JERUSALEM -- A senior Israeli Cabinet minister on Wednesday called U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry´s planned Mideast policy speech a "pathetic step," further heightening tensions between the two close allies as the Obama administration prepares to leave office. The comments by Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan were the latest salvo in a toxic exchange following the U.S.´s refusal to veto a U.N. Security Council resolution last week that called Israeli settlements in the West Bank and east Jerusalem a violation of international law. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has slammed the resolution, and accused the U.S. of colluding with

Obama proves he is a muslim supporter as he wrote in his book that he will stand with the muslims. These actions against Israel is his weak attempt to tie Trumps hand in the middle east. His legacy is one of a feckless, naive, cowardly community organizer who with the help of the MSM has lowered American respect by other world countries, reduce the economic power of American workers, created a larger entitlement group of lazy a..holes and created the largest unemployment of so called people who are no longer considered to be in the work force, some 94 million Americans. the 4.5% unemployed is a national disgrace perpetrated by a failed administration. January 20 is 3 weeks away,we can all hope he takes his ball and goes home (Kenya?) before he does too much more damage.
He stabbed Israel in the back and I´m completely befuddled by lack of American Jews who haven´t complained about him but still enable him. Thankfully Israeli have the balls that American Jewry does not, they simply hate Israel as the hate America because both nations are successful, innovative, capitalistic and scientifically superior to the world at large. EVERY American should support Israel against the muslim terrorists who want to push it into the sea and destroy the Great Satan: the USA.

The “day without immigrants”

Do you remember that “day without immigrants” protest that we talked about last week? It took place as predicted (and in fact demanded by activist organizers on the left). But in at least one location in Tennessee some of the participants learned a rapid and likely lasting lesson about the intersection of free speech and personal responsibility. Bradley Coatings, Inc. found out at the last minute that their tightly packed customer schedule was going to go up in flames when nearly 20 of their employees announced with roughly 12 hours notice that they would be taking part in the poorly

What happens if they disappear? Unnerved by the high-profile arrests of 600 undocumented immigrants across six states last week -- not including Pennsylvania and New Jersey -- some Philadelphia-area businesses and restaurants that employ foreign-born staff, in the United States legally or not, are expected to take part Thursday in a “Day Without Immigrants” protest.

As the clock ticks down to a confirmation vote on Betsy DeVos’ nomination as U.S. secretary of education, Philadelphians continue to weigh in on President Trump’s pick. Mayor Kenney on Monday sent Sen. Pat Toomey (R., Pa.) a letter asking him to vote against DeVos, whose confirmation is expected Tuesday. The liberal columnist for USA Today doesn´t have a problem with all liberals, just the subset she defines as the "illiberal left." As political discourse has become more coarse, she sees growing danger. In her recent book, The Silencing, she argues some on her side want no part of fair debate and are taking an axe to free speech. The "illiberal left," she writes, "act in direct contradiction to the fundamental liberal values of free speech, debate and dissent" and "adopt tactics they claim to

The administration will now characterize those citizens as "mental defectives," thereby having their ability to own a firearm subject to the federal Gun Control Act. Supplemental Security Income helps blind, disabled, and elderly people with little to no income. Previously, it was understood that "mentally defective" referred to one´s mental health. Any honest man, looking back on a very long life, must admit -- even if only to himself -- being a relic of a bygone era. Having lived long enough to have seen both "the greatest generation" that fought World War II and the gratingest generation that we see all around us today, makes being a relic of the past more of a boast than an admission. Not everything in the past was admirable. Poet W.H. Auden called the 1930s "a low dishonest decade." So were the 1960s, which launched many of the trends we are experiencing so painfully today.

The mainstream media have stepped up their complaints about President Trump amid pious howls mostly about the First Amendment. The issue, however, has nothing to do with that. It´s that these organizations are openly asserting a right to define, control and impose their world-view on us. That´s the real problem. To start, they are defining what is and isn´t offensive in America today, claiming they can make those designations even while admitting they don´t have all the facts, and that you, the reader, deserve to lose your job if you fall outside of the rigid box they construct.
