden departure over his ill-advised contacts with Russian government officials shows that the Democrats in Congress and the bureaucrats that work with them mean to take as many scalps and do as much damage possible to Trump´s barely 3-weeks-old presidency. If they can fatally damage him early in his first term, all the better. And they have help. The media have been slobbering at
Twitter was ablaze this morning with screechings from Venezuela´s Chavista regime, infuriated at the powerful show of force against their brutal, discredited regime coming from President Trump. Taking an in-your-face approach just three weeks into his presidency, President Trump met with Liliana Tintori, the wife of imprisoned dissident leader Leopoldo Lopez, who was thrown into a dank Chavista dungeon without trial on absolutely phony charges of starting a riot a few years ago. What a hell of a change from the mealy-mouthed, don´t-upset-them approach seen from the Obama and, to some extent, even George Bush White Houses. Trump not only
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., predicted Tuesday that many Republican lawmakers will break from President Trump by June if he continues to push forward with his agenda. Schumer told "The View" that while most Republicans have declined to publicly break with Trump during the first month of his presidency, many privately admit they have "real problems" with him. He also argued that some are sticking by him because of party loyalty and his nomination of Judge Neil Gorsuch to fill the late Antonin Scalia´s seat on the Supreme Court. "When you talk to Republicans quietly — in the cloakroom
Fox News announced the signing of Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel as a healthcare and policy analysis contributor on Tuesday. Along with Jonathan Gruber, Emanuel is best known for being one of the “architects” of the Affordable Care Act. He currently serves as chair of the Department of Medical Ethics and Health Policy at the University of Pennsylvania and is a Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress. He will reportedly appear on both Fox News and Fox Business Network.
A group of global investors with $11 trillion in managed assets told Texas on Tuesday not to enact legislation restricting access to bathrooms for transgender people, saying it is discriminatory and bad for business. The "Texas Privacy Act," or Senate Bill 6, has been marked as a priority for Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick, a Republican and conservative Christian who guides the legislative agenda in the Republican-controlled state Senate. He said the measure protected the privacy and safety of Texans. The bill on a flashpoint issue in the United States is similar to a law enacted last year in North Carolina
A Mexican man has apparently taken his own life just half an hour after being deported from the United States. Guadalupe Olivas Valencia, 45, jumped from a bridge at the border after he was deported for the third time. He was found unconscious next to a plastic bag with his belongings and died in hospital a short while later. His death came as the Trump administration issued new guidelines to widen the net for deporting illegal immigrants from the US. (Snip) Mr Olivas was a native of Sinaloa, one of Mexico's most violent states and the stronghold of the cartel formerly led by jailed drug lord Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman.
(Video) MSNBC´s Mika Brzezinski criticized President Donald Trump on Wednesday for undermining the media´s message by creating his own facts, adding that the "job" of the media is to "control exactly what people think." Brzezinski made the comment on "Morning Joe" after co-host Joe Scarborough said that he agreed with a panelist´s view that Trump supporters are wondering why people are so upset over what the president is doing since he is implementing exactly what he campaigned on. "What Yamiche [Alcindor] said is what I hear from all the Trump supporters that I talk to, who were Trump voters and
AmeriCorps sounded like a good idea. Create a program where American youth could basically earn free college by working and helping their communities. On the surface -- and if you don´t understand the inherent issue with any government program -- it sounds like a great way to help people get their educations. The program -- which never reached the level its creator Bill Clinton envisioned -- now finds itself on the chopping block along with other left-wing darlings such as the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities. College officials are freaking out: The Trump administration is circulating
In San Francisco, an Indian software engineer on a work permit canceled plans to bid on a $900,000 home. In Washington, a Brazilian nonprofit executive passed on a fixer-upper near her office. And, in Mesa, Arizona, a 24-year-old son of undocumented Mexican immigrants won the trust of a bank -- a green light for a mortgage -- but now fears deportation. President Donald Trump’s immigration policies threaten to crack a foundation of the American economy: the residential real estate market. Legal and otherwise, immigrants, long a pillar of growth in homebuying, are no longer feeling the warm welcome and optimism
Astronomers have spotted a star system with planets that could support life just 39 light years away. Seven Earth-like planets have been discovered orbiting nearby dwarf star ´Trappist-1´, and all of them could have water at their surface, one of the key components of life. Three of the planets have such good conditions, that scientists say life may have already evolved on them. Researchers claim that they will know whether or not there is life on any of the planets within a decade, and said ´this is just the beginning.´ No other star system discovered before has been found to
Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D., Ca.) says the darndest things. Since President Trump won the election, Rep. Waters has not hesitated to be an outspoken critic of his administration. She refused to go to his inauguration, stated publicly that she doesn´t want to work with him, called him a dictator, and even called for his impeachment less than a month into his presidency. Here are some of the unusual things Waters has said since the election: (Snip) 3. When she called Trump and his aides a bunch of ‘s*umbags.´ "This is a bunch of s*umbags. That´s what they are." 4. Waters
The Democratic National Committee will choose its next leader on Saturday, and when it does it should choose a leader who will resist the pressure to pursue the wrong white people. (Snip) That is the white flight that should most concern the next D.N.C. chairman, because those voters make up a more promising way to reclaim the White House. The way to win them back is by being more progressive, not less. To be clear, all white voters matter. But Democrats must make tough, data-driven decisions about how to prioritize their work. Right now, too many are using bad math and
A lesbian named Ash Fisher surprised herself by falling in love with a man! Even though she is in a relationship with him, however, she still maintains she is a lesbian. I have a femme tattoo on my arm, which was sticked-and-poked by a fellow queer on another queer´s couch during Pride. I run a queer feminist comedy show called "Man Haters." Much of my standup act revolves around my queerness. Basically, I´m super gay. Before meeting him, I identified not just as queer, but as a dyke.
A THR and National Research Group survey reveals how little the average moviegoing citizen knows about this year´s Oscars. Yes, you read that headline correctly — come hell or high water, six out of 10 Americans could not name a single best picture nominee, according to a new poll commissioned by The Hollywood Reporter that canvassed moviegoers on both sides of the political fence. But, hidden in the figures, there is some good news for the Academy: Seven in 10 respondents say they’ll be watching the Oscars anyway. (Video) THR’s poll — conducted by the National Research Group, which in
