U.S. Chamber of Commerce
Endorses Dems In Key House Races

Breitbart Big Government, by Caroline May

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 9/4/2014 1:15:38 PM

The business group that has been pushing for amnesty but that has often backed Republican candidates is throwing its support behind Democrats in several key House races this cycle. According to reports in Roll Call, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce will have endorsed four Democratic candidates in the House races by the end of the week. Wednesday the Chamber endorsed California Democratic Rep. Scott Peters, a vulnerable freshman facing reelection against Republican challenger Carl DeMaio. “We believe that your re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives will help produce sustained economic growth, help create jobs, and get our country back

Comments:
I guess the stupid Republicans who are oh so cozy with the Chamber haven´t figured out the reprehensible Thomas Donohue will stab them in the back. Donahue was on with Neil Cavuto the other day and he made my skin crawl. I don´t trust him for a second.

Too late, republicans may wake up. The C of C is not their friends and while they may give money, they can´t buy votes!

I know my sentiments goes against the grain, when I say the republicans should NOT gain control of both the House, and Senate next November

However, if they do, they will yield to the Chamber of Commerce´s, et al wishes . . ., well, actually their money, which will ASSURE their resounding loss of both chambers, plus the Whitehouse in 2016.

We will have to ´suck it up´, and endure the devastating spiral we´re in, because the current crop of republican candidates up for election/reelected do not desire to change the nation´s direction.

I would hope by 2016, even the dense republicans (and there are plenty of them), will come to realize the country needs REAL conservatives to restore our place in the world, not the Romney´s, McCain´s, McConnell, and Boehner type of politicians.

CAVEAT: If a majority of democrats come to realize that Obama should be impeached, we might dodge the bullets.

I´m not sure we are allowed to have it both ways in politics. I see the C of C condemned and vilified on these threads day after day with posters vowing to defeat any GOP candidate who takes C of C money, since the C of C is considered to be "establishment". So, now the C of C is to be blamed for taking some of their money elsewhere?

These are businessmen. They will support the candidates who are business friendly. It´s as simple as that. A Tea Party candidate who yells that the C of C is crony capitalism at its worst has no room to squall.

#4: Some business men are short sighted, or TRAPPED.

Far sighted business men are making strides to move their business´ out of the country, those trapped, such a large farm cooperatives, slaughter houses, fruit growers et al; those facing ´free trade´ competition, mouths´ water for illegal workers amnesty programs, to level the playing field --- Actually, it doesn´t level the playing field; the taxpayers will subsidize their business´, is all: kind of like the taxpayers subsidizes ethanol.

This is not surprising. Democrats were once pro business and there may be a few still out there. The Progressives are anti-business. The Chief Progressive has always been Hillary Clinton. She was unsympathetic to Mom and Pop if their business was "underfunded." Someone once told me that business knows no politics. That said, the Chamber doesn´t seem to be getting a coherent message out these days without veiled and not so veiled threats. Shame.

ADDENDUM to Post#8:

What makes the illegal immigrant amnesty program so devastating is the fact that we´re on the cusp of programming robots to be able to pick fruit, harvest grain, and do almost all menial type laboring jobs.

With the above in mind, it´s not hard to see the social dilemma which will be created by having to care for the present population of unskilled workers, when there´s no longer jobs for them. Now, let´s add an extra 30 to 40 million, foreign, unskilled workers whom are given amnesty to the mix. Tell me, how can the skilled population possibly support them?

ASIDE: Do you realize that with the necessity of fewer workers, there will be fewer affluent consumers, as well? How will that affect society? Something to think about, eh? My guess is, cute, sexy, humans will become ´must have´ pets, which can be part of the solution.

The Obama administration is ramping up its response to West Africa´s Ebola crisis, preparing to assign 3,000 U.S. military personnel to the afflicted region to supply medical and logistical support to overwhelmed local health care systems and to boost the number of beds needed to isolate and treat victims of the epidemic. In early June 1964, a group of Republican governors sought to wrestle control of their party from Barry Goldwater, the Arizona conservative who was about to lead the GOP to one of the most crushing defeats in its history. The governors saw a disaster in the making, and sought a moderate candidate who could capture the imaginations of grassroots Republicans—but also beat President Lyndon Johnson in the general election. Led by Ohio’s James Rhodes—the Republican Governors Association was meeting in Cleveland, and Rhodes was a legendary vote counter—the group included Pennsylvania’s William Scranton and later New York’s Nelson Rockefeller.
