12-year-old pleads not guilty
to killing homeless man

Jacksonville, Fla. — A 12-year-old boy accused of shooting and killing a 54-year-old homeless man in a Westside parking lot pleaded not guilty Tuesday in juvenile court. Sharron Townsend is charged with murder in the death of Thomas Trent, who was found dead at a vacant business in the 7400 block of 103rd Street about 7:20 a.m. June 28. Police said Townsend shot Trent one time in the head. Police said Townsend admitted to shooting Trent with a .22-caliber gun. Investigators said Townsend and Trent did not know each other, and the killing appears to be random.

Comments:
Of course he´s not guilty; it was the heavy shackles of slavery that caused this promising young Gentle African-American to lash out and kill a "random" stranger who just happened to be white. And of course there´s not even a whisper of this being a hate crime, as by definition African-Americans are blameless when striking a blow against the wicked beneficiaries of White Privilege.

Such a waste. And Townsend was to start medical school when he was 13. Until then he helped the unfortunate the best way he could.

But an End-Of-Life discussion with the homeless Mr. Trent ended badly.

A teachable moment for the homeless man went awry when he argued with Townsend´s answer to a complex differential equation problem that whitey of course got wrong whilst the young genius did it correctly in his head as he hurried home from his second job to help his crippled mom and other needy people in the community, as he had to be at choir practice in an hour.

As others have noted, he could qualify as another ´´son of Obama´´ -- if Obama were in fact anatomically correct and capable of producing.... anything.
Come on, look at him. ´´Obama´´, that is.

As for Sharron Townsend in all seriousness, he´s an excellent example of why the death penalty should be available for use starting at age 12.

Washington, DC — The House has passed a bill that could make it a little harder for people to use government welfare payments to buy marijuana in states where the drug is legal. Supporters call it the "no welfare for weed" bill. The bill would prevent people from using government-issued welfare debit cards to make purchases at stores that sell marijuana. It would also prohibit people from using the cards to withdraw cash from ATMs in those stores. The House passed the bill Tuesday evening on a voice vote. As wildfires burned in California, a study by several major environmental groups estimated that climate change could mean that future blazes will be much larger and add billions of dollars to already costly losses. The 46-page study released Tuesday, titled "Flammable Planet: Wildfires and the Social Cost of Carbon," is part of an ongoing project by three groups to examine what it calls the missing risks, such as wildfires, that climate change can make more expensive. The groups are the Environmental Defense Fund, the Institute for Policy Integrity at NYU School of Law, and the Natural Resources Defense Council.
