Baltimore defamation suit against
Marilyn Mosby to move forward

The long, drawn out battles surround the Freddie Gray trials in Baltimore may seem like a distant memory at this point. Much of daily life in the city has returned to normal, even though the murder rate stayed stubbornly high at 318 for last year. (Shockingly, that’s still down from the 344 they rang up the year before, but far higher than 2014’s level of 211, which was far more typical of the past decade.) With all the trials against the police officers involved in Gray’s arrest and subsequent death having failed or been dismissed, the dust has largely settled.

The idea is "Target Baltimore" Mosby has no money to speak of. But, Baltimore has lost of cash to get at over this miscarriage of justice.-Tort Claims legislation in most states will shield the government employee unless gross negligence is shown as strongly provable. In which case, the shield is usually removed. If that´s happens, Mosby is personally libel for legal costs. But, the government agency exposes itself to future liability due to hiring a negligent person who ultimately harmed the Plaintiff, which they openly have to admit by removing the Tort protections. It can get really complicated.

Mosby put the City of Baltimore in a dire legal position with her politically motivated personal ambitions seeking "Black Justice" instead of blind justice. The City Attorney should have stepped in and put her on public notice of withdrawing City legal responsibility for her actions if she did not stop her Black Activist action. But, I imagine the City Attorney was on the same bus as Mosby. Basically, she´s in some really deep legal doo-doo.

It´s wrong to rejoice in anyone misfortune - even if they brought it on themselves. Ms. Mosby may have once had a bright future as a respected attorney. But she drank the kool-aide and proceeded with her malicious and self-righteous prosecution, knowing that the liberal media and court system would have her back.

Unfortunately for her, and other deluded Dems, a new sheriff is in town and those same courts they blatently used to advance their agenda and harm innocent people will come back to bite them.

#7 - Her predicament does not meet my definition of misfortune, but I won´t be wasting my time rejoicing - she isn´t worth my time. There are more important and pressing issues to be dealt with.

U.S. prosecutors on Thursday announced that about $20 million found under a mattress in a Massachusetts apartment had been seized after a Brazilian man was arrested for laundering money linked to a multi-billion-dollar global fraud. Federal prosecutors in Boston charged Cleber Rene Rizerio Rocha, 28, with conspiring to commit money laundering in a case connected to the investigation of TelexFree Inc, which promoted itself as an internet telecom company but prosecutors say was actually a pyramid scheme. Rocha was detained following a court hearing, prosecutors said. His lawyer did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The arrest stemmed from an investigation

MEXICO CITY — An official working at the United States consulate in Guadalajara, the second-largest city in Mexico, was shot and wounded on Friday evening by a young man who stalked him in the parking lot of a shopping mall and then fired as he drove out. The State Department official, who was not identified, was in stable condition after the shooting, a spokeswoman from the United States Embassy in Mexico City said on Saturday. Neither embassy officials nor the Mexican attorney general’s office commented on a possible motive. Guadalajara is the capital of Jalisco, the headquarters of the New

After recent tutorials advising lone jihadists how to commit knife and vehicle attacks, the Islamic State´s latest issue of Rumiyah magazine counsels terrorists on waging arson attacks -- with a Dallas megachurch suggested as a possible target. The October issue of ISIS´ Rumiyah -- which is published in multiple languages including English, Russian, German, Croatian, Pashto, Urdu and Indonesian -- instructed lone jihadists to launch random knife attacks, with a warning to pick a suitable blade for the job. The November issue moved on to a different type of lone attack tutorial -- or "just terror" attacks, as ISIS calls them --

The huge challenge of covering Trump fairly

The approaching presidency of Donald Trump poses daunting challenges for the journalists covering him, not merely because he has described them as dishonest, low-life scum or because of anxiety over whether the new administration will adhere to basic norms of access, such as daily briefings and regular news conferences. The president-elect’s behavior presents fundamental questions, recurring daily if not hourly, about the best way to serve our audience. These are technical issues of craft, ordinarily of interest only to journalists themselves. In the Age of Trump, they are imbued with real-world consequences. Should news organizations depart from customary restraint and

Or maybe, they will finally figure out that BLM is hurting the black lives that really matter—innocent people living among criminals. (Okay, that’s a fantasy, I admit.) In the first days of 2017, legislators in five states have introduced so-called "bathroom bills" restricting access to public accommodations. Legislative moves this week in Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Texas and Virginia represent the latest efforts at the center of a broader public debate over transgender rights. Additionally, lawmakers in Alabama, South Carolina and Washington filed so-called bathroom bills last year for introduction during the upcoming sessions. Since 2013, at least 24 states have considered restricting access to restrooms, locker rooms and other facilities on the basis of biological sex, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures.

A declassified U.S. intelligence report released Friday directly accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of ordering a campaign to influence the U.S. election and hurt Hillary Clinton’s candidacy – findings made public after officials briefed President-elect Donald Trump. The report said: “We assess with high confidence that Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered an influence campaign in 2016 aimed at the US presidential election, the consistent goals of which were to undermine public faith in the US democratic process, denigrate Secretary Clinton, and harm her electability and potential presidency. We further assess Putin and the Russian Government developed a clear preference for

DONALD Trump’s plans to move the US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem is a “declaration of war on Muslims”, a close aide of Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas has declared. Donald Trump wants to overturn years of government policy and move the US embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Mr Trump’s advisors say the move is a “priority” for the president-elect after his inauguration later this month. But the billionaire businessman’s plans have been criticised by one of Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas’s aides. Mahmoud al-Habash said the proposal to move the embassy is "a declaration of war on Muslims."

A group of wealthy elites who bundled millions for Barack Obama’s presidential campaigns are having their lives “upended” because their ambassadorships at plum posts will end when Obama leaves office. The New York Times reported that President-elect Donald Trump’s transition staff has informed the State Department that politically appointed ambassadors must leave by Inauguration Day. The Times called it a “break with precedent” to remove political ambassadors, many of whom received their posts by fundraising for Barack Obama, on schedule by Jan. 20. The new administration is “declining to provide even the briefest of grace periods,” the Times wrote, referencing

Conservative author and television personality Monica Crowley, whom Donald Trump has tapped for a top national security communications role, plagiarized large sections of her 2012 book, a CNN KFile review has found. The review of Crowley’s June 2012 book, "What The (Bleep) Just Happened," found upwards of 50 examples of plagiarism from numerous sources, including the copying with minor changes of news articles, other columnists, think tanks, and Wikipedia. The New York Times bestseller, published by the HarperCollins imprint Broadside Books, contains no notes or bibliography. Crowley did not return a request for comment. Toxic masculinity is a very real problem. Just ask January Jones. She believes having a strong male influence would do the boy more harm than good. “It’s good to have strong women around a man. To teach him
