Tony Blair must take some
blame for Rotherham scandal

Daily Express [UK], by Virginia Blacburn

Original Article

Posted By:Attercliffe, 9/5/2014 4:43:05 AM

On and on it goes, each detail more ghastly than the last as the tale emerges of men of Pakistani origin abusing white children in Rotherham. [Snip] It was Blair and his cohorts who decided to change the face of Britain without bothering to mention it to the rest of us and they most certainly succeeded. They opened the gates to mass immigration purely as an act of political spite to the Tories and never gave a thought to the consequences. Anyone who even murmured that maybe this wasn´t a good idea was shouted down as a racist. And heaven

Comments:
Somehow seems familiar, doesn´t it? Ex-Prime Minister Tony Blair (and his even further-left wife Cherie, the human rights lawyer) heavily responsible by virtue of Labour Party poliicies. I keep saying that the Blairs are, in many ways, the role models for the Obamas. Don´t blame it all on the British people--they were hoodwinked every bit as much as those who believed Obama´s campaign promises.

Welsh Businesses Lose Millions

CARDIFF, United Kingdom – Local businesses in Newport and Cardiff, Wales are counting the cost today of the 2014 NATO summit, after many of them recorded their most disastrous week ever. Shops, bars and restaurants emptied as regular customers avoided the two cities as a result of the colossal security operation to protect President Obama and other world leaders. [Snip] “People are avoiding Cardiff because they believe they can’t come here as long as NATO is going on. It’s like they built a fence around us. We’ve had more police in the bar than we’ve had customers.” His bar hosts

David Cameron and Barack Obama today demanded other Nato countries start paying their way by drastically increasing military spending. [Snip] The United States has by far the biggest military budget in Nato – spending more than four per cent of its GDP on defence. Out of the remaining 27 Nato members only Britain, Greece and Estonia spend more than two per cent of their national income on defence. In today’s joint article in The Times, Mr Cameron and the US President wrote: ‘By working together we are stronger, whether in standing up to Russia or confronting Isil.’

A computer server hosting information for Healthcare.gov, the flagship Obamacare website that millions of Americans have trusted with their social security numbers, income totals and other sensitive personal information, was the subject of a hacker attack earlier this summer, officials said Thursday. The federal government wasn´t aware it had been hacked on July 8 until just ten days ago. The admission is fueling fires on Capitol Hill. The powerful House Oversight and Government Reform Committee announced Thursday afternoon that it has ordered Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) chief Marilyn Tavenner to testify in a September 18 hearing about

British jihadis fighting in Syria want to come home after becoming disillusioned with the conflict, it emerged today. In the last three years, more than 500 radicalised Britons are believed to have headed out to the war-torn country, where Islamist groups are fighting President Bashar Assad´s forces. But some of those who signed up to fight have now contacted authorities in Britain saying they have had enough of the war-zone and want to return home, it was reported today. Almost every day there is yet another revelation in the Rotherham child abuse scandal, and it is all too easy to become diverted from calm consideration of the deep-seated causes of the affair into emotional outbursts of anger at those who committed such crimes and those who pretended that it was not happening. [Snip] The dangers in Rotherham and Birmingham were clear enough. The authorities, local government, social services, education authorities, and police alike had begun to talk about their relations with "the community" as though it were a sovereign body and accepting that different codes of conduct applied within

The man does not have a strategy. [Snip] For over a year, practically on a daily basis, the man who occupies the Oval Office was briefed about the growing threat of a terrorist group which is so brutal that even Al Qaeda has disavowed any connection to it. The man who laid claim to the highest office in the world was told, warned, informed, cautioned, alerted and briefed with precise details about the rise of IS (formerly ISIS or ISIL). The man who has a definite strategy for employing thousands of agents to spy on innocent American citizens doesn’t have a strategy vis-à-vis the butchers of ISIS.

Terror experts fear Libyan fanatics are planning a 9/11 copycat attack after 11 commercial planes were stolen from Tripoli airport. They believe the jets were taken by Islamic militant groups who seized control of the war-torn capital city´s international hub. Analysts say there is "credible intelligence" that they will use next Thursday´s anniversary to fly the planes into high-profile targets. [Snip] Libyan Dawn and Ansar al Sharia - which boasts links to the Islamic State - have controlled parts of the airport. But Moroccan military expert Abderrahmane Mekkaoui said the planes were captured by a third Islamic group, the Masked Men Brigade.

While the unit is a mixed gender unit, in 2009, about 70 per cent of the unit was female, according to the International Business Times. In scenes described by ferry operators as "not unusual", dozens of illegal immigrants broke through security fencing and dodged gun wielding policemen in a bid to board Britain-bound cross-channel ferries at the French port of Calais last night. [Snip] Firstly a group of around 90--100 men made a break for the ferries by breaking through a gate and scaling fences, but were thwarted by the ferry crew raising the ramp before they could reach it. Nato, 65 years old this year, represents one of the most successful military alliances in history. It is a triumph of sovereignty pooled on a voluntary basis--without the need for rigid supranational structures. It is the alliance that kept at bay the Soviet Union until it collapsed under the weight of its own failings and contradictions. The result was that millions of people who had lived under oppression in Eastern Europe were able to join the free and democratic world. Nato has also acted to protect those at risk in the Balkans and in Libya, and has led an international coalition

It follows the banning this week of vacuum cleaners which have motors above the new EU limit of 1,600 watts in a bid to cut energy usage. The permitted wattage will be almost halved again from September 2017 as the limit is reduced to 900 watts. Dozens of other everyday appliances could have

President Obama said Wednesday that the federal government has authenticated a video showing the beheading of American journalist Steven Sotloff at the hands of Islamist militants, and the U.S. objective now is to “degrade and destroy” those militants so they no longer pose a threat to the civilized world. Speaking at a press conference alongside Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves in the Estonian capital of Tallinn, Mr. Obama seemed to lay the groundwork for expanded U.S. action against the terrorist group known as the Islamic State, also known by the acronyms ISIL and ISIS. Maybe the news that a second American has been beheaded will force President Obama to recognize he has no more compelling priority today than stopping the Islamic State and its bloodletting. In its latest barbarity, ISIS aimed to project American weakness to the world. Just before he beheaded Steven Sotloff, the ISIS executioner explained the butchery this way: I’m back, Obama, and I’m back because of your arrogant foreign policy towards the Islamic State, because of your insistence on continuing your bombings.?.?. Up to 70 veteran USA Today journalists, editors, and others were laid off Wednesday, and reports claim that the newly unemployed were "marched out by security" and within 15 minutes had their email accounts shut off. The layoffs came as no surprise after the Gannett Company followed the lead of many other companies that have already separated and spun off their dying publishing business into separate companies. It was only a few weeks ago that Gannett did the same. USA Today is Gannett´s flagship publication and enjoys the highest circulation of any other American newspaper. FRIENDSHIP, Maine -- Imagine Cape Cod without cod. Maine without lobster. The region´s famous rocky beaches invisible, obscured by constant high waters. It´s already starting to happen. The culprit is the warming seas - and in particular the Gulf of Maine, whose waters are heating up faster than 99 percent of the world´s oceans, scientists say. Long-established species of commercial fish, like cod, herring and northern shrimp, are departing for colder waters. Black sea bass, blue crabs and new species of squid - all highly unusual for the Gulf - are turning up in fishermen´s nets. The Gulf of Maine´s warming reflects broader

The home-cooked meal has long been romanticized, from ’50s-era sitcoms to the work of star food writer Michael Pollan, who once wrote, “far from oppressing them, the work of cooking approached in the proper spirit offered a kind of fulfillment and deserved an intelligent woman’s attention.” In recent years, the home-cooked meal has increasingly been offered up as the solution to our country´s burgeoning nutrition-related health problems of heart disease and diabetes. But while home-cooked meals are typically healthier than restaurant food, sociologists Sarah Bowen, Sinikka Elliott, and Joslyn Brenton from North Carolina State University argue that the stress that

Rudy Giuliani has plans to change golf. The former mayor, a strategic adviser to the PGA, says he wants to make the game “simpler” by shortening rounds to 12 holes. “We have to make it simpler and easier. Let’s shorten the course and make playing 12 holes instead of 18 holes the norm,” Giuliani declared in a Hamptons magazine cover story with golfer Raymond Floyd. “I’ve played tennis for 20 years, and I’ve never played five sets like the pros do,” he explained. “I’ll play three sets with my pals. So why play 18 holes? That’s what pros do to win tournaments.” Giuliani
