John Kerry apologizes for
State Department’s past

After gay-rights advocates demanded penitence, Secretary of State John Kerry apologized on Monday for the State Department’s past treatment of gay employees. “In the past — as far back as the 1940s, but continuing for decades – the Department of State was among many public and private employers that discriminated against employees and job applicants on the basis of perceived sexual orientation, forcing some employees to resign or refusing to hire certain applicants in the first place,” Mr. Kerry said in a statement. “These actions were wrong then, just as they would be wrong today.” “On behalf of the Department,

Comments:
The insanity of the moron Kerry continues on. The state of the world would be in much better shape if Kerry, Obama, et al had focused on the real purpose of the State Department rather than focusing on gay rights and climate change. I can´t find the link, but I remember an article with photographs showing members of members of the State Department making signs for gay rights to distribute all over the world. It was really stunning.

This is what happens when you have a gay Muslin in the WH running the country.

Oh for goodness sakes, it was known back then that gay men were vulnerable to blackmail plus sodomy was illegal.

Is he sorry for homo Brit Kim Philby, and the Commie Rosenbergs too?

I don´t think Ghengis John has apologized nearly enough. He needs to cut off his own genitalia as a sacrifice to the phallic cult ´god´ of homos everywhere.

Even today there will be gay State employees who don´t want their wives or children to know of their "habits" and are ripe for blackmail.

What a boner-headed statement from Kerry.

You cannot apologize for the actions of others. The one exception might be for parents to apologize on behalf of children who can´t yet speak their own apologiy, but again, those children are innocents who have no idea what they did.
Especially dishonest is apologizing on behalf of dead people. Kerry, you are not our Daddy. Shut up and go away.

There was a reason that gays were not hired by State, and it had nothing to do with homosexuality per se.

Thank God these morons are almost out of office. Can anyone recall a more absurd "transition" in American history? I can´t.

WASHINGTON -- A Missouri congressman and other members of the Congressional Black Caucus plan to rehang this week a student painting depicting a police officer with a boar-type head after an angry GOP congressman took it down. (Snip) On Friday, after learning about the painting´s depiction from Twitter, Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-Calif.) took it down. But Joe Kasper, chief of staff for Hunter, told the San Diego Union-Tribune that despite the "very strong statement" and "outpouring of support" surrounding the painting´s removal, the congressman wouldn´t take down the painting again if his colleague decided to put it back up. “He gets

Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn (F, 45%) did far more than any of his Republican colleagues in the Senate to fight for a deal that vastly enriched the Islamic supremacist nation of Iran. In his dealings with President Obama, Corker authored the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act of 2015, which undermined the Senate’s treaty power in the Constitution. He provided a path for President Obama to hand over an estimated $150 billion to the mullahs in Tehran, and now Corker wants to make sure his legacy legislation stands. Sen. Corker wants President-elect Donald Trump to stick with his nuclear deal, which puts

A historic church in the heart of the nation’s capital has hired a married lesbian couple as co-pastors. Calvary Baptist Church in northwest D.C. announced the hiring of Sally Sarratt and Maria Swearingen on Jan. 8 during morning worship, where they were approved by the congregation. “We have found it so easy to fall in love with Calvary and its longstanding commitment to be a voice of justice and compassion for those who perpetually find the wholeness of their humanity disregarded and maligned,” the pastors said in a press release issued by the church. The progressive church severed its ties with the Southern

Turning attention away from her and toward Donald J. Trump, Meryl Streep used her acceptance speech for the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the Golden Globes to call out the president-elect for appearing to mock a disabled New York Times reporter in 2015, and warned that a free press would need to be defended. Ms. Streep campaigned for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election. Some conservative commentators immediately criticized her decision to bring politics so vividly into the show. But the room roundly applauded her remarks, which included a plea to support the Committee to Protect Journalists.

Professor Michael Eric Dyson thinks that white people should have an ‘Individual Reparations Account’ to make donations to black institutions and individuals. (Snip) I agree with reparations, but maybe this is my white privilege speaking: I can’t imagine actually doing that. That is what I meant by an I.R.A.: an individual reparations account. You ain’t got to ask the government, you don’t have to ask your local politician — this is what you, an individual, conscientious, “woke” citizen can do. But charity can’t be the end of it, right? And the reason is a remarkable one considering that she and her husband, President Obama, are America´s first African-American presidential couple. According to top adviser Valerie Jarrett, Obama is invisible because she is black. In her new book about the importance of black mothers in America and how they walk a tightrope in society, White House correspondent April Ryan revealed that Jarrett

The Gold Star father who blasted Donald Trump at the Democratic convention this summer is returning to the national stage this week, firing off a letter demanding the Senate reject Sen. Jeff Sessions, Mr. Trump’s attorney general nominee. Khizr Khan, the Pakistan-born father of a U.S. Army captain killed in the Iraq war, said his son’s service was a rejection of people like Mr. Sessions, who he accused of associating with racially divisive and ‘intensely anti-Muslim” groups. Mr. Khan also said Mr. Sessions has defended proposals “that would single Muslim immigrants out for discriminatory treatment on the basis of their religious beliefs.” “My
