“If we are joined by the international community, we can continue to shrink ISIL´s sphere of influence, its effectiveness, its financing, its military capabilities, to the point where it is a manageable problem...what we´ve got to do is make sure that we are organizing the Arab world, the Middle East, the Muslim world, along with the international community, to isolate this cancer.” - President Obama at a press conference in Estonia this morning. Comments:
What an incredibly inspirational article on what American force can do and what we achieved in Iraq. It´s too bad Obama has destroyed it all because of politics.

Why Must The Safety Of
Americans Depend on Others?
Breitbart Big Peace, by Joel B. Pollak    Original Article

President Barack Obama has struggled to sound convincing in recent days as he addressed the challenge of ISIS--or "ISIL," his preferred acronym for the so-called Islamic State. Obama´s problem goes beyond gaffes about his lack of strategy. The fundamental issue is that he is ambivalent about his role in protecting Americans at home and abroad, and has made the safety of American citizens dependent on other nations´ cooperation. On Aug. 28, when Obama made his infamous "We don´t have a strategy" remark, he also said this: "...in order for us to degrade ISIL over the long term, we´re going to have

The Islamic State has claimed on social media that it is utilizing captured Syrian pilots to learn how to fly stolen jets, according to a CNN Arabic report over the weekend. The Syrian pilots, which are part of the Syrian Armed Forces loyal to president Bashar al-Assad, had been captured after the Islamic State seized Tabqa airbase in Raqqa, Syria. The Islamic State took Tabqa airbase after a four-day battle with the Syrian military. Tabqa is home to a plethora of fighter jets, helicopters, artillery, and large caches of ammunition. It still remains unclear how much quantity of the munitions

Up to 70 veteran USA Today journalists, editors, and others were laid off Wednesday, and reports claim that the newly unemployed were "marched out by security" and within 15 minutes had their email accounts shut off. The layoffs came as no surprise after the Gannett Company followed the lead of many other companies that have already separated and spun off their dying publishing business into separate companies. It was only a few weeks ago that Gannett did the same. USA Today is Gannett´s flagship publication and enjoys the highest circulation of any other American newspaper. Nonetheless, The New York Times reports that

The business group that has been pushing for amnesty but that has often backed Republican candidates is throwing its support behind Democrats in several key House races this cycle. According to reports in Roll Call, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce will have endorsed four Democratic candidates in the House races by the end of the week. Wednesday the Chamber endorsed California Democratic Rep. Scott Peters, a vulnerable freshman facing reelection against Republican challenger Carl DeMaio. “We believe that your re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives will help produce sustained economic growth, help create jobs, and get our country back

Al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri announced the formation of a new chapter — the Al-Qaeda Jihad Organization in South Asia — intended to ”raise the flag of jihad” in India and beyond. “This step is an effort for the ascendancy of Islam, re-establishment of Islamic government, and rule of Islamic sharia in the land of South Asia, which was once part of the world of Islam but infidels captured it and divided it into small pieces,” Zawahiri said, according to a MEMRI translation. The terror leader said the formation of the new wing has been underway for “nearly two years” now. The expansion

We read so many stories about this “critical juncture” or that “pivotal moment” in foreign policy that it’s hard to know which to take seriously. “Whither NATO?” has been a hardy if sleepy perennial since the North Atlantic Treaty Organization was founded in 1949. But this time the credibility of NATO, the international order in the Middle East and Europe, and the foreign policy legacy of Barack Obama’s presidency are all genuinely on the line. If that’s not enough, so is the role of the United States in the world. Can we lead anymore? If we can’t lead the NATO

But earlier this year the 44-year-old was arrested at J.F.K airport on his way home from Lebanon after trying and failing to join ISIS terrorists fighting in Syria. According to U.S. officials, Morgan spent eight months in the Middle East where he tried to sell military-grade guns and ammunition online. President Obama said Wednesday that the federal government has authenticated a video showing the beheading of American journalist Steven Sotloff at the hands of Islamist militants, and the U.S. objective now is to “degrade and destroy” those militants so they no longer pose a threat to the civilized world. Speaking at a press conference alongside Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves in the Estonian capital of Tallinn, Mr. Obama seemed to lay the groundwork for expanded U.S. action against the terrorist group known as the Islamic State, also known by the acronyms ISIL and ISIS. FRIENDSHIP, Maine -- Imagine Cape Cod without cod. Maine without lobster. The region´s famous rocky beaches invisible, obscured by constant high waters. It´s already starting to happen. The culprit is the warming seas - and in particular the Gulf of Maine, whose waters are heating up faster than 99 percent of the world´s oceans, scientists say. Long-established species of commercial fish, like cod, herring and northern shrimp, are departing for colder waters. Black sea bass, blue crabs and new species of squid - all highly unusual for the Gulf - are turning up in fishermen´s nets. The Gulf of Maine´s warming reflects broader

Maybe the news that a second American has been beheaded will force President Obama to recognize he has no more compelling priority today than stopping the Islamic State and its bloodletting. In its latest barbarity, ISIS aimed to project American weakness to the world. Just before he beheaded Steven Sotloff, the ISIS executioner explained the butchery this way: I’m back, Obama, and I’m back because of your arrogant foreign policy towards the Islamic State, because of your insistence on continuing your bombings.?.?. So just as your missiles continue to strike our people, our knife will continue to strike the necks of your

Over the weekend, former President Jimmy Carter addressed the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) in Detroit. He told the assembly that the principles of Allah will benefit the whole world. Jimmy Carter left the Southern Baptist Church a few years back, citing its “rigid” views. Muslim views tend to be a whole lot more “rigid.” For instance, Saudi Arabia doesn’t allow Christians to build any churches. Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood supporters are waging pogroms against Christians. If a Muslim leaves Islam, they are called an apostate and are often marked or death. One can be an apostate just by having

Rudy Giuliani has plans to change golf. The former mayor, a strategic adviser to the PGA, says he wants to make the game “simpler” by shortening rounds to 12 holes. “We have to make it simpler and easier. Let’s shorten the course and make playing 12 holes instead of 18 holes the norm,” Giuliani declared in a Hamptons magazine cover story with golfer Raymond Floyd. “I’ve played tennis for 20 years, and I’ve never played five sets like the pros do,” he explained. “I’ll play three sets with my pals. So why play 18 holes? That’s what pros do to win tournaments.” Giuliani

The home-cooked meal has long been romanticized, from ’50s-era sitcoms to the work of star food writer Michael Pollan, who once wrote, “far from oppressing them, the work of cooking approached in the proper spirit offered a kind of fulfillment and deserved an intelligent woman’s attention.” In recent years, the home-cooked meal has increasingly been offered up as the solution to our country´s burgeoning nutrition-related health problems of heart disease and diabetes. But while home-cooked meals are typically healthier than restaurant food, sociologists Sarah Bowen, Sinikka Elliott, and Joslyn Brenton from North Carolina State University argue that the stress that
